I'm sorry that I haven't been active lately on the site, but I am finishing up a major renovation of my business and I haven't had time to poop. I am thankful for a day off today! Anyway, enjoy your turkey and have a fun time shopping later on... Ed Mack

  18. If you can sell the freebie for $25 then it is a similar deal; however, I always consider the better deal the upfront cash price and not having to sell anything.

  43. Got the 42043 Arocs for 26% off at 199.99$. Amazon display the list price at 215.99$ with a 7% off of that. Don't know if it's a good deal, but for me it is since I was looking for this set for a while. It will be a keeper for build.

  47. Yeah, first few pages are classic BP over-optimism, probably justified by how the market was performing at the time and the spectacular appreciation of the previous flagship red truck. People talking about buying a closetfull at well below RRP, encouraging others to do the same and praising how good the set was. Check back a few pages after retirement and it´s mostly doom and gloom, except for those who flipped their discounted sets and moved on to better things. Lessons for all.

  48. It´s slow moving from an investment standpoint. Sales are much better than Chima or a number of other sets - just not good enough to be a desirable keeper with all the hoarding now going on. One thing to be aware of is that if no new Simpons items come out, it could signal the end of the license and we could get a Hobbit like situation where recent releases go along with the older stuff. If nothing more is announced by the summer, I´d say the line will be pulled in winter 2016 which would fit in with a standard 2.5 year shelf life. (1.5 for KWEM)
