Sellers who cancel your item and then relist at a higher price with no reason or explanation other than lack of availability. Had someone do that to me on Amazon this weekend.... I was going to leave them negative feedback but the item completely disappeared from my order details. The details page, the invoice, everything was changed so that it appears to me as if it was never ordered. The nice lady on Amazon's end says she could still see it and how much I paid for it (I can figure it out because I have the original email with the total).... so when she offered to file a report against the seller, I hesitated until we figured out they listed it for $5 more ($35 vs $30). After accounting for the price difference and now having to pay shipping for just the one item, it would only be $9 more ($5 for price, $4 more for shipping) but still.. FU to that seller so they can make a couple extra dollars. I hope this messes up their holiday season metrics.

We all know the 3PS comission is a tiny portion of their revenue stream. Forcing the 3PS to lower the prices keeps the appearance of Amzn as the best place to shop during holidays

or they know about a remake. or they have 50 and they don't want to be toy planet selling all of them once. sell a slice here, sell a slice there. 75094 is a great set but the hoped for demand just is not there based on the sales rank numbers and the current seller count is over 100. the set was on a 40% off permasale. its doing as expected. i always load on an extra few clearance sets just before EOL to sell short hold set into the bump to boost cagr, keep cash flow even from month to month. it took 3 months to sell 4 sets into the EOL bump. that's not good. the price has gone steadily down since the summer with the worsening glut of sellers. so yeah you can tie up $200 capital on 4 sets for another year and hope to make $100 more in a year maybe or take the 30% profit and capital and put your brain to work coming up with a better investment where there aren't 100something star wars fans sitting with 40-60 in their storage areas. until this set loses half of its sellers its going to be under $180. ecto1 is suffering a similar fate. this is not the graph of a 2017 winner. this is the graph of a 2017 winner. 75094 will probably end up doing like palpatine's arrest which took several years to sell through the permasale stock and is now poised for rapid growth.

Yeah, I have made a special list for jacknuts like Toy Planet. When I see them at the lower price, I drive them down to their limit and hold them there until they sell out. And while we're ranting, I can't get over the number of sellers who just have no idea what they're doing in LEGO. I've got 10 75094 in the warehouse and will end up selling them in the $120s because the sellers are too stupid to realize this is a $200 set. The rest of mine ain't going in until the price appreciates substantially. And that's just one example. There are numerous sets that would sell significantly higher if the sellers would get out of their own way (75920, *cough*). And yes, I know everyone has their own reasons for selling, but if you don't understand the economics of a genre, then you shouldn't be selling in the genre. Losing out on 30-40% profit due to ignorance is not a good reason.

I dunno man, $30 or $41 for an $80 set if you just want one for yourself seems a bit like splitting hairs I'd just pull the trigger.
