Some additional info regarding packaging. @Admin Would you please provide more information on the packaging of these sets. Are they to be packed in sturdy cardboard boxes? Will they be illustrated and in color? Yes, they will be packed in sturdy cardboard. The exact nature of the boxes is not known yet, but they will be illustrated and identified by color photos and printing. These will not be "brown box basics", but will be something a collector would be proud to own. How will the parts be packed inside? All in one bag or several? We are separating parts by stage (sets have up to five stages) and the bags will be numbered by stage. Bags with small parts will be stored inside bags with large parts. Parts are separated into bags with the building process in mind. To give you an idea of scope, the Wild West Saloon is tentatively slated to be split into 16 different bags, with 2 stages. How will you ensure that the correct parts are included? Every bag will have an inventory, and every bag will be checked by weight and some other means before being sealed. Is LEGO doing the packing? No, we are doing it all in California. I can’t imagine they are all being hand picked! Yes, they will be packed very carefully by hand. There will be a few machines involved (a bag sealer, for example) but it will be largely manual labor. The setup costs for a mechanized run are out of our range. Lastly what form will the instructions be? A print out on copy paper or more like LEGO instructions? They will be professionally printed in four different sizes depending on the size of the set.

I sold several of them over Christmas. 31040 was pretty great when I had a stash of them too.

I had no problem shipping to the forwarding address so far, but I always used FedEx for the carrier so I can get signature by default for the service I chose.

Sold a set of four Lego Movie 2 Brickheadz today on eBay for $208 shipped. Listed them this morning and sold in two hours to one of those export guys. Guess I listed it too low. Doh! Edit: Just noticed he's a zero feedback export guy but his shipping address is confirmed so I'm covered if I ship there.

Have that same tool from Uline.ca = Useless... it's basically just a pinking wheel on a stick. Soo much faster & easier to use a boxblade to cut the 4 corners up from your chosen depth and simply fold the sides over the edge of the table.

These are not amazon friendly products. eBay is much better suited for the stuff that’s individually numbered.

This just seems like a slightly more advanced version of the Fusion line, but instead of taking a picture and playing the game without any more Lego, you need to keep the model around to keep using the app. I don't believe Fusion was very popular, you can't download the apps anymore, but this may fair a little better as they are complete sets that look interesting.

Knee jerk reaction: Are Mechs starting to become the new helicopter? like,"I've run out of ideas...I'll build a mech!" Just an opinion. It may very well sell fine.

The reason I'm at a quagmire is because on the one hand it's 4X QFLL, on the other hand it's 5000 limited (WITH STICKERS! STICKERS!). Then back to the other hand thinking it's on the upswing due to the movie so shoot for QFLL, then back to the other side when you realize there's definitely a Lego Move 3. Then back again realizing that by Lego Movie 3 they may remake these brickheadz in a different form and cannibalizing the value of these sets, especially if they also become limited...but then again it's 5000 with stickers...STICKERS! Not to mention the wife wants to sell because "stop holding our money hostage in Legos"...Thus, the quagmire... Personally, I want to keep them, because even though I know it's a cheap psychological gimmick, but hot damn those limited stickers sure are shiny...

My point being that most of the things they show in stock at the store level is phantom inventory. Hence the reason everything is being canceled for store pickup (minus a few of the really cheap sets no one wants) There was nothing new listed at any of the stores within 300 miles of me from when they were 50% off. I placed pickup orders at several stores then, and it was all canceled. I appreciate any posts in this thread, just letting you know it probably wasn't going to pan out.

If you're referring to my post about B&N, no, it's new stuff that was showing on sale, different than what was there a month ago - I've been keeping an eye on it. Did you see Harry Potter BH at 75% off a month ago? I didn't; it was new. As you can see from other posts, SOME people appreciated my heads-up.

I sold a set of the 41634 & 41635 Emmett & Wyldstyle for $110. I could've held out for more money but with the rate prices are dropping on eBay, I'll take a profit margin of 190% buy-in price. I shipped it out to what looks like a drop shipper in Oregon who didn't bat an eye at the price at all. So that's a good sign. Buy-in was about $30 for them both. At this point in the game, you grab your money and go. Time to spend it on more important things...like more LEGO sets...or you know, preparing for Valentine's Day.

Always worth taking the all ready reduced stuff to the self checkout and check the prices. Asda seem to reduce further without marking them on the shelf.

My thoughts too. So many pi**ed off people if this is America only. I've already sent a complaint/query to lego and got back 'we don't have the release dates for europe yet'. So fingers crossed on the 'yet' part ??

I’m a collector and I buy so much more on eBay than amazon. Amazon is full of fakes and cheap Chinese junk. So is eBay but that’s what filters are for. Anyways, you’re right. Rich old people are lazy when they’re not working and don’t mind paying a 40% markup for one click purchases. Man I’ve gotten some amazing deals on eBay but you do have to be persistent and work for these deals. I still can’t believe how hard it is to navigate their site. It was designed in 1997 and got stuck there lol.
