  1. Here is a 6 month update for those that were curious. The ship has weathered quite nicely. The only thing I'm worried about is the sails, they look great now, but I don't know about long term. It has not been a maintenance nightmare, as a matter of fact, our cleaner fish and snails do an excellent job!! We get more comments on this display than any of our other displays....people love it!!! I'll post a one year update just for sh*ts and giggles.

  2. This is pretty cool! Someone combined two Destiny's Bounty sets to create a bigger ship: In the description of the video: Two combination sets of Lego the Ninjago movie set 70618 Destiny's Bounty is now here. All parts is used only from the 2 sets of 70618 except custom sails and non-Lego string. The length is double with more rooms and space. Training room was moved to lower deck and Master Woo room was moved to second deck. opposite to toilet, It is space for cargo.

  18. Never ceases to amaze me the number of talented builders that are out there in the community, whether it be with MOCs or as with the DB and some recent modulars, where two sets have been used to create a bigger and better version of the original. As well as the DB, there have been recent enlarged versions of Parisian Restaurant, Brick Bank and the Palace Cinema.

  22. Belle's Castle £69.99, buy in £38. Not a massive profit after fees and postage but my first sale on eBay so I'm happy. I've increased the price for the other one now to gain a bit more more profit.

  23. Easy solution to the politics of the Vegas set, just replace the Madalay Bay model with the Trump Int'l Hotel, problem solved.

  24. It will sell out due to initial demand from genuine buyers and quick flippers as have all recent big sets. I want one but I suspect I have enough parts to be able to build it by cannibalising the Porsche and some other sets - only the rims are likely to be exclusive.

  25. If it's only 50 Euro's it can't be that great a wall? I may buy one and send it to the White House, sounds like that may be the only great wall he gets to build.

  28. I've been on the other side of this twice this month. The buyer initiated a payment via PayPal but it was not completed immediately and stayed in payment pending for about 8 days. The mail from PayPal notifying me explicitly said NOT to send the package before the payment was completed, so I sent the buyer a message explaining the delay in shipping and waited till the payment cleared. So yes, I guess the seller should not have sent it yet but yes he has your adress information as he normally would have.

  33. Newbie here from South Australia. I loved Lego as a kid growing up in the 80s. Mostly City and Castle and still have some of these, currently in storage whilst we build a new house. I received my late uncle's 60s Town set (810) in the 90s most of the pieces are mising, broken or damaged except for the following Thanks for looking

  34. There are usually several indicators that show gender specific minifigs. Eyelashes for one of course. Sometimes there is extra make up like lipstick would typically be female. Facial hair like beard stubble would be considered male. Then there are times when the face is just a simple smiley face like the police officer which could be considered gender neutral and you can choose to do whatever you want with it. Even if those features weren't enough, there are hair, torso, and costume options that can relatively determine gender. Head piece is not the only factor. In the end, a minifigure is not male or female, it is a collection of pieces that presents a view of the creator's vision. What does the phrase "The whole is greater than the sum of its parts" mean? It means that there is such a connection among the individual items that it is better than what each one would be individually. This is known as synergy.
