There should be another two new entries in the list with the rumoured Harry Potter and Star Wars autumn D2Cs. Pretty amazing that eight out of ten sets are from the last 2 years and only the original Falcon can´t be bought this year. No place in the list for any Death Star or Assembly Square, being too small.

I will probably just bricklink the animals and buy the starter pack for the figs. LEGO is playing the same game with City and Jurassic World now as with the Super Heroes theme: putting an exclusive animal into each larger set to sell all the stupid vehicles.

Smart marketing by LEGO IMO. People will buy multiples to make a larger wall.

Big USP is that 60194 is intergrated with Lego Boost.

Love the final result but man was the build frustrating. By far the worst instructions I've had to work with and I've built a lot of classic sets. Cleaning baked in dust and sorting 500+ black pieces added to the frustration (I actually don't mind refurbing classic sets but this one again was more difficult than usual). I added the railing in the back of the "message intercept" section. Anyway, I really dig the abstract nature of classic space base sets. Not all are good but this one and a few of others are kind of beautiful to look at.

I actually like the tripod. LOL. While the 2 X 2s don't bother me, LEGO does have some girder pieces that would have worked and looked better.

Yeah, it looks like they cut corners to keep the piece count down. The designers were probably trying for a hybrid wooden / steel coaster look. Personally I find the new Creator Pirate roller coaster set much more appealing.

Sure but all of those white round 2x2 pieces that make up a large portion of the set could easily be replaced by less expensive stanchion type pieces or technic beams. It wouldn't look as nice but it would probably drop the price some. I'm not sure I see the value if this retails for $350. And if there's any set that you'll want to add power functions to it's this one so figure around $400+ tax. Ouch. I'm interested in seeing how well the whole thing works in operation. If it requires you to manually push it even with power functions that will make it much less impressive.

At least Lego is releasing these at a time when the subject material is actually relevant. Angry Birds was ten years too late and never stood a chance. This theme has potential and if found at a decent discount I'll probably buy a few to flip locally around the holidays.

I dare you to create a smooshing guide for these. And people think LEGO does not know what's going on with the secondary CMF market

Disappointed by this... Will need about 100 of them to do it justice! Have seen some much better micro scale ones with better parts usage for greenery and vegetation... Serious missed opportunity for TLG.

I just did the same. Two days ago my two B&N didn't show any in stock. After reading your post I checked again and they now had them. Both cases were relatively untouched, and I found both policemen. At one store they were on the shelf in the main Lego section. At the other store they were on the counter at the customer service desk in the middle of the store. Barnes is starting to get stock, folks, so check your stores!

Found a mostly full box at B&N last night. Looked in left section, 5th from back....and was shocked to find the policeman!

Just got two police officers from fresh cases at Target. Both were fifth from the back on the left.

This was the first store in a 40 mile radius to drop the price of 10715 this morning. The big sets were obviously online returns and were lying on the top shelf. The Go Kart had been there for a while - I recall price checking it a few months ago. It must have been the fact that I was in my best suit on the way to a meeting that made the Toy Dept Mgr discount these on the spot ... I didn't really ask, she just said "let me see what I can do"... ... And my rugged good looks of course.

Well...the new cowboy and cactus finally made it into our western themed train station...

Damn, the temptation is great to just dump all of them into the bottle. However you're right that one has to count these to make sure one doesn't deviate from the official build. Otherwise one gets into mod territory.
