Moved about 10 miles away in the same town. Today, I swung by my house during lunch to finish up a shipment and grab the 40 boxes scheduled for delivery. As I'm loading my truck... THE SAME UPS GUY PULLS UP ?? He doesn't say anything to me (like usual after the incident). So I broke the ice by saying, "Are you stalking me?" His dead pan face immediately turned into one of rage.

All of have likely had to deal with fruitcakes, etc. on the various selling platforms we use and it can be real pain. On the other side equation, it always great when someone appreciates what we do and lets us know. In some way, we are Santa. What does it actually weigh? If it's 14 and you only paid for 11 then I wouldn't do it. They may not catch it, but if they do they will charge the addressee the difference before they deliver the package. That could lead to negative feedback if it's an Amazon or eBay sale. I'm not sure what the tolerance is for the USPS weight discrepancies on packages.

Look, I had a Lego account for 10 yrs back in the days when you could order whatever you want, "No Lego Exclusives" but ordering 50 Batcaves, Harry Potter castles, Indiana Jones, The Big Star wars sets, for a while they shipped them free, they were calling me what do you want to order now, order anything you want, $120 set lego let you make $30 but $10 a box for shipping, then in 2012 they changed there policy, you need a store fron, 75% of there themes you had to order, and all the sets, so I was done with them along with 1000's of other guys that were doing what I was doing, getting the cream of the crop sets. Look you can get most sets on sale belo what they want, and if you order a case of Jurassic Estates and the box was crushed, Lego would have UPS and they would send you new ones, now if you want new sets, you have to ship them back and they charge a restocking fee. "My Advice is don't try and get a Lego Wholesale Account" you will regret it. Ed

There are whisperings of a 3 for 2 coming in 2 weeks but without direct who cares really. They have advent calendars on stacks with a reduced to clear sign, the reduction? 10% off, like seriously are you even trying anymore.

For the three of you on here who aren't banned by Walmart, you may want to make a trip into the Pick-Up area of your local store. Mine had a stack of 10% off coupons with individualized codes for online orders.

My money is on another platform coming along to compete with Amazon. It will take a long time but it will happen. If places like, for example, Bricklink ADVERTISED anywhere, it would help cut that deficit little by little. Maybe BL does advertise, but I can't remember the last time I ever saw anything that pointed me their way other than simply stumbling onto the website one random day. Before I get hammered for, there is WM and other retailers competing. Duh I know that. I'm talking about a very large company, like the one that dominates the Non-USA countries overseas (can't remember the name of it, ALi-baba maybe?) coming over to USA someday and being a direct face-off competitor.

To be honest, I can't even remember what I ordered. My RING doorbell was doing "Jingle Bells" all morning though.

I learned a few years ago ( on this forum) that packages magically start moving again as soon as you sign up for text/email alerts for the package in question. Worked like a charm again 2 weeks ago when a LEGO Shop at Home package inexplicably got stuck in the same status as you mentioned above. Just go to the tracking page and look on the right hand side of the screen for notification options. I typically select them all.

Today I tried something different and set up a Lego booth at a local indoor flea market that is held three times per year. I advertised on local Facebook buy/sell groups for about a month leading up to the sale. It seemed to drum up a lot of interest since many people told me that my booth was the only reason they came to the sale. I choose this particular date since it’s right before the holiday shopping season and advertised it as such. Pros...the sale was located less than a mile from my home, so very minimal transportation issues. Lots of traffic and networking opportunities. I had some business cards printed up and handed them out. Cons...lots of prep, from pricing research to literally pricing everything, boxing everything up for transport, set up, and take down. Also, the sale only ran for six hours, from 8am-2pm. Would have been nice to go to at least 4pm. My goal was to focus on small stocking stuffers to medium sets that are priced well for gifting, and it seemed to work. I brought a few large exclusives, but mainly just to draw attention to the booth. I priced my retired sets about 20-35% below eBay sold prices, and my non retired sets below regular retail, while still maintaining an acceptable margin. Surprisingly, I didn’t have many people trying to negotiate, as many realized my pricing was more than fair. I was a little worried about that since it was a flea market / garage sale type environment. In six hours I did just over $900 in sales, mostly the small to medium sized sets I was hoping to move. All in all it was a pretty decent experience, which I will most likely try again in the future. The next sale is in January, which I’ll skip. The following sale after that is in March, which should be a decent opportunity since people will be getting their tax returns and will have some extra cash to spend.

That list was done like that to make it easier to check those numbers to see if you can list, but I guess you missed that with the passive aggressive poor memory game.

I liked Solo, thought it was one of the more fun Star Wars movies. Worth seeing.

March 30, 2018. This is a date that will forever be remembered. I can get a little emotional at times. As an adult, there are a few instances when I've shed a tear. I cried when my son was born. I cried again a year later when my daughter was born. I cried tears of joy when my beloved Green Bay Packers won Super Bowl 31 after three decades of mediocrity, and again when they won Super Bowl 45. The last time I cried was two years ago this April when my Mom passed away. March 30, 2018. Today is another day that I've sobbed like a baby. Upon waking up for work, I checked my phone like I always do. Waiting for me was a PayPal notification. A large one. I checked my Bricklink account, and it appears that some blessed soul has decided that they needed some Steam Rollers in their life. Yes, some Steam Rollers. All of them. 27 to be exact. Gone. Purchased by an unknown person. A risk taker. A gambler. A guardian angel, perhaps? I began this saga with over 50 of those Steam Rollers. I'd sell one here, one there through multiple platforms, slowly chipping away at that number. I whittled it down to 27. Now I have 0. They are gone. The purchase price was just a shade over $1k. I'll make a few bucks on each one after the usual fees and shipping, but that's not the point in this circumstance. The nightmare is finally over. March 30, 2018 is my Independance Day.
