Finally finished! Holy cow, it’s a beast! Frankly I love it. Wish it had gotten more love. Sooooo steampunk. As steampunk as LEGO will ever get, I bet. Great build. Very interesting the entire time. Fantastic detail throughout.4 points

I guess this counts as a deal...last set I bought on Amazon I picked the delayed shipping where they offer a "digital" benefit back. Usually it is something sort of worthless IMO. This time it was a benefit of a free Star Wars graphic novel for the Kindle. There's a list of about 15 choices you get. I took a Thrawn trilogy one which was listed at $12.99 - did show as free on my order. Not a bad benefit if you aren't in a rush on getting an order. YMMV, not sure if it is account specific at all.3 points

Figured you'll go all in on the sweeper seeing it resembles a steamroller. Actually give credit to you as I saw your post this morning which brought it to my attention. Did 200 in morning and went back to do more at night and kept poofing at end.2 points

OMG, that's pathetic! (both the new set, now that I've seen the picture of it, and the recycling of a pretty decent set into something not worth the packaging) !1 point

I guess it's the time of the year. Sold a: Dr. Who for $100 Set 105 Canadian Post Truck for $200 (used). I was sitting on the fence on whether to sell due to the vintage factor of this set. But it's picked up for only $10.1 point

EBay $195 + shipping - Used lot 40+ lbs of mixed Lego in good shape from 3 different recent local buys. Mostly built/partially City sets/vehicles. Some partly built SW ships among other themes too. I'd say fewer than 20 figures and a bunch of instructions. Picked out a bunch of small keeper sets/items. The sale pays for the 3 local buys and I got some nice goodies for my efforts. A nice complete with box 21103 DeLorean as one example..1 point

Cheaper here with 20% off code GREEN20 https://www.rakuten.com/shop/toysrus--babiesrus/product/36E0C02E/ This is a great deal and a really cool looking set, but for investment purposes it has been on deep discount for a long time and it is Nexo, so keep that in mind.1 point

Thanks for the heads up! Picked up 1x Yellow Sub and 5x Phantom. I have my doubts about both as investments but I'm not a strong enough human being to turn down $36 yellow subs or $16 phantoms.1 point

Still, some nice stacking opportunities resulting in free GCs to use on LEGO. For example: Ordered the Target Exclusive Ninjago Movie package, plus 3 bundles of Bounty Towels (free $10 GC), plus 3 bundles of Cottonelle TP (free $10 GC) for $100.96. $20 off, applied the $10 GC on $50+ promo code I received in the paper mail last week to get all of this for $81 with $30 back in GCs. EDIT: Oh, and paid with a 10% off GC to boot1 point

TRU restricted the rewards from being applied to any Lego purchase for few weeks. After a lot of backlash, they lifted the restriction and it is back to normal, for now anyways.1 point

I knew the 25% wouldn't work on Lego but if you spend $100 on Lego you should get a $25 gift card back.1 point

After looking through The Lego Book for what has to be the thousandth time my eyes focused on set 3221 Lego Truck from 2010 and I knew instantly I had to have it. After seeing the price it was selling for I decided to BrickLink the parts. Fortunately it only took 3 orders and cost under $40. My daughter said, “Daddy, it only real needs the Lego sticker on the cab of the truck”, so using her wisdom I did exactly that and it really does have too many Lego stickers (down the side and on the back doors) and other stickers for my liking. The minifigures are close to the originals in the actual set and inspiration struck to create an Alex minifigure from Ice Road Truckers and that is the reason for the brown hat for the driver! Maybe I should use the truck to deliver all the packages with the sets we have been selling during the Christmas season. I have sold more sets than ever recently and I hope you all are doing the same.1 point

I'm working on the "2018" edition of this thread. I'm going to keep it "clean" - no discussion, just posts stating that a product is retired. This is what I believe we need for a post: Set Name, Date Retired, Region retired, and screenshot of the set name with "Retired Product" Sound good? Anything else? I'll take care of having an index thread stickied at the top, with links to the posts and links to the discussion threads for each set.1 point

Eh, 99% of people don't care or know who the designer is. Plus, he's not under some contract to never sign another one of these.1 point

Some A-hole got my debit card info and used it at 2 different Stop and Shops in Connecticut. I live in Massachusetts. At least it was only for about $200 before I noticed.1 point
