Stopover on the way to Orlando at a Target in Southern Tennessee landed me 1x70601 Ninjago Sky Shark. Wasn't giving a price on any of the scanners (wall-mount, employee, register). Guys at electronics said it was scrapped merchandise and I wouldn't be able to buy it, but the lady at CS found an online price and managed to print an "Online Item" 30% off sticker to make my purchase price $11 (website price was $16.49, RRP $19.99). Set is down to last 5 sellers on Amazon, with only 1 FBA for $60 so score!6 points

Amazon gave them free Lego then helped them sell it at extortionate prices then lost the items and blamed the sellers,5 points

I’ve learnt from last year this is a great time to be regularly visiting your usual Lego stores since this is when end of year inventory is done in preparation for new stock and you can get an odd gem that appears which someone forgot to put out on the floor in the Xmas rush. Also helps to be nice and ask staff to check out in the back. Hence why I ended up with 4 x 41179’s as opposed to just the one that was on the shelf. Although I do regret not loading up on these about 6 weeks ago at TRU when they were doing their 20% off, given that they are now doing about 2 x RRP already. But can’t complain with my four, although my daughter has already eyed it up along with the Water Dragons that I also manage to snag. Will need to ensure that these are stored away properly!2 points

Nope...I picked up my 75192 sept 26th and also got the e-mail about November..then called customer service and was told "your card is being printed in Germany and should arrive before dec 25th"...and...Nnnope! i was also told that if it didn't arrive by the new year to call lego again and just got off the phone...and was told to continue to wait but that they'd print another card anyways....that second card is expected by the end of February Meanwhile....at the first sign of a Card in my mailbox I was instructed to call lego back to confirm...so I'm guessing however this plays out I'm getting two printed numbered cards with my Vip number on it as well...so who knows?...maybe they'll deactivate one card...or maybe it doesn't matter.2 points

Northern Italy is like a bermuda triangle for retired lego. It all goes there and only you bring it out!2 points

They are pretty cheap on EBay. I think I got mine for $60 and I added a $15 set to use the $15 off $75 coupon a few weeks back.2 points

There are a few genuine ones at £120 over past two days, with non stock photos. Any sold listings with stock listings I disregard. Will keep mine till next Xmas.1 point

Good discount. though a quick look on ebay "sold" and there are no sales above £50? Are those ones listed for sale at c. £150 being realistic? (not knocking your choice! just wondering if the ebay pries are realistic and whether this really is a £150 set).1 point

My dad lives near Sesto Calende at the bottom of Lago Maggiore. Italy is probably my favourite country to visit. Haven't spotted any Lego bargains while I've been over there though.1 point

I visited Milton Keynes Lego Store and Smyths this morning. Smyths's shelves were quite depleted. I asked about Minecraft and Elves and they said they were waiting for the new stock. Simpsons House and Ghostbusters HQ had at least 4 of each. The manager said he wasn't expecting much stock in the way of Elves this year. He said he cannot order any more 2017 sets. In the Lego store, again stock seemed low. They were expecting a big delivery today, including Eiffel Tower. I dug a bit deeper and it was was missing off the delivery list that was interesting. Nothing of interest on sale. All sale stuff was gone, apart from Adventure Time, Elves 41184 (lots of these), and some DC Super Hero Girls for about 30% off I think. All new stuff was there including Minecraft (the boxes are a lot smaller this year). Lots of Christmas Train Rides 40262. Plenty of big box sets available, including Saturns. No Palace Cinema. No freebies, apart from Pick a Brick so it wasn't a very worthwhile trip. They didn't even have the City giveaway in stock. I only bought a Christmas Train Ride for £8 and a reduced Snow Hideout for £29 with sight box damage.1 point

I voted Technic. After an extremely good year in 2016 with the Claas Xerion, The Bucket Wheel Excavator and the Porsche 911 GT3 RS, the supposed big aniversary of 40 years LEGO Technic was such a disappointment. The big flagship set 6x6 Tow truck 42070 was hopelessly overpriced and badly designed, no real highlights in the line at all (42069 Extreme Offroad was an interesting build but a meh-vehicle overall)1 point

I am pretty sure most fans are not upset they tried something different. We don't like the movie because it is terribly written and it was a sequel to spaceballs.1 point

well me and the girlfriend love it - we are working on building a whole theme park. Yes would love a big proper creator one but this will add colour and looks good as a 'kiddy coaster' plus get two and we'll get to add a pair of rides to the park for (hopefully) price of one creator ride ?1 point

How I feel every time someone mentions "so many people being happy" to get another chance at a previously rare LEGO item.1 point

Well, I’ve been quite busy for the past 6 months or so…but I have been slowly piecing together and building a train terminal that I purchased the instructions from on eBay (https://www.ebay.com/itm/Lego-Station-PDF-instructions-MOC-Building-City-Modular-/152374747648?hash=item237a3e2200). I also did some modifications and customized it a little bit by adding a comic shop and a small convenience store (with stickers from Brick Builders Pro (http://www.brickbuilderspro.com/). It was quite the project and I just finished it, so I thought I would show some pictures to you all. I had some help sourcing some of the parts from my local Bricks and Minifigs store. There are around 12,000-13,000 parts to the building. Eventually I plan on adding a 60051 High Speed Passenger train or two and doing some more changes/modifications to it….but I am going to save that for a later date.1 point
