More of a "what did you build in the past month" picture. I picked up the Grand Emporium off eBay two years ago for about $180, a bit below the usual going rate. It was advertised as mostly complete and indeed was only missing about 10 common parts (somehow I don't have spare 1x2 white slopes in my bulk so I haven't quite finished the roof yet). I wasn't terribly excited to build it but I ended up really enjoying the process and I really like the final result. It reminds me of some of the buildings my wife and I saw when we traveled to Europe that summer. The Troll Warship was sort of an impulse buy. I've always wanted it (The Green Dragon!) and ended up with two partial lots in January that I hoped to be able to complete one from at a bargain price, but I was still looking at another $40+ if I really wanted it complete with all minfigures. I ended up winning one complete at auction on eBay for a total of about fifty cents more than I'd invested in the two lots. I already sold off part of that incomplete version for more than I expected, so once I sell the extra Green Dragon I'll probably come out a few $ ahead on the initial two lots, but not a good hourly rate, ha. Live and learn. I'm happy to have one complete and to have finally deleted it from my saved searches on eBay! I processed another 15 used sets from a bulk lot of partially built sets that I got locally last year and have sold most already, but I kept that Clone BP - those troopers look great! Finally, I ended up having to buy the Dewback set rom one of you off eBay as I missed it before retirement, but I want it to go with the new Bantha set...A really nice small build! There is a lot of terrible stuff happening in the world at the moment, but I'm thankful for my family's health and I've enjoyed the extra time to build and sort LEGO as a pleasant distraction. I reinventoried my very small supply of used parts on BL after a couple of inventory issues in January and sorted them out of plastic bags and into nice containers (you can see two of them in the background). Those may never pay for themselves as used parts are only a small part of my BL revenue, but it was worth it for the peace of mind of knowing I have what is advertised and that I can find it much quicker. I've done some MOCing, built the original 76021 Milano yesterday, and I am excited to start another project (or 5) soon (tonight). Happy building to all!

Found a guy selling off his collection locally. Most of his sets he had priced about $20 below Ebay. Good prices, just not good enough for resale. However, he did have a few priced low enough to make a profit that I pulled the trigger. Got a 8039 used Venator for $100, used 7259 ARC-170 for $40, NIB 75046 Coruscant Police Gunship for $100, NIB 70410 Pirates Soldiers outpost for $20, used 1906 Majisto's Tower for $20. Anyway, I spent yesterday and today washing and restoring color to the bricks. I built the ARC-170 tonight. I gotta say, that is one of the most enjoyable Star Wars builds I have done in a while. I thought that the build techniques used were very cool and original. I highly recommend that set for any Star Wars fans.

Hi. The mods decided to lock this thread again. We think members need a break from COVID-19 talk on a Lego fan site. Is anyone building LEGO? If so, please post pics, create a new topic, and reply to existing ones. So far during this debacle, my kids built a Friends Art truck, Vader's transformation, & the LEGO Easter giveaways. They are doing a 500 piece Thomas Kinkaid Disney Jungle Book puzzle now. Personally, I found time to build Capt, Rex's whatever you call and fixed a few sets that fell apart last yr (mainly Rebels Vader Tie vs. A-Wing) . I'm building the Creator Expect Ford Mustang when not working my real job, dealing with the wife, and helping the kids w/ their online schooling,

This is market specific... some (if not most) areas just don't have the demographics or affluence to support frequent and profitable LEGO sales on FB Marketplace.

Even in small things we can see people's sensitivity when there are difficult times. In this community there are people with great hearts and altruism. Administrators are good people. Thank you all for your help. THANK YOU!!!!

I think the bigger lesson from this is that even after a relatively short amount of time; noticeable improvements in the environment can be made. I think some folks have a fatalistic (it's too late) view on many of our personal and societal problems such as smoking and pollution...you could be a pack aday smoker for your whole life..stop today and start making real improvements in your lungs/health in a short time...never too late.

I wish are profiles would show which state we live in. Over the years I have been able to get an idea of where members are located. Alpine Maps is in Switzerland, Exciter1 lives in an Amish community and Darth_Raich is on a Death Star somewhere.

Phil, do you know where is a cheap place to get 11x8x3 boxes? This size doesn't seem popular, but I think it fits the standard lego set fairly well.

Lol, I still have 6 unopened bottles sitting in my garage still even after what I used. I buy a lot of used sets so I keep a decent on hand supply.

pretty neat set, built this with a nephew a while back. The technic wheels are very low in friction. We both liked how this allowed for some decent playability and great for pulling ‘donuts’ on smooth surfaces. 🍩

It’s already north of 100,000 with no peak or end in sight and would be far higher if we weren’t all freaking out. A novel virus with no immunity is temporary and lethal threat. Those other things are not liable to infect/affect most of the population in a short period of time and are also largely the result of conscious lifestyle decisions whereas this virus doesn’t discriminate in who it infects. Because of this problem, I have to sell many LEGO from my collection. My entire collection was Brickfolio registered and I don't have a copy. I recorded over 800 sets. I ask you if it is possible to have an exel file where I can see the purchase price of my LEGO to be able to resell. You would do me a great favor.I need your help. Agreed on this. I'd love to sell some sets but have no idea how much I paid for them! I get the whole "backing things up" but also never imagined we wouldn't have access for six weeks or more.

Built Jokerland with my 8 year old. I originally wanted to convert this over to my fairground, but think it will be better for Halloween Town, paired with some other sets (like the Hidden Side Rollercoaster)

First Lego set purchased in a few years. Huge pirate fan.

My buddy held a Lego build a castle challenge over the weekend through our FB family. We were encouraged to use whatever Lego we had "around" the house. Those without kids like me were encouraged to join as well. With most of my loose Lego in storage I decided to bust open a water damaged 10237 ToO. I made sure to say it was a set and not custom. Took me about 15 hrs I'd say. I liked the build and it looks awesome. Now to break it down I guess.

A little reward for all the hard work this week ....

We have been going through our Facebook Marketplace find from last month and sorting all of the pieces into each individual set. Now we are finally to the stage of getting to do some building! First up: 10019 UCS Rebel Bloackade Runner, which was missing 0 pieces. We are a little over halfway finished. I did have to order a replacement sticker sheet, which is en route.

Finished this tonight. Life at home with two kids and still took me three seatings to complete a 275 pcs set. Pathetic. Anyway I enjoyed the build and the result looks real good for a small set. Proportions are much better than the six stud wide SC from before. However I did discover that this F8 is for bald guys only. The hood won’t close all the way with helmet or hair piece on.

Farnsworth House from a used lot... not my most careful build since I was just checking for completeness. Oddly it was missing one 6x10 plate of all things so I had to replace with the wrong color while I order one. Nice looking set but boring repetitive build.

I built the 8099 Midi-Scale Imperial Star Destroyer I bought used on Facebook MarketPlace. Though the build was repetitive, which is to be expected for a set like this, it is interesting how the relatively small inner core of the ship that forms the base is where the rest of the structure attaches. I like how the command tower bridge looks and is fairly movie accurate despite its size. The ship rest nicely on a Technic support structure. Cannot wait to build the used 75055 I have next!
