  1. Anyone else slightly discombobulated by just how bullish Tabby is on this, it just feels wrong
  2. Anyone want this from Lego SAH with 2xVIP?.... ;-)
  3. I retract my previous statement, it has arrived.
  4. I think I missed a few recent holidays?? . Oh well double points, with 2 Freebies. Thank you sir may I have another.
  5. borderline inappropriate if you say it out loud. where's billy bush when you need him?
  6. Built over a span of a couple of months as I'm pretty busy with work, but I am happy with the outcomes. Picked up the houses in a used local lot and really like all three. I wish the current line of Creator Houses were more similar to these! My wife even suggested on her own that these would be neat to put together into a town set up one day, so that was a win. I picked up the Detective's Office back in July when the Snowglobe and Piggy Bank were stacking. I was up in the middle of the night waiting for news on our puppy that was having to have emergency surgery, and it was definitely an impulse buy as I figured I was blowing an estimated 2-4k on the pup, whats a little bit more? Had a lot of fun building it and am impressed with some of the details, its a lot better in person than I gave it credit for before I bought it. Puppy turned out just fine as well...(the underwear she ate, not so much) A post here led me to that deal, and while I always appreciate the lead on discounted sets for resale, I'm always super grateful for the good deals on sets for personal builds, thanks all!
  7. This and Activisions Stampede were my 2 favorite games. 3 Hours on this game I think the person playing would Crack.
  8. Sweet. Just ordered a Saturn V for my wife. Double VIP points, VIP store promo set, and chick suit dude. Sweet.

i have one order that is still processing however one of the items in that order was delivered yesterday. it was a set that i just included in that one order. also it seems rak shields you from the tru ban. i used my main email that was banned long time ago at tru and it worked just fine.
  11. Hey peoples, just checked Target AU website, NASA rockets available as of Thursday morning. Doesn't seem to be any buy limits, free shipping and normal RRP. https://www.target.com.au/p/lego-reg-ideas-lego-reg-nasa-apollo-saturn-v/60881885
  12. Got my UCS MF today @ the LEGO store. Produced 2017/10/09. Anyone notice what is missing? *sigh* Employee had to walk me to my car using a hand truck so I wouldn't drop it. Now the real question is, build it or sell it this Christmas so I can buy another one during the next double VIP points event... decisions...decisions... Oh, and the store received a shipment of Saturn V's as well. It was hard to leave them (esp with double VIP pts) but I figured I should be thankful my wife is on board with me getting the UCS MF. Ironically, on my way to the LEGO store, my wife called to ask why a large box with LEGO arrived. Hard to explain my Rakuten UCS Snowspeeder while en route to spend $800 for the UCS MF. I figured I should count my blessings instead of pushing my luck with such an understanding and loving wife.
  13. Thanks, finally got one on 2xVIP. Website was throwing an error, again, so had to call to complete the order. The lovely lady on the other line offered a 10% discount and free next day shipping for my time. $107 with 2xVIP and free easter minifig, Yes Please!! edit: reviewing my receipt and another nice suprise. i come from a heavily taxed state and it appears it was left off?! Never does anything cost exactly what the price tag says. Except today!
  14. If it doesn't show up in the emails, CALL the Customer Service to get it added. That should resolve the issue. I find that their CS is amongst the best I've ever dealt with.
  15. You should have in your contract a clause stating your distributor agrees not to sell those items on Amazon itself, or at the very least they have to provide 3 months notice prior to selling so you can sell through or an agreement that they buy back all of your merchandise at cost if they start selling on Amazon. If not, you will next time This is why Amazon is going to have a monopoly within 5 years, and why we keep buying Amazon stock, and why we keep diversifying and adding new skus every week: https://www.amazon.com/b?ie=UTF8&node=17285120011
  16. Gift cards working again on LEGO Shop at Home.
  17. Another great thing about Activision games was if you hit a certain score you would take a picture of it and send it to Activision and they would send you a patch for that game. Most were pretty easy. My son has a bunch of them.
  18. I'm not looking to get out, but if someone shows up at my door w/ enough cash - it's all yours.
  19. Amazon, Target, Lego Store, all in stock...
  20. A guy on the arcade forum I frequent loves kaboom so much he made his own cabinet
  21. Time to crack open my $15 one.........
  22. My son and I finished up 70626 Dawn of Iron Doom today. Fun build. I really like the robot snake creature. It’s going to be raining havoc on the Halloween Town.

Am I the only one who spins to save time when driving?
  24. Mine are all Lego too. But after you won, I changed them all to $200+ sets. Lol
  25. If paid full price, probably or a little bit more. However, with brickolodon's magic + VIP points (or coupons elsewhere) + CC points + stackable promos, etc, I'm sure the wizards here have their ways of turning $5 into $50+
  26. This was a concern for me, and it actually ended up better than typical packaging.
  27. I think @TabbyBoy touches on this point, as a big change is that timeliness is more of a consideration, including with the flipping / arbitrage. Sitting on a retired set and expecting it to go up forever is not realistic - if you're sitting on gold, just sell into hype and reap a comfortable profit rather than getting greedy. Keep that capital flowing with a positive margin and you're in a good spot. There are a ton of examples within the past few years for sets that rose modestly, then dropped off again. Parabolic was mentioned. If a set is high and there's a good margin, just take the money and run, even if you're not on the top of the curve. No way to know that. Things don't just accrue into skyhigh oblivion, especially when remakes, new huge lego sets, fakes, all provide ample competition with each other. There are more sets than ever to chose from, both new and old, and that's not changing. I don't think that's a sign of doom - making lego more available than ever is a good thing for its popularity, but devaluing brand via over-expansion is a concern too. Lego is a toy, and most lego is seen and bought as toys, which do not make good investments whatsoever. You probably shouldn't be hoarding friends, city, uniconic star wars sets, for RRP... some of the pics I've seen, those scare me. Not all lego goes up or sells. Some things are solely parting out packs for bricklink stores if you get it on sale. And that's only if you don't value your free time and enjoy scoops of pennies and nickles. There are so many lego sets now, you really have to chose wisely, or for good sales. I buy basically nothing at RRP, and only buy a few times a year when the deals or pickin's feel right. Stack points, wait for deals and sales, whatever. Oops, don't mind me, just accidentally authoring misplaced speculation bubble posts ?
  28. they dont have Lego factory nearby so they are happy with their promotions, we dont have insane wallmart deals like them, simple as that

  32. I was able to get one in-store yesterday with the VIP bag.
  33. That was a good grab from rak
  34. 33% off a set that is call to check availability. nice.
  35. Available at Target. Limit of 28 per order.
  36. Good luck with the sale, I think most people (myself included) drastically under estimated how much time and effort it takes to sell lego (almost a second job). I still love lego, I get excited reading about what the next big AFOL set will be on this forum, but I have spent way to much time on this veture. I learnt the hard way that you should always value your time, as you miss a lot of real life when you spend all your free time researching / reselling stuff.
  37. Local store just got 15-20 in. They said I'm in the next batch so wooo
  38. The next person that posts an order status update here will be beat with that beef jerky that was displayed a few posts back.

  40. To one buyer, 3 complete sets of the Christmas Ornaments (850850 Santa, 853574 Snow Hut, and 850949 Reindeer) that were on sale for $2/each on October 1, along with this year's full price $7.99 Snowman. Total buy-in, $44.50, sold for $101.85
  41. Cannot like this enough. R1 was the best Star Wars movie since Empire Strikes Back. Yes there were fan service moments but they all made sense given the connection to New Hope and were generally not intrusive. Force Remakens was such fan service that they recreated a movie people loved rather than try to do something different. I was really enjoying it solely on account of the more adult tone compared to the prequels and the earnestness of the new actors right up until the Death Planet appeared on screen. At that moment I felt my stomach sink as I knew exactly how the movie would unfold. I laughed at that scene where the resistance dude replied to the comment about the Death Star by instantly bringing up a picture of the Death Star compared to the Starkiller to show how much bigger the latter was - like he has that file handy right there 30 years later just in case. It's not copying because it's bigger dammit!!!

What sort of method are you using to sort by.... that pile looks like a headache to me! I would use your minifigures, or instruction manuals if you have them, to identify which set numbers are highly likely to be there (certain figs or printed parts will be unique to a set etc). Once you've got your list of sets you think are included, sort the identifiable assembled chunks into their respective piles.... anything left over you can't identify, dismantle. Then dismantle everything in their respective piles as well. Then use a tool like Brickstock, or a wanted list on Bricklink to create a list of the full inventory of the set in question..... then pick through and remove items from the list as you find them. Whatever is left over at the end are your missing pieces for that set. There's a bunch of work in the identification process and the dismantling process, but once you get to that point, putting the parts back with their sets is a relative breeze. I like to sort by colour and just dump a colour out onto a tray, I'll pick for multiple wanted lists at a time to speed things up.
