  1. Here is a 6 month update for those that were curious. The ship has weathered quite nicely. The only thing I'm worried about is the sails, they look great now, but I don't know about long term. It has not been a maintenance nightmare, as a matter of fact, our cleaner fish and snails do an excellent job!! We get more comments on this display than any of our other displays....people love it!!! I'll post a one year update just for sh*ts and giggles.

  2. This is pretty cool! Someone combined two Destiny's Bounty sets to create a bigger ship: In the description of the video: Two combination sets of Lego the Ninjago movie set 70618 Destiny's Bounty is now here. All parts is used only from the 2 sets of 70618 except custom sails and non-Lego string. The length is double with more rooms and space. Training room was moved to lower deck and Master Woo room was moved to second deck. opposite to toilet, It is space for cargo.

  18. Never ceases to amaze me the number of talented builders that are out there in the community, whether it be with MOCs or as with the DB and some recent modulars, where two sets have been used to create a bigger and better version of the original. As well as the DB, there have been recent enlarged versions of Parisian Restaurant, Brick Bank and the Palace Cinema.

  22. Belle's Castle £69.99, buy in £38. Not a massive profit after fees and postage but my first sale on eBay so I'm happy. I've increased the price for the other one now to gain a bit more more profit.

  24. Apologies if already posted. Not a deal as far as pricing goes, but the Romantic Valentine Picnic (40236) has resurfaced online at TRU: https://www.toysrus.com/product?productId=120450176 The dropdown only lets you add 1 or 2 to cart, but I just realized it says Limit 5 and you can change quantity in the cart. Son of a...I had already ordered, padding $9 of something I didn't want to get free shipping.

  25. Seems they are pushing a new limit with Technic to see how far they can go. Porsche sold out at 300 during the initial rush so why not? The problem is the Chiron is more of a niche brand. Now we know that they will have an 2.5 year life and are not D2C´s, it´s a question of timing purchase for the best possible discounts. I´m guessing it will be a 400 euro set in Lego taxed countries. The 42082 crane with 4000 pieces for 230 euros seems like a right bargain.

  27. No, I didn't hear anything from the buyer, it just went through 8 days after the initial payment. I can't imagine it being anything on my side either, between the two cases I also had multiple payments go through without a hitch. The second case is currently 5 days pending, haven't heard anything from him either. But that buyers seems to be rather casual, only 12 feedback in 8 years, but adresses match in ebay and paypal and correspond to "independent googling" of his name, so all seems fine with his account. Maybe just a randomized PayPal-security check or something.

  32. Do we know the retail price on these yet? Edit: Oh, I thought the $19.99 was just speculation. Yikes. I'll get one each for collection, but that's it. Edit edit: That was a pretty bad article. The author being just a "contributor" (in Forbes definition, then, not a staff writer) doesn't exactly lend credibility either. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if $19.99 is the correct price...just seems it could possibly be a mistake.

  35. After building the UCS falcon I thought to take a step back and build something with alot less pieces. I had sold the taj Mahal when the new one was announced basically to come out ahead gaining instructions and the box. For the first 10 bags I regretted my decision as it extremely monotonous.

  38. Good riddance. Saturn tower is nice in concept, but not really feasible as an official LEGO set for multiple reasons. If the selection is meh, let's spend the creative designer time on something else.
