Women of Nasa. It's the new 2018 calendar I'm ordering. I hope my wife doesn't get jealous.7 points

Like an idiot, I first tried scanning the barcode on the scanner itself without success before a nice employee showed me the scanning gun attached to register. Worked like a charm after that. Picked up a 75151 Tank for son as Xmas gift. Side story: Nice old, 80+ grandma was creeping down LEGO aisle and fixed her eyes on the 75190 FO Finalizer. Bent down to see $159.99 price and just slowly mumbled "you gotta be sh*ttin me. He's getting a basketball instead." Poor Timmy.4 points

Too much other crap to sell. Spaceports can wait.3 points

After 2 hours with customer service trying to find what happened to my Palace Cinema (88 dollar cyber monday deal). They determined that it was forever lost. And out of stock. They escalated me to level 2 then level 3 customer service. In the end, got left with a refund of cash plus 100 dollar courtesy credit for me to spend to get a brick bank or anything else I want to get from their amazon prime line up. Not bad.2 points

I still can’t find my last spaceport. “hidden gem”, indeed2 points

these spaceports are doing great. quick post EOL bump from the BN 50% off + 5% member discount + discount gc deals earlier this year. recent fba: $12 buyin city snowplow trucks for $49 quickily. even the porta potty truck is getting $49 now. sold through a dozen $12 buyin scooby doo planes for $44 and $9 buyin scooby mummies for $44. haunted light house for $105. all out of scooby except for a few dozen mystery machines for the long haul. scooby has been doing great.2 points

Honestly, I'm still in denial. This year my business grew by an unreasonable amount and don't have the capacity or infrastructure to manage it. Weathering the storm through the holidays. If some of the more experienced volume sellers would be willing to give me some advice, please PM me, I am considering going full time and have some questions. Side note: When do storage fee's hit for November?2 points

i'ts been this way for a year. if you click on approval it asks you to upload invoices. hit cancel. this is the reason why i didn't buy any of these for resale. probably a good idea to go through and add all the sets you plan on selling on amazon early with placeholder in case a gate comes down like sandcrawler.2 points

You can always go back in time in 2019 and fix this problem, if it becomes one. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Brickpicker Forum mobile app2 points

With just over 3 weeks left before end of year and the way the deals have been this season, I feel like someone will look at their sales goals for the year and just shout out "F@&* IT" and push that super deal button.2 points

Exactly! When the (perceived) value of a LEGO set far exceeds the enjoyment someone has in actually building it, then the Lego stopped being a building-set and became an investment object. The purpose of an investment object is to keep it in pristine condition with the purpose of selling it in at a future date for an increased price. When the Taj Mahal set was a rare set, people coveted to HAVE it as an investment object, believing it would increase in value over time. That made the demand for it. Now that 10256 Taj Mahal is available for everyone, there aren't actually that many who genuinely want to build and display it.2 points

yes much better for us all to wait and sell at the same time at the same price. what kind of market would that be? besides you can still find spaceport's on the shelf at legendary mom and pop pharmacy, right? next to the shelf full of 10667's i'm guessing.1 point

I'm surprised you guys consider this "good", I am personally disappointed with its performance. When these were available they were discounted along side the deep sea fishing boat which is pushing 220$.1 point

There are other examples of this. Assault on Hoth (75098) was released well after the run of Force Awakens sets (e.g. 75105), due to delays I believe.1 point

My theory would be that Disney knew that the live action B&B movie was releasing March of the following year (2017), but the set had already been developed/designed well prior to the intended release. Why not withhold the release of the set until its more relevant in culture while not hogging shelf space. Frozen will continue to remain popular so I imagine they went ahead with that release.1 point

Today’s TV spot is very spoilery. You’ve been warned.1 point

cool - i still got some ground to make up in the play money spousal investing game. i put my money in lego and hot wheels. my wife put her money in bitcoin... and a tesla. ok - ready for Town Hall to go to $20K now.1 point

When people complain that lego "investing" is dead and then I see these comments , I know I am on still doing the right thing.....1 point

Volume should stay strong through the week of the 18th. The drop off should start sometime mid to late that week. Volume has been a bit steadier this year than last with fewer peaks and valleys.1 point

Your right, why would you. If you keep doing that even 6 times a year and keep reinvesting in stock you will do very well. GL1 point

But look at BTTF now. I WISH I would have bought more than the two I picked up. I sold both over a year ago for $100 cash via CL. These WoN will just be a long term hold. I only have two anyway, so I’m not worried about funds being tied up. If I had a warehouse full, I might be singing a different tune.1 point

My First Order Transporters 75103 have been flying off the shelves the last week. I knew I shouldn't have left any for LegoMan1212 when they were on clearance for $28 at Target this past summer ?. Sales have picked up nicely these last two weeks and reaching the Top Rated Seller in the last month probably didn't hurt me either. Good timing!1 point

There will be little to no interest in The Beatles Yellow Submarine when it retires so there's no reason to continue to discuss it & certainly no reason to purchase any.1 point

Smyths cleared out the castles for £30, when the buy in is low even turds can make money. Hell i've even made money on the 1 and only Rebel Combat Frigate i've bought. That in itself is a miracle.1 point

I accept your opinion. I have just wanted to show that Beatles can have big potential and have some advantages in comparsion with WallE. Even the fans from Beatles age are old, they have still a lot of fans and it is a legend, maybe the biggest music legend. Its a Star Wars in pop music :-) WallE is just 1 movie from many similar. But the lego world has its own rules and even a bionicle or elves set can have bigger grow than a perfect AFOL set :-)1 point
