Just a heads up, I've got $20 in unexplained freecash on seemingly any purchase (without coupons) right now on both my account and my wife's account. It doesn't show up in the list of Surprise points offers, just hanging out there in my cart. Probably better just spend it quick, right?6 points

What we have here is failure to communicate, some sets you just can't find, so you get what we've had here today. Which is the way Lego wants it, well they gets it. I don't like it any more than you......3 points

Meh, I'll see what unlisted sale prices may pop up tomorrow. 15% off is barely better than the current 2xVIP and freebies from LEGO LEGO Shop at Home2 points

No. The model maker uses various pics from the web for background box art. This was discussed on Rebel Force Radio 2-3 weeks back.1 point

Holy moley, what a day .... First my Grand Emporium win (no email from SYW yet), then 2x $26 in free sets, and to top it all off I used the 8% EBay Bucks promo combined with my EBay Bucks certificate plus the TRU 20% off flash sale to complete my daughter's Christmas LEGO wishlist. And it is only just noon EST. Tally so far: 8 LEGO sets "bought" for $22 out of pocket (which all went to the TRU sale via EBay). Still have $25 in SYW points left1 point

Thank you ! I used it before it disappeared, then had another $6 FREECASH appear after that purchase. It just show up, again with no minimum purchase required.1 point

The mechanics in Mos Eisley are that bad. Why do you think Obi-wan needs to hitch a ride with Luke and then Han? His European made ship is off warranty and in the shop. You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy.1 point

I have now looked into the LDD files for both stands. Actually, both models are about the same wideness. As to deepness, first version is only 3 studs deeper. Version is considerably taller and it does impart a much steeper angle for displaying the falcon, requiring near 60 additional pieces in comparison to the first version.1 point

The Solo movie could indeed very well end with Han and Chewy being stuck at Mos Eisley to get repairs done. Similarly how Rogue One ended right where A New Hope started. That would be an excellent reason to do a new Mos Eisley Cantina set, though without the Dewback minifig and other details. It would be a different angle at the Cantina for sure.1 point

Wow Lego are really going to do this, have they ran out of landmark ideas already? I guess they want to put an end to any theme being collectable. Tower of Orthanc may become the rarest large Lego set in another 10 years time ?1 point

Finally got around to picking up the UCS Snowspeeder. I knew i'd love it, but just couldn't justify picking up without some promos/double VIP. The Snowspeeder was probably my favourite SW vehicle as a kid, i remember bringing one of those Action Fleet Snowspeeders everywhere as a kid. Also going from building 75192 to this was almost laughable. Only 1 bag per step!? what is this a juniors build? ? Guess i'll never again think a set takes too long to build after 75192...1 point

I'm (trying to be) out of the reselling craziness, but went to Walmart and found a Friends Advent Calendar on clearance for $14.00, but rung up for $5.00. Good present for my daughter at a price less than an overpriced Starbucks coffee.1 point

Given how women centric the BBC has become I expect this will be the first news item on the News at Ten when it's released1 point

I nominate this post for the post of the year. If there are any new BP's out there I encourage you to break apart each sentence and repeat it over and over again. I'm getting flashbacks of 2 years ago when everybody was falling all over each other trying to grab The Tumbler. After my 70+ Saturn V's I got, two days before the release date mind you, I'm not touching anymore. As I've said ad nauseam I was grabbing Imperial Hotels at $86 each while everybody was paying full MSRP for The Tumbler and the IH's have a better ROI. Sure we don't know how many resellers are hoarding this set but seeing that there are now 64 pages to this thread in less than 5 months is telling. Now I have no doubt that I and many others will be making money on this set, but like I said I'm not buying anymore. I'm in the process of buying hundreds of 3-4 sets and none have not been talked about on this forum for months and I'm confident they'll allbring a better ROI in a shorter amount of time. My point here is the point I've tried to make many times on this forum, don't follow the heard. Breakout a Excel spreadsheet and punch numbers into a calculator to discover the undervalued sets that nobody is talking about. You will quickly get ahead of everybody else.1 point
