I had to do a double-take, that looks like a severed head in an aquarium...
  2. This time of year that would be: Sales Rank 1000 - 95/day Sales Rank 5000 - 39/day Sales Rank 20,000 - 12/day Sales Rank 50,000 - 4/day

Tokyo & Dubai Skylines will be released on January 1, 2020. I'm pleased to share the first in-depth review of the Dubai set on my Brick Architect website. It's a better set than I had expected, mostly due to the absolutely fantastic rendition of the curvaceous sail-shaped Burj Al Arab, in the High-Tech Architectural style. ʀᴇᴠɪᴇᴡ: #21052 Dubai Skyline As you will see, the other three buildings in the model aren't quite as good, but the overall effect is effective. I hope you enjoy the review, and please let me know if you have any questions I can answer! LINK: https://brickarchitect.com/2019/review-21052-lego-dubai-skyline/ Sincerely, ---tom
  6. My local store had so many minis left over that they gave me one today as an extra gift....very nice of them.

It looks like an expensive 3 in 1 set.
  8. The process I have used to get around the errors was to go to my lego.com profile page (https://identity.lego.com/en-US/profile) in a separate tab and forcibly logout. then go back to SAH in the other tab, reload the page so it knows i'm logged out, and add the stuff to the cart without being logged in. Then checkout as normal and log back in to complete the transaction. Rinse and repeat if doing multiple orders.

bogus bricks did steal, but they gave the people what they wanted when they jacked this from an afol years back. I agree with @crayxlp where it looks better than the corner garage, but so does your exgirlfriend in the morning. The bookstore facade is rather nice, but its so tiny that it gives the feel of a creator 3-1. They could have expanded on the 'Birch Book' store and left out the very uncommon color small flat. just my 2 cents.
  10. Watched an item on eBay for months entitled "3 Star Wars Legos Sets With Mixed Pieces (Some Pieces May Be Missing) ". Listing contained 75059 Sandcrawler, 75060 Slave I, and 75095 Tie Fighter. Listing started at close to $500 and slowly dropped. Listing dropped for over two months and eventually was sitting there at $185+$35 shipping. eBay sent out that "we screwed up sending you that better coupon, so here's one not as good" for 10% off, so I figured I would finally message the seller. Seller says she knew nothing about Lego or Star Wars. I explained to her what a minifigure was and if she could pull them all out of the box and take a picture of them. Turns out, every figure was there, plus a few extra. So I asked her to change the price from $185+$35 shipping, to $220 with free shipping so I could maximize the coupon. I ended up paying $213.20 after tax, plus $22 in eBay bucks back. I broke down and inventoried everything over the last couple days, and all 3 UCS sets were complete. It also included a complete (less minifigures) Ecto 1 and a Snowspeeder Microfighter.

Worth the trip to Lego store. Looks of amazement from kids.

To clarify: I also wanted a single big open building like the bank or Emporium. I was just trying to find positives in what was presented.
  14. I concur. Always love a good "high ground" reference.
  15. Went by my Lego store this morning. They has a mountain of these with more in the back. They expect them to last longer than the tree. They did have the big gingerbread in stock but they were going fast, 4 sold while I was there. Mini bat still there too, they will give both that and the ginger with 1989 batmobile.

Lego: I’m not mad I’m disappointed. I was hoping for an Emporium-type full bookstore with a coffee shop, escalator, etc. my critique of Emporium is that it is bare besides the escalators, those are really the main attraction. Thought they could fix that problem with this one. Bunch of books, book signing table. I hate the half-ones like PS. The double walls decrease an already small amount of space. Should have fully committed to the bookstore. Unlike Diner, AS and CG, where I was an early buyer, this will be a wait for sale type thing, which I think will be the case for many

What I dislike is the ever increasing price of these sets. that is no more than a 150 set, just like before.
  18. now you can check store inventory with 2 options in stock and out of stock in any LEGO stores just type city name
  19. Thank you for this! Found a Ninjago docks in stock locally at 20% off. Another $50 off brought it down to $165 which is 41% off. Not bad at all. Should be a fun build.

You know where you stand when you can't replicate with single promos. Looks nice though.
  21. Off to the lego store....
  22. Not just gross, but totally inadequate. I can not imagine that the rear door (not level with a ground) and from i see cca at least 3 feet above ground would not have any kind of a small porch to avoid injuries, falls etc.. there is also no light on the wall, no railing, stairs are pretty steep.. totally wreck.

I should have guessed. I don't understand what happens at that facility and why they can't fix it. I'm surprised they don't have cameras recording every shipment receiving yet.
  24. Guest
They usually find it eventually. I've had this happen In November/December and then in February or March I start seeing stuff sell that they had previously lost from a shipment. The Baltimore BWI warehouse has always been the worst and i'm so happy they don't ask me to send much there anymore. If you check your box contents, you'll sometimes find that everything they lost was in one or two specific boxes.
  25. In the process of building my gingerbread house....

I got one like this too but tree was pancaked. Will build that one. That Ninjago city box is huge. Was happy to get it double boxed like that.

    This is the Emazers policy
  28. Used mine, and they were spectacular! They'll do a secondary charge back on sales tax later. Check your statement. It's dumb, don't ask me what they're doing.
  29. Sounds like we are entering into the "What is the most productive way to spend your VIP points" territory - Now those were some heated discussions.
  30. Looks like Shakespeare's collar if you ask me ... I'm leaning this direction https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=26066&idColor=2#T=S&C=2&O={"color":2,"iconly":0}
  31. I'm pretty ambivalent toward this, then I saw the back and thought "eww gross".
  32. Exactly my thoughts - the Emporium
  33. Sold my wife's copy of the 75192 UCS Falcon for $650 as the local listings were starting to get plentiful and I don't want to hold this forever since it's not retiring. A much worse return than the 2 hour hold, but still good enough for me. I don't have a fancy bot, but I did have two browser windows. One tabbed town to the right button, and the other with a mouse over it. Smashed "enter" with the left hand, and clicked with the right in succession.

I rather like it, but I'm 10+ years in on these now, so personal bias.
  35. HALF-life is 2 years. Mean lifetime is 4. However, the most important question will be: Will the bookstore take last place in popularity behind Pet Shop or slightly overtake it to finish second-last all-time?
  36. If you need filler, The Lego Movie 2 minifigures are 50% off $1.99 https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/the-lego-movie-2-71023
  37. Massive in count only, if you look I bet 300 of those are various little 1x1 pieces.
  38. Amazon sold the Saturn V last year for $79 on Black Friday. That's the lowest price I can recall for it. Not sure it will get that low again anywhere, but I would be willing to bet it goes lower than $102 sometime before the end of the year. Tomorrow when SaH offers the GWP would be a good time to get it too. A $20 Gingerbread house and $5 in VIP points brings the price down nicely.
  39. The article from BricksBrotha said it wasn't on until February.
