It's so weird that Rapunzel's Tower is getting smaller and smaller every year.
  3. Check your local Walmart inventory, just picked up 100 copies of 10704 @ $12, marked down from $15 (I know retail was supposed to be $20, but some stores started lower). Walmart online cancelled every one of my conservative orders (less than 10 per set) since early last week so I had to go old school and load up the minivan. BTW, I left 137 since I didn't want to be the Grinch who ruined Christmas for all the kids in this rural area.

It's like the old joke...I asked my wife what she wanted for Christmas, she said a divorce, I told her I didn't want to spend that much.

  8. Had a customer complain that I invoiced too quickly and they didn't think it was real. (I waited 2 days before inquiring on status of payment) Yep, not sure how I can improve here. One for the story book. I'll chalk that one up as "my bad"

To be honest, I can't even remember what I ordered. My RING doorbell was doing "Jingle Bells" all morning though.
  10. All advent calendars $16, including SW! Whip out those discounted gift cards! Amazon also has SW for $16 but prime members only.
  11. I remember showing my son the price for NASDAQ:COKE this summer: $130. I showed him a quick graph and did a valuation on the spot but didn't pull the trigger. Five months later it's at $210. I'm not sure what lesson I taught him, if any.

Clearly he didn't read the prior post about blotting instead of wiping.
  13. Hawaii buyer selected parcel select ground. Fortunately, USPS Priority Shipping costs less, anyway.
  14. Well, that one seems like it's a year late.

Where do you think all the Costco brick boxes in So Cal went?
  16. Call me crazy, but we are actually going to part them out, a total of 126 sets with 116k in parts. Here's hoping for some snow days for the kiddos....

I would pay them delay shipments at this point. Cheaper than the quote from the divorce lawyer this week.
  18. Did someone say "get rich quick"? Sign me up.

  22. If market timing was that easy, everyone would be millionaires. It's not, and anyone pretending they are good at it is full of crap.
  23. It's that easy......? How about this: If you bought 100 shares of Netflix in June-July of this year, you'd be down a minimum of $5,000 right now.
  24. It looked pretty awesome in Jang;s display:
  25. Strange set. I kinda like it, but I don't think it displays well. Might be a sleeper because of lack of interest, but then again, if people don't care now, why will they care about it in two years?
  26. Phil B's post is accurate. I've had a few packages get stuck in transit and as soon as I request text alerts/updates it magically begins moving again after a day or so, eventually making its way to its destination.

My condolences to those that went deep on Joker Manor. I did not realize how massive that box was. Wow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  30. 80101 and 80102 to be available @ lego.com.au? If true how long do ya reckon it'll last? My vote 5 minutes. https://ramblingbrick.com/2018/11/29/region-exclusive-chinese-new-year-sets-will-be-available-in-australia-new-zealand-news-80101-80102/
  31. There was no plastic when you were a kid either!
  32. Crazy how the days leading up to Thanksgiving into the weekend and Monday (some Tuesday) were hopping with discounts all over. Looking now, you would think nothing happened at all and 5-10% off was a deal. Glad I didn't hesitate to buy this year, although there was probably another $1-5k that I could have spent easily but backed off under fear of being cancelled by WM or banned by my wife. I am definitely paying my credit card in multiple payments this month to mask the one single large payment approach. Helps though that for me being a small player, still got nearly 30 orders out the door at the same time I was loading back up but now wish I would have bought more in the past to continue the sales. Fun stuff and I love that this replaces my gambling habits.
  33. I've never subscribed to this thread. That eliminates the email management issue.
  34. I learned a few years ago ( on this forum) that packages magically start moving again as soon as you sign up for text/email alerts for the package in question. Worked like a charm again 2 weeks ago when a LEGO Shop at Home package inexplicably got stuck in the same status as you mentioned above. Just go to the tracking page and look on the right hand side of the screen for notification options. I typically select them all.
  35. FWIW, I was able to get the avail promos when I got this done for my son in London.
  36. I had the exact same thing happen. They tapped two boxes together to ship my set in and one of them split on the seem. I thought then, "What, they don't have money to buy proper boxes?" I guess not...
  37. Why you gotta call me sweet?

So for Walmart, and I know this is probably what "not to do" but I got tired of waiting for orders to "move" past the processing stage that have been there for a week that I actually went to Request a Cancellation (I bought on Amazon too so I was satisfied with that quantity), and within 4-8 hours, the items now suddenly say shipped. My cancellation request is not there anymore either. Maybe it was reverse psychology or the items that were once in "review" moved out of review and into another category there. Might be a loophole as odd as it may sound.
  39. Conversely, if I was a buyer and a seller said they would only accept F&F, I would assume they were dodgy and not wish to continue with the purchase.
  40. Hold up, you joined this site almost 4 years ago. Are you just now reading the forums? ? I think there's a separate thread (or several) for each of those questions somewhere (none of them are Daily Deals though). I don't sell on Amazon, but if you aren't already, you probably won't be able to (discussion for another thread):

  42. I want some Chinese sets. Let’s trade!
  43. What you can do, if feeling kind / generous / guilty, is hassle the postal service on behalf of the buyer. I've done this a couple times to quench the thirst of buyer impatience and it was very well received. If you were the buyer and could see the seller sent it on time would you try to hold them accountable? C'mon. Sounds like eBay customer service, not a seller... Besides if they wanted it fast they should have asked for an upgrade to Priority Mail.
  44. This is still gambling
  45. I think the ones posting here are actually people with a job. The ones not posting here are the wolves looking to feast on our contributions. If you go to a TRU before lunch time, you'll see mommies with their phones and BP app opened waiting for latest updates.
  46. LEGO Mosaic Maker Coming to the United States The LEGO Mosaic Maker has been pretty popular in the UK, Europe, and more recently in Asia and now it will be making its way to the United States. If you’re not familiar with the Mosaic Maker, it’s basically a machine that captures an image of you and you’ll be able to get printed instructions and bricks for your LEGO portrait.
