That's some of the easiest money you could ever hope to make flipping Lego. Those people packs do very well, especially at 67% off. I wish my store had those. Nice score. I hope you bought them all.2 points

Summary: We did all this cool stuff that won't help you, but we're raising fulfillment fees by 3%. New sellers might get a brief break before getting the shaft. Happy Holidays!2 points

I think the answer to all of this is to "just go with it." Too much cannon and non-cannon history to play around with. I don't think every SW story needs the force. Too many rules. It reminds me of the New Yorker piece on George R.R. Martin a few years ago who quoted him saying he couldn't keep track of all the people he'd killed in his Song of Fire and Ice saga, so he had to have a super fan keep track for him. It's hard to argue the SW isn't at that level or so much more. One theme that I am seeing, and it kinda troubles me in fantasy and hard-scifi is a fear of time used on screen to show depth and development. We've seen this in the new SW films and in many of the later Marvel films--instant knowledge and ability with little to no training or learning. It's all part of the "clock" of current films, which is hilarious considering how long some of these films are to not pause and give a sense of growth. It's as if fans can't pause for a portion in a 3 1/2 hour long film to see it or it gets glossed over in a montage. Really felt it in the last couple of Alien films, too.2 points

This is what I'm dreading. I never felt there was, or needed to be, a romantic connection between these two.2 points

I think the "Yoda" species is just more in tune with the Force and they can use/manipulate it easier than other species. That is why I am ok with baby has that many force power at the "young" age @Mark Twain Speaking of seeing this species, in Kotor2, the leader of Jedi Council is also "Yoda like". He is tougher to kill than the final boss You get a chance to fight him if you take the Sith path2 points

Gina Carano upon reading her script for the episode: “ what do you mean baby Yoda is gonna force choke me?” Puts producer in arm bar. On a side note, we’re cool with the whole instant force powers of healing and levitating and force choking from a baby? I know that’s where the series basically headed with Rey, but a baby? Granted at 50, he’s one old ass baby, but it’s a bit much considering the whole years of training to be a Jedi or Sith. Qualms about the plot aside, the show is Still some of the finest SW storytelling we’ve seen since the OG trilogy.2 points

I really liked the movie. I thought they did a great job. The visuals and sound were really impressive. I look forward to seeing it again.2 points

I've been QFing these FBA for a few weeks off the GC promo. Buy-in is under $10, selling for $23+. 60% margin in 2 weeks. The trick is having stores that don't mind PMing arm-swipe quantities- and I have multiple. Thank God for 'infinite' supply. Long-term, I've socked away a few cases. Available for less than a year, 50% off buy-in, and any set that sells for over RRP 8 months after release I have to pay attention to. It's worth a dice roll to me.2 points

On that related note, I just got an email about new FBA fees for 2020. I am too busy at work to read more into it though1 point

They don't research anything. Your FNSKU labels were fine. They simply did not scan your items in at a checkpoint. Your items will be found eventually (a few weeks up to a few years). Once found they will reverse any reimbursement you get. They always find them.....eventually.1 point

Yeah this is murdering me right now. To say I'm angry is an understatement. I better get reimbursed for this.1 point

If you get sale prices, then you're better off than we are. Our end caps get filled with stuff priced at MSRP. I'm not sure which is worse, that the Targets do this or that people still buy it at those prices. *sigh* *facepalm*1 point

I did see that episode, once, and completely forgot about it. I’m not well versed in TCW, so thanks. Oh well, so much for that theory!1 point

I was thinking there were five whills, then I found this from the Clone Wars:1 point
-
I liked it, tied things off. There were force issues, but almost all the movies from the beginning did things with it the others didn't. Overall, I think they did a great job, minus two chicks kissing at the end. Dumb Hollywood can't help it.1 point
-
Interesting theory, except that doesn't really match up with the last episodes of the Clone Wars where Yoda goes on his own personal quest to discover the secrets of the force. I think he meets the Whills during that quest. One thought I had was, maybe this "kid" is actually more mature than we think (50+ years old) and is sort of "playing dumb" like Yoda did the first time he met Luke. But that wouldn't be near as much fun as baby Yoda.1 point

I’d rather send in a bunch of smaller sets FBA, that are not likely to get returned, easy to pack a bunch in 1 box, and let the money flow in. Just my opinion and it works for me.1 point

It's good to see the different perspectives on this and I find both sides understandable. Being a seasoned online seller yet new to the LEGO game itself, I am seeing these smaller sets more through the lens of an item that is super easy to list and package for shipment, as well as pretty cheap to ship. So from a time perspective, even if I break even I wont have to sweat it too much. High side being I make a little profit when the time is right. I haven't bought a whole ton of them, but I have peppered them throughout my purchases here and there. But I am completely opened to criticism here. It wouldn't be the first time I've dove into a new line of product and made a few mistakes along the way.1 point

Maybe the seller has inventory at Amazon's warehouse and is using Amazon's multi-channel fulfillment.1 point

It is a battlepack. Stay away from these goddamn sets. Especially at 40% off. I don't see why people don't just buy medium/big sets 50% off. Instead you guys try to struggle with $20 Star Wars battlepacks at 40% off. Ugh. But each to their own.1 point

Set it up so it will automatically open non paying bidder case after 4 days. They have 3 days to respond (I think, it has been a while), but once the deadline passes you can ask eBay to close the case and return the listing fees back to your account. Then you can move on to the next higher bidder. This is the (official eBay) way1 point

I mean he took off his goggles before he fell down, how bad could that be? (He had them on when riding swiftly, but those were back on his forehead when he was on the ground) First time I saw Deathtroopers earning their names1 point

The old man and I at the Packer / Bear game yesterday. Since Shopko is dead and we can't sling Friends sets out of my trunk in their parking lot anymore, we've resorted to dealing before and after Packer games while tailgating at Lambeau Field. Pro tip...save your duds for after the game. It's amazing what people buy when they're drunk. So long Worriz Fire Bikes & Angry Birds, hello profit! By the way...da Bears still suck. GPG!1 point

I agree with Carini's statements. I expected the 41187/41193 to be low 90s by this upcoming weekend. I expected 41323 to be low 70/80's. I think the most disappointing performance to me has been on nearly every small set: notably both small elves sets, the creator robot(31062), and the technic helicopter. These ended up being slightly profitable with a good buy in. But nothing to write home about. Most other small sets were mostly garbage *Incredibles.. not so much* I took an unfortunately timed vacation and got put pretty far behind on shipping stuff out this year and got about 60% of my stock out. Missing most of my elves sets as well as others. I know mathematically its more efficient to sell out every year and keep the cycle going but I'm starting to think a two year cycle of sales may be better for me. I work alone and personally would rather purchase less. Hold for slightly longer and see better margins.1 point

Watched an item on eBay for months entitled "3 Star Wars Legos Sets With Mixed Pieces (Some Pieces May Be Missing) ". Listing contained 75059 Sandcrawler, 75060 Slave I, and 75095 Tie Fighter. Listing started at close to $500 and slowly dropped. Listing dropped for over two months and eventually was sitting there at $185+$35 shipping. eBay sent out that "we screwed up sending you that better coupon, so here's one not as good" for 10% off, so I figured I would finally message the seller. Seller says she knew nothing about Lego or Star Wars. I explained to her what a minifigure was and if she could pull them all out of the box and take a picture of them. Turns out, every figure was there, plus a few extra. So I asked her to change the price from $185+$35 shipping, to $220 with free shipping so I could maximize the coupon. I ended up paying $213.20 after tax, plus $22 in eBay bucks back. I broke down and inventoried everything over the last couple days, and all 3 UCS sets were complete. It also included a complete (less minifigures) Ecto 1 and a Snowspeeder Microfighter.1 point

This is definitely the dumbest fight in quite a while. I wonder how awesome it must feel to be able to proudly state that you schooled everyone on the definition of RRP. I couldn't agree more. Let's discuss a much more pressing matter...whether or not to use rewards points during double VIP. It's been awhile since we've debated that.1 point
