The best part of owning this on digital is that the movie is only about 20 minutes long now that I can skip past all the crap.7 points

"Is Lego Super Heroes A Good Investment?" No. Is any LEGO set a good investment? No. Real investors would laugh at such a question. Can one make minimum wage selling LEGO items? Maybe.5 points

Sweet, I won the imperial star destroyer! That was my hope, how awesome. Looks like building time to come with my kids. I'm glad the raffle was another success.4 points

This is a first after all these years. Target shipping decided I wanted my entire EBay order shoved in one box, so they unboxed the last set and just folded the Lego box down before taping it up to ship. ?♂️4 points

Yous should know we like nothing better than to vent about a shop until they fail - then we realise what we are missing going forward and that Amazon is going to be a horrible monopoly.3 points

UCS Cloud City RPP in Poland will be for 1900PLN which is about price of the Death Star -20%. My mate who works for LEGO Poland send me text with price confirmation but no set number yet. the more interesting is the fact that there will be set named "HOGWARTS(?)" which will be significantly bigger and more expensive than Disney Castle same RPP as UCS Cloud City in Poland. price overses may vary. both D2C. Well, things are getting interesting.3 points

I only wish I had the spare time to go into my TRU store and gloat at the manager and a few of her minions. They always treated me with indifference or spite shutting me down at every promotion and once even canceling a purchase AFTER it was rang up and paid for using TRUTH and gift cards. I made the decision 2 years ago never to purchase from that store again until she no longer is an employee there. I may still get my chance to gloat in 6 month's time after her unemployment checks run out and she is ringing up my purchases at Walmart clearance event.2 points

I wouldn't be surprised if it's a simple build that has just a few pieces that doesn't cost a lot. With rumors of Voltron being the biggest piece count / cost for an Ideas set yet, they probably want to balance it a bit.1 point

I think in general few will be a good investment long term. There will be some outliers, which I think usually fall into one of two buckets. One is exclusive minifigs. If there's a minifigure exclusive to a single set that isn't reproduced again, that can be valuable. The issue there is how popular the character is, and the likelihood it is produced again. The second is short shelf life. This seems to happen less, but sometimes you get a set that comes and goes faster than a one year cycle, like the Ant Man set. I'm avoiding most sets these days for investment unless they are 50% off or more as some have mentioned.1 point

Never thought I’d be one to defend any part of this movie but they never said Ach-to is immune from the Force (why would the Force using Jedi have a temple in such a place?) and I’m sure Rey did tell him what happened and he clealry said his time defending the galaxy with his laser sword was done. He feels any actions by him would have other more negative consequences. I agree with Hamill’s earlier thoughts that that is not The real Luke Skywalker, but I didn’t find this angle confusing in how it was presented. Stupid yes, but not confusing1 point

Thank you all for participating! I tell everyone the raffle story and so many think it's unbelievable! We at St. Paul's can't thank you enough. Congratulations to all the winners! A special thanks to the Mack Brothers and their families for all the work and constant support. We are Saint Pauls Strong because of them! Much love.1 point

That's the same promo they gave me last week. Buy something for $50, pay only $20. They followed that with a $5 on $5 and a $15 on $15, also all in-store only. My latest one is a $15 on $30.....1 point
