  1. Yup. You make a purchase like that once, realize what you're supporting, and then recognize and avoid those listings going forward.

  2. Welcome. The key to making money around here is buying the right sets...at the right price. You should never pay full retail price.

  14. I keep the 3 I bought two years ago at the front of my storage so I can get to them quickly when the inevitable rush comes. Also, they serve as sentinel reminder to stay in my lane.

  20. I also dismantle the winter village buildings by section each year, and store them in the small white gift boxes (https://www.target.com/p/2ct-china-gift-box-white-wondershop-8482/-/A-54632670) that Target clearances out at 90% off each year. This slipper box size is good for minifigs and polybags, too. For storing modulars, I find the large flip-top decorative type of storage boxes are just the right size https://www.michaels.com/large-christmas-cabin-deep-tab-paper-box-by-ashland/10602036.html so that the buildings don't need to be dismantled too much for storage. Michael's coupon magic can often get these down to below $5 each.

  24. My last qty 99 purchases were for quite a few orders of 4515 back in 2008 for just over $4/set. I sold the last ones for $85 on Amazon in 2013. Haven't been able to figure out how to replicate that margin... ?

  30. I’m not a fan either. I like the Ghost Train much better. Something about this train just does not appeal to me.

  31. Guys, how do you like the train from Hidden Side? I like Hidden Side sets overall and have bought key sets from the theme. But the train doesn't appeal to me. It's simple, dark and the cabins are very short... Now it's available for £42 in GB, but I still doubt...

  33. Agree. For example quick flipping is an option. I bought all the saturn v's I could the day they came out buying them at rrp and selling them for $230-240 a piece on ebay.

  34. Not that it matters to many of y'all, but those who are still gated might be interested to know that it appears Amazon has removed the CPC requirement to get ungated on subcategory toys. That, or my meager FBM sales have finally magically removed that barrier for me. I've checked with five brands, including LEGO. Was there two weeks ago. Weird timing, no? To be clear, this is just the CPC requirement. new sellers still have to have brand and category approval. Though, I'm getting automatically approved on more and more brands.
