Every Brickheadz released to date from this year is exiting by 12/31/18 as of now. Last year they all exited 12/31/17 with the exception of Phasma / Finn which were 1/31/18 but they both lingered through now (believe finn does carry retired tag). 1/1/18 releases exit 8/31/18 but are still available 4/1/18 releases exit 11/30/18 and everything released beyond that is 12/31/18 no clue if any 2019 stuff will come about. Stuff will linger though on all of them like they always have. Don't think any one has had more than a single batch made because they are so small. Everyone I checked was 1 and done. Gonna be stuff popping up all through the end of year as well as stuff meant for TRU is still showing back up. The easter and valentines sets both came back in regular LEGO stores and SAH as they were intended for TRU. Whatever volume of stock was destined for TRU will still have to be gone through at some point.

I sold Bunch last Xmas and again I have 500-600 bhz from first ones to newest ones. Can’t help myself. Hope they’ll retire.

My guess is sales for the year are pacing below expectations and they want to start moving inventory a little more before holiday season kicks in. Could it be that not having TRU as an outlet is affecting overall sales?

For me, it's always time v. money driving these bulk lot decisions. If best case is $5/minifigure at retail, let's assume 15% for fees/handling. $5.00 sale - $2.25 acquisition - $.75 fee = $2.00 net x 2,000 = $4,000. Let's say avg.15 min per item for sorting, researching, listing, packing, printing, shipping = 500 hours. $4,000 / 500 = $8/hr. That's a lot of effort for best case scenario.

I based my purchase offer on what it was worth to me in my store. In this case, this is what I came up with. I never even figured out what the $/figure was, just what I wanted my total investment to be. I try to get in at ~50% and it has worked well so far. I wash all my figures in the sink with mild dish soap and then air dry with a fan. It's a process but I don't want to put stuff in the washer and potentially scratch stuff up. Parts would be another thing but figures with intricate prints need more care IMO. I do take them apart, but after doing this for this long I have most figures memorized as to how they look and which parts go with which figures. I tried to purchase a large lot several months ago on ebay that I offered $5K as that was the number I wanted to get in at. They did not take it and somebody else ended up buying it at a higher price I presume. It sucks to miss on some that you know are good but you have to decide if the price is worth it to you and stick with it. I try to take as much emotion out of my purchase as I can so that I don't overspend. There aren't many figures I really NEED anymore so it's pretty much all business at this point. Bottom line, do your homework and don't be afraid to ask seller questions. Get more pictures if need be. If a buyer every balks or gives you the runaround, it's for good reason.

If they are built correctly, not too much work at all. Just have to inventory in your store if you have one. If they are a mish mash and need cleaned(I would clean regardless) then more work but I think figures are pretty easy overall compared to sorting parts. About 325 figures, in New condition. Almost all from the last 3-5 years or so. Also included a few ships like 7965 MF and FO Tie Fighter. Price per figure is higher than I would normally spend, but the quality of figure was top notch and in my store this will yield around $2300. Some will go to my personal collection, like all the Solo figures(lot had every one)and some others to plug in the gaps in my collection but the rest will be in the BL store.

Totally depends on the figures. If there's 70% City/town, Atlantis, Power Miners, etc., then no, I wouldn't go near it. If this has more top shelf stuff like it was from a collection, then this would have my interest. Then you start talking about condition/completeness of the figures. If there's a bunch that have cracked torsos, then this gets even more questionable. My Bricklink store focuses on figures and their accessories, so these types of lots are of interest when I run across them(just got in an $1100 lot of Star Wars figures yesterday), but I have a checklist of questions to myself when I look at them and the lot needs to check them all off before I pull the trigger. Usually, when there is a lot this big, the condition is all across the board as the age of the figures is all across the board. If the pictures don't show very well what is included, there is usually a reason. It can be tough to photograph this much stuff, but I generally stay away from lots that are just a pile since the middle is generally '80s town figures.

If you set your cutoff time at 11am and roughly 1 hour before the time your post office closes then FCM will be an option Wed thru Sat. You will turn SFP on Wed am and off each day 1 hour before post office closing. We also keep FBA instock of those items so when we turn off SFP you swap to FBA for the rest of the time. The key is make sure you ship pretty much as soon as the orders come in. Amazon also has many glitches when purchasing shipping so when that happens turn SFP off ASAP or you will get hosed. There is also SFP Small and Light but those new zone rates will certainly eat into those profits next year.

The source of that rumour on The Brick Fan is a "LEGOLAND Discovery cashier". So even one step lower than Lego Store employees who are not usually first in line to hear about these things... BrickHeadz design lead Marcos Bessa has confirmed there will be more Brickheadz in 2019, so shame on The Brick Fan for devoting an article to what is basically "ramblings of a random person with no way of having actual inside information".

My best find yet... Was advertised as Lego Lot Grey 2 lbs. Got it for $26 incl shipping. Take a look at the pic, can you figure out which set? There is only one and it was missing 13 pieces. Five digit number ends in 178. I had a battery pack and motor laying around and it all works great. Prior to that was a lot of 25 lbs which had a UCS Yoda in it (missing about 18 pieces). It had about 2 lbs of mega blocks in that lot but I'll take the Yoda any day.

Still don't know about my house/area, but the gossip is that it was absolutely decimated. From one of her neighbors, somehow my sister's house survived with virtually no damage but 90% of the houses on her street were almost completely destroyed. Roofs ripped off, trees falling on. Literally every tree in her neighborhood was ripped out of the ground. Her kids school was leveled to rubble. The power and water might not be back on for a month. It's literally like Katrina levels in some places. Reports of chaos, people looting stores. Breaking into houses. Alot of poor, street people in the area. Neighbors said to bring self defense if anyone goes back. Hundreds of reports of people still trapped in their houses or relatives missing. My brother in law who is a firefighter spent the whole day just clearing roads with chainsaws, trees everywhere, before they've even been able to save anyone. It's crazy, videos are out of people driving around today after the storm, and like everything is gone. Gas stations completely collapsed. Every other store is caved in on itself. Debris and garbage everywhere. It literally looks like a dump. And from the neighbors that stayed, it's even worse in person. It looks like a disaster movie. A giant billboard with like a 6ft thick pole fell on a Waffle House. Power lines down everywhere. And it's like everywhere. Every street is the same. Even the hospitals people had to evacuate. The windows were all blown out. The roof of a government building was on my sister's road. TRAINS were literally knocked over. 20 ton train cars knocked off the track for miles like a kid playing with Hot Wheels. A full size display jet at a veterans park knocked upside down. Hundreds of boats all in a rubbly pile broken up at the beach docks. And I'm just seeing from pictures/videos, have no idea how bad it'll be whenever I get to go back. Mexico Beach about 20 minutes away is even worse. From drone videos, entire neighborhoods were wiped out. Hundreds still missing.
