  2. I am an original Star Wars fan from 1977, had many toys, trading cards, books, records, etc as a 6-12 year old kid from 1977-1983. I have an extensive vintage Star Wars collection that I have built since 1991. I think about Star Wars every day, the same way some men think about cars, sports, gambling, drinking, carousing, etc. We are Disney Vacation Club (time share) members and actually purchased vacation points at the Disney Boardwalk resort so we can stay once a year and walk over to the new Star Wars Land that is due to open next year. I am that invested in Star Wars. I have children who are 7, 10, and 12. The 12 year old is a huge Star Wars fan. The others like it but are not super passionate. I hate what Disney has done to the franchise so much, that I regret buying the Boardwalk points. I don't care about Disney Star Wars any more. The movie was terrible. What they did to Luke Skywalker was unbelievable and unforgivable. Many of us have waited 34.5 years to see Luke Skywalker on the big screen again, and this character assassination is what they gave us. I think I could forgive everything else. I could get over the bad science, the inconsistencies, the ridiculous plot, and the rest of this ridiculous movie if they would have done justice to Luke's character. I am done. What little TLJ merchandise that made its way into our house before we saw the movie is gone. There will be no more. No Legos, no other toys, no DVDs, no Halloween costumes, etc etc. We only went to the theater once instead of multiple times like we had with the other movies. That's 5 tickets x 2 or x 3 that Disney did not sell for TLJ, and will not sell for Episode IX or Solo. I don't give a crap about what comes next. What's more, my 7 and 10 year old are now completely disengaged from Star Wars. The movie was so bad that it lost them. My 12 year old did not like it. I had a car full of 12 year olds recently, and they all thought TLJ sucked. There are many, many people out there who simply did not like this movie. Do not believe the media BS that it's right wing racists review bombing the movie. I am a long time fan who is disenchanted with what they did to Luke and otherwise thought the movie was just, well, bad. BTW, my family is multicultural and multiracial. This is not a white male thing. If you liked the movie, good for you. If you did not like it, then do not support Disney Star Wars. Do not buy the DVD, do not buy the toys, do not go see Solo or Episode IX. That is the only way a change at Lucasfilm will be forced.

  4. This is right after Rey and Chewie take off in the Falcon to go find Luke. I have no idea when they found time to change it from when R2 wakes up to when they leave, but they did.

  5. I really had the phantom menace syndrom with this film. At first I liked it but as time grew on it aged about as well as a dog turd does in a microwave.

  7. A Summer In Tuscany by Pau Padrós, en Flickr Hey guys, just in case you're interested, this is a little modular MOC I finished a couple weeks ago. There's a whole album about it on Flickr. About its design, there's not much to say. Assembly Square's setup (48x32), only tuned up for a Tuscan/Emilia Romagnan little square (Firenze, Lucca, Piasenza, Modena, Ravenna etc.). I do think it's nice, hope you like it! It's actually the second modular I do that features yellow prominently, but here I believe it's used in a more balanced manner. Besides, I've tried to capture some of the summery details that are often hard to convey in Lego, for instance, the tree peeking behind the garden wall or a huge load of wisteria running up the side of the yellow building!? 10. Found some of the new wave today: green power puff, adventure time, Hermione, Knight Rider, Bennie, unikitty, but in smaller quantities this time. If anyone wants these just pm me. Same offer: no profit, just a donation ($1-$3 per set will do) to St Paul school that I’ll make in your name. Disclaimer: I did have to round down a few pennies on your donations because the school’s website only allowed donations in whole dollars [emoji6] Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker Forum mobile app

  12. That's the big question here. A mention on the slickdeal thread of Mission Impossible found at one store, but hasn't been confirmed by anyone else. Limited sightings of Aquaman. We are going into the 4th week of this now. Last year dimensions lasted about 5 weeks more or less and then stopped being restocked. In my neck of the woods (inland empire -20 mile radius I shop in - southern california) I'm not finding anymore Puff Team Packs, Slimer, Doc Brown, E.T or Sensei Wu. Quantities are small on Harry Potter Hermione and Marceline. Even smaller on Wonder Woman. Bettle Juice I find in some stores in good quantities along with the green puff girl. The Titan Pack is popping up in good quantities too. Still finding good quantities of Knight Rider, Chase and Unikitty (although that is changing at some stores) Other packs from last year, I hear pop in here and there but in small quantities...ie Benny, Nya, Jay. Some stores have not received much at all from the initial week. Either being bought by the pallet by some reseller/manager agreement or this is just limited to maybe 80 percent of the chain.

  16. It was a good day for me for CL finds yesterday: 41037 Stephanie’s Beach House, NISB, $25 10211 Grand Emporium, Used, $100, Complete, no instructions. I was planning to sell this one but decided to keep it because I am impressed with this set. It is my first modular set and I really like the window washer, the skylight, the sign on top of the building and the chandelier! Since I am planning to build a city scene it will be an excellent start…

  19. A dozen Marceline appeared in 1 out of 3 stores I check, even better, 5 or 6 Excalibur Batman. I should hope more appear. Sadly, a store or two has gone back to the "dump into a bin" route, so they're getting mangled, but they're 95% Powerpuff. :|

  20. From what I've seen so far, TRU don't do Lego fire sales. My local store shipped them off. I expect to see them on the TRU ebay site, although the administrators will ultimately decide the stock's fate.

  21. I’ve sold a set of modulars; 10197 FB, 10211 GE, 10218 PS, 10224 TH and 10232 PC. All 5 MIB for €1.350,- cash, local pickup. Buy in was €670,-, about 2 years ago. And with this sale I’ve met a couple of LEGO enthusiasts just like me which was also a lot of fun. During the conversation it appears they where searching for a couple of collectible minifigures which I had. So I’ve also sold them a Hotdog Man and Unicorn Girl (S13), Pigsuit Guy (S12), Banana Suit Guy (S16), Butterflies Girl (S17), and Chickensuit Guy (Easter version). All in closed package. I gave them the Hotdog Suit for free as a little thank you for the Modulars. I received an additional € 45,- for the other figs (buy-in total of €15,-). Grand total of € 1.395,-.

  22. Depends on the promo Depends on the discount Depends on whether you pay taxes at Amazon Depends on the depth of discounts at your local stores during clearance season There isn't a right answer and it varies from day to day.

  23. Too generous by half. I’d argue the show started downhill well before that (once they arrived in Alex), and Negan was actually the first truly interesting character/potential-storyline to emerge since Terminus...

  24. 41078 Skyra's Mysterious Sky Castle, sold for €120 cash. Buy-in was €60. And while I put the ad on "reserved" for the buyer, I already got a message from another interested buyer stating they'd be interested if the reserved buy wouldn't work out.

  25. Finished 10260 Downtown Diner today. Really fun build. Always like to see some new and different building techniques and the modulars generally do not disappoint. The stairway in the back of the building is pretty amazing how they came up with that. I personally really like the look of this one, though I can see how others would not. Different lines are always welcome with me and this one has many. The modular builders are getting away from the basic square build which is nice, though the more traditional building has its place as well.

  27. It’s not an issue of just having little chuckle flaws. They all do. But New Hope didn’t recycle a previous Star Wars movie or take its characters into uncharacteristic paths like the past 2 have. These new movies’ main flaw is apathy. They’re not even trying to be new, just recycling the same formula like their Marvel cousins for the most part. This can only last so long before audiences get bored.

  28. Was at the mall last night and walked into a Disney Store. I was bewildered when I saw two Star Was Millennium Falcon 75105 just sitting on the shelf with a sticker price of priced at $106.99 At the register, I asked if there was any more available and the cashier said, they have more how many do I need. Did I want to take all of them.... I said I'll take as many as I can afford, but if you have 50 + units, I can't afford that many I asked them if they can check their stock first. Cashier comes back and she was told that 4 more were available. I told the nice cashier OK, I will take all 4 plus the 2 units on the counter. When I was getting rung up. The 4 sets in the back were not 75105 as they claimed, but were First Order Star Destroyer 75190 for $169.95. LOL. Item was scanned and it was marked $106.99 each. So I walked out with the 2x 75105 @ 106.xx + a Buzz Lightyear 12" Talking Action Figure @ $20 plus had to buy an reusable ECO bag for 50 cents.
