Yuck. Lego website is awful. Shows errors on every page and the checkout screen never finishes (visually) submitting the order. But, the order gets submitted anyway. Four promos right now, if you spend $25 on friends and $50 overall. Cave set, tic tac toe, lloyd, and the new friends keepsake box.6 points

Finished this cool little set over a few bathroom breaks last week . Bought it mainly because it looked "ok" and for some reason it was cheaper than others in the 20OFFLEGO sale last week (discounted to $10.49 before code vs $11.99 for other Speed Champions set, so picked it up for $8.39+tax - 44% off), but after building it and putting it with my other cars it steals the show. I think it's the whole color combination that makes the car look so awesome. Definite recommendation if you're into Speed Champions.3 points

Volcano Helicopter 60123 - $25. Happy enough to move another one of these. Not as big of gain on it like you usually read on here, but that's $25 more towards the $800 Falcon It's the little things sometimes.2 points

Tonight I finished building the UCS Tie Fighter. The 30276 poly bag was my first set in twenty years and it was cool to replace it with a proper Tie Fighter. Time to hang more shelves!2 points

Code: BDAY20 gives you 20% off one item - most larger Lego sets NOT included, but it works on Ninjago Destiny’s Bounty, bringing it to $159.99. Not sure if this larger set has seen any discounts yet. Note that today (Oct 1st) is the last day for this code.1 point

On Thursday, September 14, the LEGO Group gave its VIP members an opportunity to purchase the LEGO® Star Wars™ Millennium Falcon™. We are thrilled by the positive response to the set, which is the largest we’ve ever released so far. We can assure all our fans around the world, that we are doing everything we can to make more sets available and keep our LEGO builders happy. This set is currently sold out and will remain exclusive to VIP's at least through November as we work to meet consumer demand.1 point

Can confirm the order submits and gives 4 promos even though it errors out. Additionally, even if your pre-tax total is $49.99, the full 4 promos get added. And, even if less than the $49.99 is in Friends sets, you still get all 4 promos (didn't work with a $11.99 Friends set, but did work with a $39.99 Friends set combined with $10 in ornaments). EDIT: So all 4 promos show up on my Paypal confirmation and on my "order status" screen (and all are already "in warehouse"). But not on the receipt of my order which I just got in my inbox. Hmmmmm ....1 point

To be fair, though, the article doesn’t say “majority” it said what their total debt is, and then focused on the meat that people want to know - what toy companies are owed. It doesn’t make an interesting read to know TRU owes something like $3B to JP Morgan (I think), from loans. And I’m sure there’s a lot of real estate and shipping costs they owe, too. Are they splitting hairs for eyeballs, though? No doubt they are.1 point

Hello all! Sorry if this is posted in the wrong place. I'm hoping to get some information about an old lego set of mine. I got the lego Death Star II set from 2005 back when I was a kid, I want to say it was 2005 or 2006 but I'm not sure. Either way, I built it, but I always liked Star Wars more than Return of the Jedi, so I took the second half off, bought my own extra parts, and built out the 'finished' death star from the original film. Somewhere along the line I torn it down, and packed it up in boxes. The original unfinished half of the death star II was disassembled and sorted into my collection (I think mostly into my 'grey' bin), and I'm going to collect all of it to see what happened. I'm here because I'm getting out of legos more or less, and since I found out that the death star set is considered worth something, I wanted to know if it was still worth something given the changes that I made. Is a 'converted' Death Star II worth comparable amount, or will buyers more expect to get the complete original? Likewise, are the sets more desired in a built or an unbuilt form? Either is fine, I just figured I would make sure. Thanks for any info, and I appreciate any responses.1 point

@Darth_Raichu I thought you encapsulated what I felt pretty well. I watched that video though, and I feel pretty much the same way. I don't want it to fail, so hopefully the first "real" episode of the show will be a good hook.1 point

http://www.chicagotribune.com/business/ct-toymakers-toys-r-us-bankruptcy-panic-20170928-story.html "In total, Toys R Us owes $7.5 billion to a group that includes virtually every major toymaker in the country: Mattel (owed $136 million), Hasbro ($59 million), Spin Master ($33 million), Lego ($32 million), Radio Flyer ($12 million), Crayola ($2.6 million)." " A spokesman for Lego, which has been weathering its own financial troubles, said the company is "deeply engaged in ongoing dialogue" with Toys R Us as the companies try to figure out what's next. Others said they were consulting bankruptcy attorneys and financial advisers to sort out shipments — and payments — related to holiday inventory. VTech, the maker of electronic toys and tablets, says it expects holiday sales to Toys R Us "to decline." Meanwhile, a handful of smaller companies say they have already severed ties with the world's largest toy store chain. "1 point

Simple, it is not what was described, and the seller made no effort to protect the item, entirely their fault. No returns mean - "I have changed my mind", it is nothing to do with "item not as described".1 point

just because it's in production doesn't mean it will be easy to acquire in bulk. it's been in production 4 months already. demand is no where near met and that can't even offer any to sell. definitely that's more than 10% of its life has passed by if you were to say that the set was going to stick around for 38 months which would be a long production life. how many more 10%'s before you start to get worried that you hadn't been stocking quite possibly the coolest lego set of all time for afol? also if you read between the lines, emazer's is hoarding saturn's to the point that he's on the phone with amazon telling jeff how he'd like things done.1 point

Wow. This might be one of the craziest deals I ever found. I just left Savers (a goodwill type store). Found a big bag of Legos marked $9.99. I had a 30% off coupon, so I paid $7. I wasn't sure what was in the bag, but it was big enough to be worth it to me. Looked like a lot of white and blue so I was assuming some kind of city police stuff. Didn't see any minifigures so I was a little disappointed, but I saw a some numbered bags so that's cool. I got in the truck and open it up. Start pulling out all sealed bags. Lots of white and blue. Oh look, an instruction manual. Woah. It's a freaking UCS R2D2! All bags present and sealed. Instructions never opened.1 point
