The few missing parts I ordered arrived for the Indiana Jones 7623 Temple Escape set I bought off CL ($40) recently and it was a fun build with a lot of play features. It is an impressive set for its size and it will be a little bit sad when it sells since I bought it for investment. It did come with both instruction manuals and that was a bonus.

Happy to share deals if it benefits the BP community. Keeps it off HDUK and Amazon (if it's a current set).

I’m working on a moc of the cantina scene using parts from 2 of 75052 and 1 of the recently released 75205. Still gotta add some more tables and then populate with aliens and whatnot. Im no expert moc man. I borrowed the design from someone off Facebook. Still toying around. Suggestions are welcome!

This Turtles set doesn't sell very often though, if you look at sold posts on Ebay. Yes, some are £60 plus, but there have been a couple under that in the last few months. To be honest, you might make £20 or something like that if you hold on to them for a good while, for each one. I was tempted myself to be honest, but they really don't look to sell too often and I've got enough crap taking up space to wait around for this in the hope for £15-20 one day in a few months. Honestly though, it's not a bad buy at all, but I wouldn't say it's an easy quick win. If you buy a few of these you'll be holding them for a good while to make a decent profit after all the usual fees. If it suits your strategy, then fine. That's all good. Good looking out to the original poster too. Respect for sharing it

My good missus discovered the site when I was looking for more info on a bag of Lego I bought at a market. It was a decent price. I decided to join the forum and to see what I could learn and contribute.

I lucked into that set cheap on eBay a couple years ago. I need to build it sometime. Indy sets are one of my biggest regrets. I was still in my dark ages, but taking my daughter to LEGOLAND when those were out. I remember seeing them on the shelves. I even thought to myself “if I collected LEGO I’d buy those.”

I guess you can polish a turd and it ends up being white and blue. That thing is ugly, whether it matches the film or not. To me the MF will always be the fastest hunk of junk.

The Fantastic Beasts movie was aimed at a slightly older target age compared to the Harry Potter movies, which especially with the first two movies was very watchable for kids below 10 years old. My 11 year old son has watched all the movies, though the last few were a slight bit frightening for him. But he hasn't watched Fantastic Beasts ... yet. His situation is far from unique, which I think is a good explanation why the Fantastic Beasts sets didn't do nearly as well as the HP movie sets. It's a mistake LEGO keeps making, when they produce LEGO sets connected to movies which are watched by late-teenagers who don't play with LEGO any longer. Kids actually playing with LEGO are in the 3-13 age group by far. Of course there are also older kids still playing with LEGO, but they are in the small minority compared to their peers. It's the exact time we call The Lego Dark Ages ...

Well, in your area dinosaurs are probably not extinct yet. They won´t want to dilute interest in the new film.

Picked up 7894 airport from a charity shop for a fiver, box was a bit faded. Expected the worst when I put it together this afternoon. To my amazement all present and correct mint with all three instruction books. Looks like it was built twelve years ago and put straight back in the box again, right result ??

I broke my left arm a couple weeks ago (no cast, which has its +'s and -'s), so I hadn't built anything lately. But I picked up a Batgirl Batwing from Walmart for $5 for my 3 yo daughter, bc she likes Batgirl and likes to help me build. Wasn't very impressed with the build, it looks pretty cool for what it is, but there is a 2x16ish plate that runs down the middle of the bottom and makes it super unstable for the last 2/3rds of the build. I would have to hold it still with my one good hand while she tried to apply pieces and about every third piece it would slip and fly off the table.

Great build. Had not built a proper lego ship in about 20 years.

Finished off the Detective’s Office tonight. Probably among my top 3 Modular Buildings so far in my collection.

The guest of Tara Wike (Lead CMF Designer) said in this interview (starting at 2:40) "They're not randomly distributed, but they're not equally distributed?" and she confirmed, "Some are more frequent". "If we think one will be really popular, we try to make it more frequent."

Finished this up last week - hands down one of favorite sets, both in terms of the building process as well as the final result. If you are on the fence at all, I highly recommend it! It would be nice if LEGO put out a descent small sail boat to go with this - I have some of the recent Fishing Boats stored away, but somehow one of those just doesn't seem to do this set justice...

Built the Dragster Transporter set and it was bought for its versatility. So glad I bought a few for investment too. This set seems to be a winner and we are using it as more a heavy cargo transport. We have that one also. ?

I realized I've only been sorting bulk and laying out pieces for sets to see what I'm missing without building any sets for months, so I pulled out the pieces for 6278. Along with my pirate ships, this was one of the largest sets I owned in my childhood. I used to make stop motion videos of the islanders against the pirates using a camera that weighed about 10 pounds. There's a VHS tape around somewhere with what could become The LEGO Pirates Movie. I will need to work on the special effects, though.

I built this with my two 6 year olds. It was going to be one story. Every time we finished a floor, I asked them if they wanted to add another. The patios were their idea. The boy was also insistent on an elevator, which is what that hole on the left is the future site of. I have no idea how I'm going cram some kind of elevator in there. I just posted in a Minecraft thread asking this; but, if anyone has any links to elevator building info, I could use it. This is the first time using hinges to make a house that opens up. The kids love it. When we start building, they want to know what the "special feature" will be. "Okay, okay, you can bring it to the breakfast table."

Funny, Jeff and I were just talking about this situation the other day. There was a post in the Bricklink forums which mentioned people getting banned on Bricklink. One of the posts mentioned Brickpicker as one of LEGO's targets. I said if you think Brickpicker is an issue, how about thousands of Bricklink members buying new LEGO sets to part them out and resell for more money than the original set? LEGO can't think to highly of that. I also said that Brickpicker directly sells hundreds of thousands of dollars of LEGO sets annually through their affiliates like LEGO S@H, Target, Amazon, etc... Bricklink doesn't sell any. As a matter of fact, does Bricklink even have a LEGO logo anywhere on their site? I don't think so. Maybe Bricklink is the next target of LEGO.
