Beautiful rendition of the Ford GT designed by the 1:8 scale super car king @loxlego My photos are crap, so if you want further info go here. This shelf is pretty much his shelf.

JUST A QUICK UPDATE: A total of 213 Dimensions sets have shipped out, and brickpickers have so far donated a combined $235 to the St. Paul Fundraiser in connection with their purchase. Thanks to those of you who donated more than a $1 per set, or added the difference in shipping cost to your donation. WHAT NOW? As of Tuesday, 99 cent stores in my area were wiped out, but I'll keep checking and post what I find. So continue to PM me if more of you are interested. It's helpful if you list sets and quantities, rather than saying "let me know what you have" cause then I can estimate and decide whether to arm sweep what I find. P.S.1 I currently have 19 unikitties remaining, so if anyone is interested in these let me know. P.S.2 For those of you whose orders are en route, please let me know when you receive your orders, thanks!

  6. Went into local Lego store today looking to buy my first Saturn V to get the dog and 60th anniversary promo. Decided to beat the crowds and get there early. Instead of getting the Saturn V, I walked out with the below. All at half price with the exception of the BrickHeadz. All boxes were minty with the exception of one hover tank which I will use for parts since I needed the mini figure. Had to do three trips. Already flipped two of the year of the dog promos for £25 each. Will be popping down again first thing tomorrow since they said that any returns will immediately be put out first thing in morning and offered at 50% off.
  7. Well, in your area dinosaurs are probably not extinct yet. They won´t want to dilute interest in the new film.

That’s me 35 ft in the air on a ladder yesterday. The height doesn’t bother me. I’m just worried about dropping my paint!

Stud-Flipper, you definitely have your whole life ahead of you. Good for you for identifying your situation and quitting a crappy job. Something better will come along. I'm in my 40's and was recently laid off. I have not been unemployed for about 20 years. Scary as hell. Had my first interview yesterday. Crossing fingers.

  16. Even in the last few years with HP dying down, there are always at least 4 or 5 kids going through my classroom (6th grade) who at some point during the year are reading HP for the first time, and this is usually from my recommendation or from one of the 3 or 4 other kids who love the series, are shocked others haven't read it, and demand they read it RIGHT NOW. So, HP still seems to remain pretty relevant from my limited experience.
  17. Potheads was my first.
  18. Note the bricks with holes on the side. I'm guessing other sets are going to connect to make a larger castle. In other words: YEAH BABY!! Edit:only now see the description which mentions this fact. No further guessing required. Day one purchase here ....

  22. Quit my crappy part-time job. 80% of my income went to rent. Left me like $200 a month for food and gas. ? Hope I find a job in the next few weeks to put back $$$ for April's rent. Life is tough. I'll turn 20 in a few weeks so there's that.

  27. No, not this one. I bought some Hotwheels Advent Calendars from Tesco for a ridiculous £3 after Christmas. The same seller is selling online for £6! They must have got them for a pound or less. No chance for me.
  28. The junior sets are the only exciting ones. I think 10758 will help double RRP quickly once it retires.
  29. First of all, I had to google Basilisk (I have not watched these movies). Then I had to go back and find where it was and thought it was the owl initially. Yikes, that thing when glances just looks like a burn pile.

  31. Lego Friends 41324 Ski Lift. Just £24 from Asda (about 55% off). Cheapest I've ever seen it and could be a pricing error. I've bought 3. Needs clearing before Amazon price match and HDUK pick up on it. Update: All gone. Amazon dilution avoided!
  32. Honestly, I think they did a pretty good job on this set. Quite a few minifigures and a pretty big set for $100 USD. The blip about the Whomping Willow is good news, as are the holes to attach to other sets. Minifigures are a little strange... faces and hair seem more comical/childish than the older HP sets (where the characters looked pretty good in my opinion). I would have preferred if the figs had the full legs but it doesn't prevent me from liking the set. With 10 figs in this one, I have high hopes for the D2C. A Diggory, Delacour, Luna with Ravenclaw torso, and Slughorn (though that is a long shot) would be the ones I want most. Other ones could perhaps be another Weasley brothers, ghosts. The Susan Bones makes me think they are not afraid to add lesser known characters so perhaps even some of the other characters that haven't been made yet (Crouch, Maxime, Fudge, Kingsley, Tonks, etc.)
  33. J.K. Rowling believes she's still relevant.
  34. Haven´t the movies haven´t made it to your local cinema yet? Are they still playing Sound of Music and Psycho as premieres?
  35. Orders from yesterday at SAH are now shipping.
  36. I know. But everything's ok because I got a free bar code sticker and 19p cashback.

I found an endcap full of both Powerpuff Girl sets and Knight Riders at my 5th 99 Cents Only. I added some additional team packs so I could make bundles. Glad I found the Buttercups.
  38. I confirmed the 10% off is back!!!

Good morning all, I’ve received lots of interest so far. Please pm the following in your request: 1. Zip code 2. Preferred ship method 3. If you want them in their boxes or just the poly bags and instructions (less shipping cost). 4. Set and quantity of each. 5. If the shipping estimate is higher than actual, I’ll return the difference or add to your St Paul donation, your choice. Some have offered to pay more than the extra $1 per set. Anything paid over cost will be added to your donation. Thanks for your generosity [emoji3] For those with larger orders (>50), I can probably get another 50x Unikitty, Slimer and 75x Chase. If these interest you, pm me and I’ll arm sweep them on my way home. Cheers all! Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker Forum

  45. Built a fence! Last month, we had some incredibly strong winds here in SoCal and it knocked my fence over. My neighbor and I, after getting a construction quote and realizing his deductible was too high, decided to rebuild the fence ourselves. We finally finished up yesterday. I had never built a fence. He’s done it a few times. I think it turned out really well. Although the post hole digging took a lot out of this old body.
