  1. I didn't see it reported above but sorry if its a repost: Amazon is running a buy 1 get 1 50% promo on 20 sets. The full list can be found here. Brings some of them, like the End Portal, to around 50% off. https://www.amazon.com/gp/promotion/ATBNIYA9E0B1M?ref_=plp_pc_dp_imp_ATBNIYA9E0B1M

  9. And you are still wrong. Bring ‘em on. I like this series much more than series one, and collectively more than any 2017 series.

  10. Same thing happened with AoH before it came out. Honestly though, reviews before the set’s release are stupid and I don’t blame them for removing them.

  11. Yes, QFLL are pouring in. But there is no excuse for listing your five at $47 when everyone else is at $50. That's eBay mentality...

  13. That's a nice idea, I'm going to skip this deal though. I'm looking forward to the post Christmas sales so I'm happy to save the money until then.

  15. I don't think I have seen anyone post this but Shopko has a online sale of $50 off a 200 order live till Dec6 with the prom you get free shipping. Currently there is not much still there but it may be worth a look. With it you can get 6 at-St for $25.4 each. I personally got the 75182 for around 14.5 each.

  19. There will be little to no interest in The Beatles Yellow Submarine when it retires so there's no reason to continue to discuss it & certainly no reason to purchase any.

  24. Lego Technic 42054 Claas tractor has become available without limitation again, after first being limited and having been 'retired' for a few weeks. 13th of November 2017: 28th of November 2017: 5th of December 2017: @Alpinemaps these kinds of 'retreats' happen often and are arguably relevant for investors. I think it's difficult for you admins / mods to think of a handy method of showing these developments after retirement (if so desired) but perhaps you have a plan. In final I'd like to say that I really appreciate the energy you're putting in streamlining this thread and making it more user-friendly.

  25. You are struggling to choose a discounted set to get a free battlepack. Perhaps try bulk on the battlepacks? They can be had in various sales for £5-£6 average during shelf life. Desirable ones sell easily for £20 and sometimes more once retired. Endor, kashyyyk and elite clone have all done very well for me. More volume/work but returns are good, easy to pack and gets the feedback up fast.

  30. Bought a 1st edition 10179 on a local site. Complete and in great condition with stickers unused, certificate, manual and box and all for £800 cash. The bottom of the market has well and truly dropped on this one. I’m starting to think that maybe I should have drove for a harder bargain. Hope many don’t still have minty new sealed versions of this set, hoping that we will see those previous prices

  31. I am skeptical on Dimensions for investing purposes, but if you want it for yourself - Tough to go wrong with this deal: $35 - Warner Home Video - LEGO Dimensions Bundle: Fantastic Beasts Fun Pack, Lord Of The Rings Legolas Fun Pack, Harry Potter Team Pack & Fantastic Beasts Story Pack https://www.amazon.com/Warner-Home-Video-not-machine-specific/dp/B01N8YNWWX/ref=sr_1_2?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1512309976&sr=1-2&keywords=lego%2Bfantastic%2Bbeasts&th=1

  33. 2 stores were at 50% on Saturday. A 3rd was at 60% off today. None of them had much tagged for clearance, as has been the case all along near me. Did get an Ender Dragon for 60% off before points plus a couple more off-roaders to hit the $10 back threshold.

  35. I saw few sellers from Zgorzelec/Gorlitz (border City between Czech, Germany and Poland) with ridiculous large quantities available, highly likely they get their sets from Kladno as well as WH in Germany. I Know "Kladno capabilities" .. trust me, its virtually just next door. Its impossible that they would get it somehow "officially" (i mean truck loads). Each employee is awarded among other incentives a certain (limited) discount that entitles him to buy .. umm. let say 10-20 average sets (1000-2000 pcs) per year at half a price. You cant steal anything from the factory - not even a single brick that fell on a floor hardly an entire box.. so they have to have their source elsewhere.. I have come across truly disturbing facts that while the ppl in the Kladno factory itself are guarded like prisoners (more or less), the 3rd party Logistics partner with warehouse in other part of "greater Prague" obviously not.. and that might be where they could be getting their loot from.. I mean.. if an avg employee buys something at 50 % of local RRP, he certainly doesnt sell it to you at the same price - where would be the profit? now these Logistics ppl.. if they are willing to sell the same set for 35 % of the local RRP.. I think everybody comes to the specific and exact explanation how did they land their hands onto it..

  36. you forgot about additional storage fees which specifically increase around the holiday season. amazon doesn't let your park stuff in their warehouse for free. coming up with a selling price is multifactorial equation which includes buyin that you can never fully know what your competition buyin was , understanding that the sales volume is here now and that you could sell 10x your sales volume if you are able to compete on price, not when your price gets here and that after the holiday season, most overstocked sets on amazon take a price hit even further than what they are going for now when there is drop in sales volume/demand that won't recover until tax refund season and people need to move inventory so they don't lose profit to storage fees as well as have cash on hand for after holiday clearance. 86 sellers on raptor rampage - that equals too much price competition. still the price has risen 20-25% in the last 3 months because of great demand. 106 sellers on 75094 - too much competition to expect any price increase. seller count was in the low 90s back in september. look at juniors police helicopter chase - a set that was clearanced for $5 back in may at walmart.com 50% off msrp - i posted it in daily deals. now only 8 7 sellers (dropped as i wrote this) under the main listing on FBA. i can't keep them in stock - they sell instantly for buybox which is $29.99. 6x my buyin with so few sellers of a set that has a high sales rank, then you can set your price and sit back. not so much with more than 6 dozen or over a hundred sellers with a relatively lower sales rank set. there you have to compete on price to make a sale. the price on this set literally rose by $10 while i was editing this - now only fba seller is $39.88. time to send some more in.

  40. Yep. the Lego suits are now forcing buyers to purchase another couple of items to get the free shipping (more revenue). Heck, they got me to buy 5 of these to use a small gifts for my kids to give away as presents to the neighbors' kids. Putting reselling aside, I think many buyers are happy to get another crack at getting this set cheap. I'm sure there's also a bunch of people who didn’t know this set existed last year. As long as it stays out of non-Lego stores, it's still somewhat special. The reseller in me is disappointed.
