All done! Took a little more work than i thought to put on all the panels again and adjust them to be as gravity proof as possible, some trial and error with a lot of things. The stupid LED cord wasn't long enough, so i had to move it around inside and run the wire up through a different spot (oh and i painted the wire ;)). The mount itself isn't perfectly level (even though the holes i drilled are) guess this is just the construction of the mount itself in that it bows a certain direction for whatever reason, maybe it's just getting old? Still some things i need to play around with, but nothing that will be really visible, so this is as good a time as any to share the finished product. Just realized i took these pictures with the mount swung the wrong way, the MILF is indeed centered with the TV and not strangely off centered The mount can be placed flat 2 ways, got it placed flat on the wrong side for these pictures. Right above the tv! perfectly visible spot, as i said it does center with the TV, mount swung the wrong way for this shot. As with 10179 i keep these LED's on 24/7 pretty much as basically the nightlight for the living room area. We also change the colour based on the season, so it will be Orange for Halloween One of the things i still need to fix - making the falcon more parallel to the wall. As you can kind of see here it's leaning a bit to one direction. Just need to loosen the swivel and adjust, but easier said then done as you do need 2 people. Landing gear can be removed if you'd like, but i keep it on, plus it also acts as a support against the wall. Anyways overall very happy, looks better than my 10179 did on the wall. That vertical stand has been floating around built of Technic pieces which would probably be much easier than this, but that would still need a shelf or something to sit on, and i don't have the space to do that, so this was really my only option. Other option would certainly be a lot more stress-free haha, i'm still cautious of something on the mount failing, and any odd creaks/cracks makes my eyes dart towards it, but it should be fine just as 10179 was. So that concludes this log, hope you enjoyed!12 points

Yeah people are quick. :-) I will say they did one other cool thing at Brickcon, which I THINK might be thanks to Chowren Toys but I am not sure. They had volunteers giving out random tickets, and when you left you got to trade it in for a small set for free. Was quite a nice surprise - I assumed it would be a small poly or something. My daughter got a $20 Rapunzel set though, and my son picked up a 3-in-1 Creator set. Was a nice bonus, especially after my daughter had lost a minifig I bought her that she had for about 5 min before dropping somewhere lol.5 points

I nominate this post for the post of the year. If there are any new BP's out there I encourage you to break apart each sentence and repeat it over and over again. I'm getting flashbacks of 2 years ago when everybody was falling all over each other trying to grab The Tumbler. After my 70+ Saturn V's I got, two days before the release date mind you, I'm not touching anymore. As I've said ad nauseam I was grabbing Imperial Hotels at $86 each while everybody was paying full MSRP for The Tumbler and the IH's have a better ROI. Sure we don't know how many resellers are hoarding this set but seeing that there are now 64 pages to this thread in less than 5 months is telling. Now I have no doubt that I and many others will be making money on this set, but like I said I'm not buying anymore. I'm in the process of buying hundreds of 3-4 sets and none have not been talked about on this forum for months and I'm confident they'll allbring a better ROI in a shorter amount of time. My point here is the point I've tried to make many times on this forum, don't follow the heard. Breakout a Excel spreadsheet and punch numbers into a calculator to discover the undervalued sets that nobody is talking about. You will quickly get ahead of everybody else.3 points

I'm (trying to be) out of the reselling craziness, but went to Walmart and found a Friends Advent Calendar on clearance for $14.00, but rung up for $5.00. Good present for my daughter at a price less than an overpriced Starbucks coffee.2 points

Destiny's Bounty and a few more sets back in stock - just ordered DB with the $25 Masterpass discount... $169.99 -$25 + local taxes (free shipping). It may be cheaper down the road, but I'll take it for now (27.5% discount off RPP). Another great option with this discount would be the Star Wars BB-8 set which is back in stock at $109.99 - perfect for the $25 off $100+ Masterpass deal (giving you approx 35% off RPP).2 points

By the same rule of thumb, why would Lego retire it early?2 points

Agreed. This set will be available throughout 2018. I'm convinced of that. It's a waste of money to buy this set at RRP now and have your money stuck for more than a year from now. I do agree that after 21309 officially retires it will be an iconic Lego set that will keep growing in value in the years after. Maybe slowly and gradually, but still. This set will go down in history as one of the very best sets EVER made by Lego!2 points

No, just no. I think the NASA sets are awesome,. While I don't find this set that impressive, it's better than I though it would be, probably due to the packaging, and seems to fit nicely with the Research Institute.2 points

I highly recommend the book/movie Hidden Figures if you want to learn more about Women at NASA especially the contributions of black women. They could have included a lot more minis if they wanted. PS I am the one who edited the first post, stay classy folks.2 points

Looks amazing! Almost seems like this could be rotated to be a practical light for the room, but looks amazing as it is. Great job!1 point

There's a Dutch Lego reseller site listing this at €26,95 --> https://www.speelgoednl.nl/lego-21312-ideas-women-of-nasa So I'm guessing the price will be somewhere between €24,99 and €29,99, depending on country and exchange rate.1 point

If anyone is placing an order at shop.lego, I have two codes from Brickcon for a free Lego shop minifig when you spend $35. Only valid in US and Canada according to the fine print. I think this is the poly they did a while back. First two PM's get the codes.1 point

Fantastic box, great set. I like that much better than the approved submission. The little shuttle build is great. Nice part out potential - the Margaret Hamilton one recreating the famous picture of her will be quite popular in the tech world.1 point

One will be built by me and put on display with my other Lego Star Wars sets. The other box is going to an ex-colleague who is a Lego Star Wars fan. Not making any profit there, but just making another AFOL happy. Which means that both boxes will be opened, and two less NISB sets available on the resellers market.1 point

pretty good deal on jet.com for LEGO ELVES Ragana magic shadow castle. 1 for $53.87 before any jet.com magic. 4x for $52.71 each before jet magic. msrp $99.99. ~48% off MSRP online is pretty sweet. limit 7. amazon pulling up lame at $58.39 for the same set. this set might be around for another year though it was clearanced at walmart which usually presages retirement. water dragon's for $11 but limit 2.1 point
