I went on a road trip to 4 different Kmart's in SoCal, 3 of which were offering an additional 50% off clearance and 1 was offering an additional 60% off. (Interesting note: the store with 60% off clearance had actually been remodeled in the last few months, and was by far the nicest Kmart I've ever been in. Brand new decor, signage, and even the register stands. Looked great) I had a bunch of SYW points and some discounted gift cards, and was able to combine with the free polybag promo on my purchases. Ended up doing this: getting $35 worth of clearance merchandise, then using $5 off $35, + $5 back and free polybag ($3.99 value). NOTE: the free polybag had to be overridden in each transaction. add a gift note and gift receipt to the item so that they have to put it in a box.

you should! in my opinion the most valuable type of points to have (some would argue that Chase rewards are more valuable). literally converts to any type of reward currency (hotels, flights, etc.).

Not my week. Finally got my first polybagged box from Kmart. Crushed. Like my spirit.

Built over a span of a couple of months as I'm pretty busy with work, but I am happy with the outcomes. Picked up the houses in a used local lot and really like all three. I wish the current line of Creator Houses were more similar to these! My wife even suggested on her own that these would be neat to put together into a town set up one day, so that was a win. I picked up the Detective's Office back in July when the Snowglobe and Piggy Bank were stacking. I was up in the middle of the night waiting for news on our puppy that was having to have emergency surgery, and it was definitely an impulse buy as I figured I was blowing an estimated 2-4k on the pup, whats a little bit more? Had a lot of fun building it and am impressed with some of the details, its a lot better in person than I gave it credit for before I bought it. Puppy turned out just fine as well...(the underwear she ate, not so much) A post here led me to that deal, and while I always appreciate the lead on discounted sets for resale, I'm always super grateful for the good deals on sets for personal builds, thanks all!

Does anyone need any of the batman sets? I can pick up say 3 or 4 if anyone wants to buy a group of them to make it worthwhile. Happy to do it for cost plus extra to cover time the round trip to get to the store and back and the package up / postage. Probably makes more sense for those in the UK like me. Ordered a Saturn V from TRU last week since I had a bunch of gift cards that I wanted to use just in case. So it's been a week and no ship confirmation. Literally as I'm questioning how long it's been since I ordered, I get an email saying my order has been delayed, was not shipped and they don't know if it will ship at all and that in 30 days I'll get my money refunded. Was pretty bummed since I haven't had much luck finding one in stock anywhere, and wondering how getting my gift card values back will go. Then and hour later FedEx pulls up and delivers one Saturn V from TRU to me. WTH TRU?? Maybe this is why you are losing money!

RE: investment. I'd probably take it outside the context of the popularity of any movie based sets. This is just a great standalone build that would fit in well with pirate ship's. A detailed design rather than crazy ott design of seacow. I guess it really depends on how long its around for but I'm optimistic. Put it this way, I'm no ninjago fan but this was a day one purchase for me.
