  4. Just a heads up, I've got $20 in unexplained freecash on seemingly any purchase (without coupons) right now on both my account and my wife's account. It doesn't show up in the list of Surprise points offers, just hanging out there in my cart. Probably better just spend it quick, right?

  9. What we have here is failure to communicate, some sets you just can't find, so you get what we've had here today. Which is the way Lego wants it, well they gets it. I don't like it any more than you......

  10. Meh, I'll see what unlisted sale prices may pop up tomorrow. 15% off is barely better than the current 2xVIP and freebies from LEGO LEGO Shop at Home

  19. Holy moley, what a day .... First my Grand Emporium win (no email from SYW yet), then 2x $26 in free sets, and to top it all off I used the 8% EBay Bucks promo combined with my EBay Bucks certificate plus the TRU 20% off flash sale to complete my daughter's Christmas LEGO wishlist. And it is only just noon EST. Tally so far: 8 LEGO sets "bought" for $22 out of pocket (which all went to the TRU sale via EBay). Still have $25 in SYW points left

  22. Are you referring to this particular screen? If so, I’ll see what I can do as I just checked the API specs again and it does indeed support country-specific price guides. I may just add a configurable toggle in the settings menu.

  23. There's only been 5 creator landmarks hasn't there? They can't have run out of ideas already. I could understand an architecture version.

  24. Or because they already have all the sets, albeit at a slightly different scale.

  25. Lame if true. Many other landmarks are worthy before past ones start being recycled. Or maybe Lego is just dead set on destroying any shred of collectability the classic sets have left.

  27. Ugh...really? I don't think they really needed to blast us Greedoly with the fact that this is a Han Solo story. Could have been a more intriguing title like something with Smuggler or something along that line. I just see this logo and immediately think of...

  30. I nominate this post for the post of the year. If there are any new BP's out there I encourage you to break apart each sentence and repeat it over and over again. I'm getting flashbacks of 2 years ago when everybody was falling all over each other trying to grab The Tumbler. After my 70+ Saturn V's I got, two days before the release date mind you, I'm not touching anymore. As I've said ad nauseam I was grabbing Imperial Hotels at $86 each while everybody was paying full MSRP for The Tumbler and the IH's have a better ROI. Sure we don't know how many resellers are hoarding this set but seeing that there are now 64 pages to this thread in less than 5 months is telling. Now I have no doubt that I and many others will be making money on this set, but like I said I'm not buying anymore. I'm in the process of buying hundreds of 3-4 sets and none have not been talked about on this forum for months and I'm confident they'll allbring a better ROI in a shorter amount of time. My point here is the point I've tried to make many times on this forum, don't follow the heard. Breakout a Excel spreadsheet and punch numbers into a calculator to discover the undervalued sets that nobody is talking about. You will quickly get ahead of everybody else.

  32. I highly recommend the book/movie Hidden Figures if you want to learn more about Women at NASA especially the contributions of black women. They could have included a lot more minis if they wanted. PS I am the one who edited the first post, stay classy folks.

  33. Doesn't surprise me. They probably want to reissue it without much redesign to include generic pilots rather than TFA characters.

  35. Wow you brought back some memories by saying the black pearl brought you into lego. When my son was younger, he was having issues with attention and following directions. I did not like the idea of medication and one day I was in walmart and saw a lot of lego black pearl on clearance for $50. It hit me for some reason that maybe building lego would help train him a little bit to sit still and follow directions so I bought it even though I thought $50 was expensive for a bunch of plastic. Well, we built it and had a great freaking time doing it so I went back and found a lego queen Ann's revenge for $50 and bought it too. That started our lego addiction. A couple years later I stumbled across the lego black pearl on amazon somehow and almost ruined my pants when I saw how much they were going for and stumbled across this site trying to figure out why lego was worth so much. And since, this has been my favorite website. And my son really benefited from lego....or he realized how he easily could manipulate me easily into buying a ton of sets:) Also, even though we don't sell.....yet, it hurts like he'll to think of how many black pearls and queen Ann's revenge I passed on. If I saw them today for $50, I would arm sweep those MFERS!

  37. Talk to your friends, some of them will think it is fascinating. Some of mine think it is hilarious, others think it is dumb, and some are still pissed their parents tossed theirs out. It's similar to board game playing. I just started asking those I knew if they like strategy board games. Found 3 others and now we have a board game night once a week. Nothing better than getting out of the house, play some games, drink some beer and relax with no kids around.

  38. I come to you with a story of sorrow and elation. I was saving up for what was supposed to be my most epic 14-day Sweeps points total ever. $48.69 in points, all from Sweeps. $4.77 expiring today. Pushed for one more $1 bonus Sweep at 8pm EST, didn't get it. Noticed that the points total in the Win It! App had suddenly dropped to $43.92. Panic. Ran upstairs to the computer on which I had a shopping cart with $10 off $50 coupon standing ready. Still showed $48.69. Raced through the check-out screens. Lo-and-behold, I managed to check out and now have $0.00 in points and paid $1.39 for a $59.99 MSRP set (Christmas gift for my daughter). KMart Order confirmation screen surprisingly showed 3 coupons (hasn't done that for me in months). One of them a $3 off $30 coupon which I thought was useful. Clicked on the "Print" button which gave me an empty 2 page document. When I returned to the page it, I was greeted with a "this page has expired" screen. A reload resulted in a screen without coupons. No coupons attached to the emailed order confirmation. Sadness ...... Main lesson for all of you: Don't push your expiring points to the last minute on the day they expire. SYW giveth and SYW taketh.
