It's funny you say that, I went back to verify and everyone was pretty underwhelmed with F40 when it was announced. I't not perfect but I like they were able to incorporate the gadgets. They should have just called it Spy Car and saved licensing fees.

I actually have this set, picked it up years ago when I first realized vintage toys were a thing. Had no idea it existed when I was a kid. It's actually sealed and mint which is kind of a bummer because I can't open it up ..........I mean I could, but I feel like if I cut the seals the ghosts from the Arc would come out and melt my face off.

Hey everyone, So I had this vision to build a very small minimalistic black tiled frame that would be mounted behind my sets and lifted enough to be scene above the set. (rough sketch attached). I was curious if anyone had any idea on how to build these? Or have seen any sample builds out there? I figured I'd ask before I just jump in and start from scratch. I tried googling some, but a lot of them featuring gluing bricks ON existing frames and thats not what I want. I want to build something simple, all out of legos. That can "pinch" the print in a frame somehow. This frame does NOT need glass, I just need something that will hold maybe a 4"x6" print in place around the edges. My idea was to pop this design behind various architecture sets to document when I go to these places. Sort of like a personal touch to the set and my travels. The sketch should give you a better idea, thanks for any ideas! Frame idea is obviously in red. - Scott

In order to get lines like that (or longer) in the United States, all you have to do is give away something for FREE or highly discounted and the freeloaders will show up. The BUILD-A-BEAR company just ran a promotion where kids "paid their age." Basically, a five year old kid would pay $5 for a $30-$40 stuffed animal. The cheapskates in the US lined up by the hundreds, if not thousands to get a discounted bear. The company ran out well before many people in line got one. They wasted a whole day to save a few bucks. Just silly.

"Tabby" boy you have forgot to switch the accounts. nevertheless tabs are the most pathetic and not user friendly choice of the packaging Lego has ever invented. seals are much more convenient and easy to store. Push tabs are permanently damaging the box making the box a cat litter compatible instantly after opening. Licence is coming with the purchase online, so no point of being a part of hordes outside since the licence is not exclusive to that particular store like it was with the Bus.

As a comparison I seen prices that to set up a table is $20 to $30 a table at a local toy fair which only goes for half a day. So your $45 a table for a whole day is roughly on the mark? A standard table seems to be like 1.8m long by 0.9m. Ted

I rather like this idea. It's a nice way of showing "Hey, I've been there!" with the physical build. Anyway it shouldn't be too difficult for me to whip up something digitally. At the moment I can see making the back of the frame a little larger than the picture then having the border of tiles hanging over said picture holding it down in place. Honestly there are a number of ways to go about this.

Duplo trains are best Duplo 'investment', but it's a roll of the dice---not a sure a thing. I've done well in the past with unique Duplo train pieces, (like the bridge from 2006(?)) but the hold time can be loooooong. Basically, you'll need to wait for a greater fool to come along.

Thanks! Finally got a shuttle tyderium 75094 at effectively tax-free RRP. I hope the seller makes some money, it's a win-win for us both since I missed out when it was on shelves.

Prime Day worked out pretty well for me. It arrived yesterday in a giant box. And as Jackie Chiles once said in open court.... It did not survive the transit in one piece, but the seller was a fool for even trying. It was dusty from being on display, but everything looked to be in good shape. I subcontracted the teardown process to my 2 year old. He had fun taking pieces off and putting them in the 2 gallon bags. The whole thing fit easily in a 12x18x18 box, which surely would have been cheaper to ship for the seller. Once we finished ripping it down enough for it to be bagged I tossed him in the tub and he got a popsicle for being my helper. So this gives me now a pair of 10221 SSD's. I'll flip this one at some point soon.

yeah, this would be cool. lego can even start the design by 'copying', i mean borrowing from the hold kenner toy. of course, lego will probably end up making it a $19.99 set with a 100 total elements that will resemble what Kenner did w/o walls.
