OfferUp, lady is selling a 70620 Ninjago City, posted about 15 hours ago. Tag on the ad says selling for $250, description says $240. A bit high for me, so I send a note saying if she doesn't get a buyer that that price, I'll throw down a standing offer of $200. Not long after, she messages to accept the $200 offer - I was surprised, figured she'd wait a few days on $240. Get to talking about where to meet up, we agree on 230pm today. Then she says "I have two of these by the way." Ooooohhh, OK, I see now - a red flag that is. Look closer at the photo, it's in the back of a car, you can see the 2nd one behind it, and also a third large set but cannot see the set number. So I ask her how she got two and now selling them so cheap. She says her sister bought them for her kids, can't find the receipt to return them, now her sisters car is broke down, needs the money to fix it, and she's stuck in Minneapolis with 5 kids until she can fix the car. OK I tell her, but too many red flags for me, I'm deciding not to buy. Her: "you have a lot of Lego sets for sale on your OfferUp also." Me: "yes, I run a side business of buying and selling, and I have receipts for all 250+ Lego sets I own." Her: "well I don't appreciate you judging me and my sister." Me: "Fair enough, but I'm not buying this today. Good luck" I'm actually building Ninjago City with my kids right now, and it's AWESOME. I'd love to have 2 of these on the shelf at 33% off, but can't support their lifestyle. I'm betting if I called the Lego Store at Mall of America, they'd be two short in the last few days. I think that's the only store in Minneapolis that would carry this set. She now has it listed as "Sold" and I reported it as "I think it's stolen." Also, during this process, for whatever reason, she changed her profile picture in OfferUp. It went from a "trashy tatted girl" theme to a "trashy tatted girl with infant" theme. Be careful (and ethical) out there.

I had the pleasure of building an intricate LEGO Ideas model of Machu Picchu, built in the style of the official LEGO Architecture sets. The model was designed by Diego Baca, a proud Peruvian who wanted to help LEGO enthusiasts learn more about the globally recognized UNESCO World Heritage site. Not only did Diego build the model both digitally and using LEGO bricks, he also created a beautiful instruction manual in the style of official LEGO Architecture sets, and a matching glossy box. I had a lot of fun building the model using the easy-to-follow directions. The completed model is immediately recognizable, and looks great next to the official sets, especially the recent Great Wall set which also features historic architecture in a mountainous landscape. Target's got that screwed up in their inventory system. I went last week to get the Cherry Pickers with that DPCI and all they found when they scanned the packages was the Naboo Starfighter.

Also found a new (to me) poly at Walmart, 30363 City theme Race Boat. If you're looking for polybags at Walmart, check the Easter section that may not be near the toys, there are a bunch of Easter toys and Lego has a display stand with Minecraft, Tulips, Star Wars, City, Friends, Ninjago small sets.

Found the 30461 Podracer polybag at Target today on an endcap with all the 20th Anniversary Star Wars sets. All the previous Targets I have visited only had the Snowspeeder and Naboo Starfighter polys, must have been waiting for an April 1 set date. If you set it up correctly (using the GSP), yes - it would be shipped by you to a local location (who will ship it to them). If you didn't set it up correctly - well, at least shipping to Canada isn't that bad.

Thank you from long time SPSMOM - my daughter graduated last year and is doing well in her classes in High School and my son is currently in 6th grade at St. Paul School with great grades and long time friends. Can't wait to see this year's prizes - maybe I'll finally win?????

My account has never been flagged on jet.com. They seem to have loose policies. I started ordering sets of four on Friday & already have 40 so far. Their shopping cart is back to a limit of 4 sets. Picked up another 50 units or so. I'm done buying for a few weeks at least.

Posting watermarked prelim photos runs the risk of being loaded into the back of a black SUV and never being seen again.

If you’re listing obo but can’t factor in a 5% loss over listing price....why are you bothering with obo? Not specifically directed at you but to anyone in general. If I list an item as Or Best Offer, I’ve already calculated and accepted the sale at 15% less than my asking price. Makes it simple when those -5% offers come in. Accepted.

Buyer's remorse kicked in... I'm experiencing that now w/ an offer I made and now the counteroffer difference is $4 on a $50-ish set....but I'm realizing that I didn't "really" want the set even at the reduced price...or at least I want another set more. I haven't been at it long...but I figured out that if I decline a "reasonable offer (within 5%)" they usually don't come back. I recognize the potential for insult.

4 more days and mods can change the title of this thread to April Fools 2019.
