President Trump, after learning of the LEGO Great Wall of China, changes his plan and begins construction on the “Make America Great Wall of America” between the US and Mexico...but abandons it after realizing it will cost more than traditional building materials. Unwilling to admit defeat, he builds 50 feet out of Chinese bogus bricks and it falls apart immediately. Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker Forum mobile app7 points

Thanks! I just brick-built it and made changes as I progress. So unfortunately no digital files. I'd love to see your creation though! Here's a overhead view and a close-up of the inner courtyard: The layout is based on a cross section art work of Helm's Deep made by a WETA artist. I put an armory in the basement below the inner courtyard (accessible through entrance next to stairs in the inner courtyard), a stable in the lower entrance, and a private dining area on the second floor of the great hall. See here for more detail: https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/169563-moc-lotr-helms-deep/ Since I got in the game late, 9471 is worth stupid money now so I only got one. Other than the original figures from 9471 and 9474, the rest are custom figures from eBay (not sure if this is hugely frowned upon in these boards or not......).3 points

"Is that you, Mr. President?" More like Ms. Speaker... Can't we all just agree that our politicians have zero care for the average person; and are more interested in maintaining their hardened party lines than making any real changes to help the country? Here is the only person worth voting for in 20203 points

A $10 "battle pack" based on the original space theme?! Four figures, with one being a new color?! Two vehicles and a classic space robot?! Sign me up! With the new Lego Movie 2 sets beginning to hit the shelves over the past couple of weeks, one thing I've noticed is that I've only seen this particular set at Target. I've come across all of the other new sets from this theme at Wal-Mart, Meijer, and in my local Shopko stores, but none of them have had this set. Only Target. Checking Brickset, it's not listed as a retail exclusive. A quick Walmart inventory search on br******k shows it as "out of stock" in every store, while searching Target it is in stock at every single one of them. Was Target granted early access to this set before other retailers? Is it truly a store exclusive? Can anyone provide some inside information on this? Whatever the case, this set is sure to be popular due to the nostalgia, price point, and value. I've picked up a few from my two local Target stores just to be safe. Once the movie hits theaters and people start looking for the sets this one should be in high demand. I'm debating on stockpiling a few more but there surely will be a flood of these hitting other stores at some point, right? Right?! SPACESHIP!!!2 points

Jeff Bezos will buy Lego and make it Amazon’s official toy brand, only available online or in Whole Foods. Third party sellers revolt, beginning a prolonged insurgency from their strongholds in rural Dollar Generals. The war ends when Bezos receives gov. Approval to weaponize delivery drones and Alexia becomes Skynet. Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker Forum mobile app2 points

Just popped into Leicester sq for the designer signing. 6 people in the queue with 30 mins to go. Of which two are trying to get designer to sign the Hogwarts castle set. Worst turnout ever. People obviously staying away because of price and interesting to see what the signed sets will go for. Could potentially go sky high due to lack of numbers compared to other sets. I just picked up a couple of Dragon Guy BH’s which are flying off the shelves2 points

This is what could be considered as a Classic Space minifigure pack for the modern generation. Now if there was a blue edition of the non-cracked chinstrap helmet it would be perfect in that regard and also a red spaceman to round out the troop. Pish posh. Mail-order pigeons suit me just fine, good sir.1 point

Hi everyone! I'm a 26 years old, Autistic female, and from the UK. I recently discovered an interest in Lego I never did any as a kid and am a complete beginner.I have an interest in Animals so out of curiousity for Lego ,bought the Year Of the Dog Lego to start within the Lego UK store sale as the first one I built and found it very relaxing. So far picked up small sets to start with(as my coordination ain't the best) so far bought :Year Of the Rooster set , from the Star Wars and Jurassic World sets, and two of the animal based creator lines. Other than the Year Of The Dog so far have done the Angler Fish,Shark and Squid from the Creators Deep Sea Creatures set with the Squid being done today.1 point

I appreciate that advice. This guy is the first I've ever added to my banned list. I actually had to look up how to do it. Like someone else said, you can't reason with crazy. The really weird thing is, he tried to retaliate by giving me positive feedback. He tried to cram his crazy accusation into the 80 char line. But in the end, it's still pos feedback. lol... *facepalm*1 point

Funny Kmart story... I was in Big Bear this weekend, and passed a Kmart. I had no idea they had one. I got excited. Figured there's gotta be good stuff there, and it would probably be shutting down soon. Ran through the store, and nothing. Nothing on clearance. Nothing good to pick up. Got back to the car and discovered that the Big Bear store is one of the most profitable in the entire chain. (Makes sense - there's no Walmart or Target easy to get to).1 point

Probably! There's definitely some people up here, someone sniped a stack of £12 Ant-Mans from my home store one time, and I've had a stare down over a shelf of £1 chicken minifigures 33 of anything in store is mental to me, I don't think there's a store anywhere near here that carries a decent quantity of anything.1 point

This time I am the fruitcake ... on Amazon FBA. Sold a DUPLO 10567 Toddler Build and Boat Fun two (2!) times this Christmas, same set. Both sales came back as a return, the first time I was able to immediately relist and sell, the second one came back as Unfulfillable. Just received the set back from FBA in exactly the same condition as I sent it in. So I started wondering why this got returned twice. Turns out the "Clearance - was $19.99 now $11.19" sticker was still on the box. D'oh! I guess my customers who bought this for $45 didn't like seeing that sticker In my defense ... the sticker was barely contrasting with the printing on the box ... but still, epic failcake.1 point

Update if anyone cares: I convinced the buyer to cancel the "return". Then I learned the eBay system does not allow transaction cancellations on items for which a "case has been closed". So we fell into the ingenious design vortex of craptastic automation where I could not ship (with seller protection) the item, nor could either of us (or customer service) cancel the sale. After about an hour on the phone with two reps, I finally accepted the only resolution was to refund the buyer directly through Paypal, with personal assurance from a very reasonable sounding guy in "Trust and Safety" at eBay, that my eBay fees would be refunded as well, he would personally monitor the situation to make sure that occurs as well as erase any defects that might pop up on my account (especially since the transaction is now forever stuck in limbo, with "late shipment" status). I told him I accepted that course of action but that I wanted the situation escalated so that eBay can fix this terrible design. To allow an idiot to mash buttons and cause a Top-Rated / Power Seller (or anyone, for that matter) this much damn trouble AND not be able to resolve it for me is completely unacceptable. He agreed wholeheartedly, and I personally expect that sometime after 2030, eBay will in fact eliminate this possibility from ever happening again. Meanwhile this fool has the honor to be the only buyer I've ever blocked in 7 years of selling, and I am now contemplating requiring some feedback from all buyers, like most of you scaredy-cats already do, lol1 point

I am 40. I was a Lego fan when I was a kid, with King's Castle being my pride and joy. My 3 year old has recently gotten into Duplos, and I was able to get my wife and Mom to go in together to get me the Ghostbusters' Firehouse on black Friday for my Christmas present. I started working some concepts in Google SketchUp, and then moved to Lego Digital Designer. I estimate total design time was about 50 hours. I wanted to generally match the design and proportions of the lighthouse in the cartoon, and yet keep it minifigure scale. About 50 hours of design, just under 2000 pc, and just finished. I hope you like it.1 point
