My wife just told me that we got a letter today from the Toys R Us credit card and they upped my credit limit. At least I have that going for me!6 points

I graciously give credit where due to the original Ideas project's creators as their build was quite good. However theirs was a display build with a number of open gaps (the spacious wheels for example) not stable towards any real sort of handling or play. Same as many other submissions, it simply was not a readily made design for the general consumer requiring a number of changes. Here LEGO closed up everything streamlining the build very well with the riders leaning forward as opposed to dropped sitting into a seating area. The handlebars are higher up than they should be but that is the fault of the minifigure's proportions. Only complaint would be the price though there are a handful of somewhat large parts not to mention all the printing across the translucent dishes and the "rooster tail" kind of tacked on there but I honestly cannot think of anything better without adding a lot of unnecessary bits to the build. Now as usual with any set featuring a good amount of translucent pieces in the design, I can hardly wait to see these under a black light.4 points

I might have to stand outside of my local TRU with sets that I got for 50% off marked at 5% off (being 10% over MSRP).2 points
-
So Bizarre, been to 2 TRU today and people are literally panic buying lego at 5% off TRU’s jacked up prices. The section was already like 40% gone.2 points

Here is how they could fix this. Rey is sleeping, someone wakes her to tell her Leia has just died unexpectedly. As she is going to find out what is going on, we realize she is at the resistance base on D'Qar. The tail end of The Force Awakens and all of The Last Jedi was a dream sequence and never happened. Now we have to go find Luke to tell him about his sister and bring him back to kick ass and take names.2 points

This morning the store says up to 30% on items, with lego mostly being 5% off, if translation worked Odd to do a 5%, but I guess they know feet in the door means people will just say whatever and buy stuff. ITS ON SALE!!!! (+15% vs anywhere else)2 points

As a taxpayer you ARE bailing them out. The taxpayer always foots the bill for anyone who declares bankruptcy TRU could not effectively compete in the digital world. They ran into trouble and we're bought. The new owners took out massive loans to acquire TRU and the TRU failing business did not meet those loans. Has it occurred to anyone that was the plan from the start of the takeover? The corporate officers were paid very high salaries and I'm sure bonuses and other perks during the failing years and with what money? The loan money for the buyout. Money they get to keep in spite of the bankruptcy. Companies do this all the time with premeditation knowing later they will declare bankruptcy after taking out a huge loan for a buyout. How much money were you willing to donate again to a failed business and it's corporate robbers? Wait, let me go make a Go Fund Me page.... (:2 points

Technically they only need 80,000,000 more people to donate $10 each2 points

Yep, I got the chargeback. They won’t reinstate me until they get their money.1 point

You do have another option. Just call the CC company and have them do a charge-back if all else fails.1 point

You should have done a price match in-store a few days ago.1 point

Not surprised, we've seen the same behavior at other closings. Makes no sense, but, a bargain is in the eye of the beholder.1 point

My store has a few people that don't want to do a good job, from the get go.1 point

In '87, Huey released this, Fore, their most accomplished album. I think their undisputed masterpiece is "Hip to be Square", a song so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about the pleasures of conformity, and the importance of trends, it's also a personal statement about the band itself.1 point

Same at mine. The only categories that I could find at 30% were greeting cards, wrapping paper, and fidget toys.1 point

If only there was a scene/storyline in TLJ where they could have killed off Leia...1 point

I like Huey Lewis and the News Their early work was a little too new wave for my taste. But when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor.1 point

Tron is one of my favorite all time movies being a computer nerd and all ... For $24.99 CAD this set rocks (even if the original was better, this has two light cycles), for $29.99 CAD it's OK. At $44.99 CAD, LEGO can kiss my ass.1 point
-
Nope, this is to the new/sealed stuff that's unopened. Sometimes it just disappears. You can blame them later for misplacing it, if asked.1 point
-
LOL...True...$42,999 is not an impressive car purchase...Just sayin'...Corrected it for you.1 point
-
Wow...that is a ridiculously terrible price for an otherwise average set. I'm sorry to all the Tron fans, myself included, but that is no where near the price it should be. Like, if there were features added like a pull/release system or a couple of light bricks, I would still say this was too expensive.1 point

I agree and I also love cooking but I always feel the need to clean up while I'm cooking just to avoid the giant mess at the end. Thank goodness for pizza! The clean up after making dessert is even worse... [emoji4]1 point

Doesn't live up to the Ideas theme's usual standards IMO. A snazzy box hides a weak design.1 point
