Bought a used Pirates theme lot off of Craigslist a couple months ago for $500 that I finally got around to building after cleaning the pieces and ordering missing pieces from Bricklink (only missing about $20 worth)... Time to sell them, but I really enjoyed building these. I bought a castle lot at the same time for $400 but I gotta say, the pirates were much cooler and more fun to build. Apparently some VIPs in the UK have received an invitation to a midnight release at the flagship store in London and many believe it will be the release of a Stranger Things set that has been rumored for a little while now. This event is happening May 15.

If it makes you feel better, I upvoted you. I'm down nearly 100 already today on an old account... and the day's still young. Most of the bums still haven't woke up yet, their moms aren't home from work yet to yell downstairs to the basement to get them up.

I've been having fun trolling reddit. Nothing like getting a bunch of cheapskates all worked up. The thought of having to pay for a quality product is terrifying to them. Update: The personal insults have started. The indication that the trolling his hit its mark.

I love the need for sympathy. They've been straight-up stealing IP from another company. If someone takes stuff out of my house and they are caught with said stuff, I am not going to be very sympathetic.

True. Maybe if "so-called LEGO fans" who buy these sets realize they are made in dirty and contaminated conditions, they will think twice about buying a toy that is possibly toxic.

LEGO just need to keep pulling the weeds wherever they pop up. This is a problem with manufacturing in China

When people ask me a ton of questions, I point to my feedback and tell them I would prefer they not buy it if there is any possible chance they won't be happy.

That just means somebody went in and persisted to get all of them, told them these are great to resell, or some other jerky behavior. Probably more than one jerky.

sadly Influencers...have become a thing...and here I was hoping that social media was going to be a fad....now I very much fear for my son's generation...read an article that about 50% of Millenials predict being millionaires by mid 30s ...yet financial studies show Millenials are about 30% short of wealth than previous generations. The simple fact that most folks only show off the "good stuff" is making our kids have a very distorted view of real life.

Had a used set listed BIN, no best offer, but of course I get somebody coming in at 30% off. I send them offer meeting them in the middle. I then get a bunch of questions. Prospective buyer: Is the set genuine Lego. Including the minifigs. Me: Yes. You can see Lego branding on the minifigs. Prospective buyer: Do you have the box? Me: No. Prospective buyer: You verified it is 100% complete? Me: I built it and ordered the missing pieces form Bricklink. I then took it apart in separate bags that match the instructions. Prospective buyer: Are the pieces from Bricklink genuine? Me: Yes. I should have blocked this guy at this point, but later that evening he bought the set and took until the next morning to pay for it and then sends this wonderful message. Buyer: I would like for you to kindly do me a favor and built this for me (^_^) and ship it in 1 complete piece inside big plastic bag and then tied it so when some pieces become loose they’ll stay inside the big bag(like clear trash bag maybe..lol) you can then put inside boxes with bubble wrap securely wraps around it inside boxes. I hope this possible, let me know thanks. Me: Unfortunately, I can't do this. The listing stated that is would ship disassembled and the reduced price did not factor in additional time to build or the additional cost to ship. I can cancel the transaction, just let me know. Buyer: It's ok, I'll have to build it myself. Please ship ASAP. Ugh. I should know better than to engage with buyers that have a ton of questions, but I've had some great transactions that started this way and they have lulled my defenses against buyers like this. Isn't the point of Lego to build the thing. I know others have received this request, but I didn't expect this after all the back and forth.

Not a whole lot of building going on yet, but my parents were clearing out the attic and so have reclaimed my childhood Lego. Searched through it last night and found I had all the big castle panels for 6080, so that's going to be the next build. My kids loved the horses and knights.

Here are the Classic Space men, if you click into the minifigs, you can check from which sets they came from. One notable thing about the helmets.
