1. Well after getting through all 8 films and trying to work out which was the bigger mistake in the prequel films Jar-Jar or Hayden Christensens wooden acting, I finally finished the mighty Falcon. I've no idea where it is going to live until I get my man cave but it was definitely worth every penny. Next up will be to sort out some lighting. Plenty of room behind the engine tubes for led strips and the rear left compartment has plenty of room for a battery box. I don't care what price these get to before Christmas, I'm glad I built mine.
2. Watch at about 0:06 in the video... On the right-side, in front of the Duplo set, we can see a brick-built toy-soldier in the typical Christmas promo packaging! Looks like another promo WINNER again!
3. Wow. This might be one of the craziest deals I ever found. I just left Savers (a goodwill type store). Found a big bag of Legos marked $9.99. I had a 30% off coupon, so I paid $7. I wasn't sure what was in the bag, but it was big enough to be worth it to me. Looked like a lot of white and blue so I was assuming some kind of city police stuff. Didn't see any minifigures so I was a little disappointed, but I saw a some numbered bags so that's cool. I got in the truck and open it up. Start pulling out all sealed bags. Lots of white and blue. Oh look, an instruction manual. Woah. It's a freaking UCS R2D2! All bags present and sealed. Instructions never opened.
4. I made a better screen grab to see more detail: Set number can also be seen in the video. It's LEGO set 40254.

6. Won a 10019 Rebel Blockade Runner on eBay, with the vague title no one else bid. With the low price, and $3 shipping charge, I started to sense it was going to be a scam or bootleg bricks wrongly listed. I went through the sellers sold listings after a few days since I hadn't received a shipping notice, noticed he had sold the exact same item, with the exact same pictures, a week earlier for much more than I paid. After that my scooby sense was really tingling. Reached out to the seller just with a vague request for a tracking number. Within a few minutes the eBay app notified me that it was shipped and a UPS tracking number was added. Still wasn't convinced it was going to arrive. Have had many non shipments from sellers when they didn't get what they hoped for the item. Got home yesterday and there were two giant UPS boxes on my doorstep. Not only did it arrive, but he shipped it assembled. The engine in one box, the rest in the other. Must have cost a good chunk to ship two boxes half way across the US, and really ate into the payment he received. Now I'm caught trying to decide do I keep it because it was such a steal, or sell it for as much profit as possible. It was never a "must have" for me, just tossed the minimum bid up with seconds left and surprisingly no one else was watching it.
7. "When I think back to my childhood and recall all of the times I wanted to see a wolf riding a flaming motorcycle . . . well, I just can't express how deeply a toy like this resonates within the subconscious of 6-8 year old boys. At $6 it's a real bargain and you will be the hero of Christmas."
8. Have you ever seen a nutcracker?
9. I don't like it. Free stuff is good, but for Christmas I always expect promos that fit into WV. By the way, LEGO is sooo stupid I cannot believe it. If they made this to be an actual limited edition Brickheadz, with a series number and everything, that could boost sales much better. The collector's would definitely purchase something just for the sake of getting it.
10. The AFOL eye sees all Much much better than the 24 in 1 promo like 40222...bleh!
11. Just got 10217 Diagon Alley, and 4842 Hogwarts, used and (hopefully) complete for £215 delivered. I get to build a couple of great sets and double my money afterwards!
12. Looks like Toronto stores got a healthy restock of over 10 each this morning, currently 5th in line
13. This is ravenb99 we're talking about here. Stores get stuff FROM him

15. I spotted a used R2-D2 10225 on Ebay for $150 + $3.96 shipping. It's the best deal I had seen in a bit and was able to snag it about 20 minutes after they posted it. $150 was my upper limit for this set, so hopefully it arrives and is correct and complete.
16. I’m still paying off the CC from the last round.
17. This markup over the last 2 years doesn't make much sense, and I think as we saw last year Lego's profit margins dropped quite a bit. I suspect it will be even worse this year. Before the new Star Wars films came out, some of us were saying that there would be a burn out phase starting around the 3rd film release, and sure enough we are beginning to see it. Even at that, i'm only buying two sets from this lineup. I'll eventually pick this up for my son, and i'll get Kylo's Silencer, but I really want to wait for the movie to see how important these are in the films. I have noticed few of these last jedi sets are flying off the shelves, and I think many of us are waiting for the prices to drop 30% or more before we even begin to bite.. If I were to rank this launch i'd say Resistance Bomber > Kylo's Silencer > BB8 > Gorilla AT-AT > Finalizer > Weird Spider Walker Mathingy > Half Pod Hopefully the winter wave of Last Jedi sets have something more interesting. A Luke Skywalker mini would be nice...
18. The real Atari died when Nolan Bushnell sold it. I like my Atari boxes better anyways...

6 months it's game over. Better flip ASAP To quote this guy from Wall St: "No, in ten minutes it's history. At four I'm a dinosaur!"
21. I tried to find a good .gif for "selling out the back door", but most of the hits returned were of Farrah Abraham. Not the back door I was looking for...
22. Well, I sold all four of my Gingerbread Houses on Amazon FBA for $709. Missed my goal of paying for the MiLF with free Lego, but close!

24. They r using this info to help with their new receiving process. A lot of the weights in the catalog are inflated by mf sellers to get a greater shipping credit. As the new receiving process means a lot of missing units the accurate weight will allow their software to know if items got lost in the warehouse and need to be found or if the fba seller really did shortchange the shipment. This is a good thing as lots of units have been lost with their new and faster receiving process they put in place about 2 months ago.
25. I took my $5 and never looked back

27. Really fantastic! Congratz
28. If you do click and collect, then select pay in store the promotion is automatically applied at the checkout, and the cashier would have no say. It makes no difference when the order was placed in this respect. As for getting them to match the price at time of ordering ive done it a few times and never had a problem.
29. Is my dementia getting worse or did we not get a very similar set last year? maybe moustaches are like MF satellite dishes.

Ebay 40139 Gingerbread House $99 shipped. Prices keep falling but hey, still not too bad...
31. I got one on back order in New Zealand and it was shipped on the 21st, so they are slowing progressing through the orders from Europe at least.
32. this is a Joker-Land on steroids. I totally see how most kids will love it though. Only problem are 1) kids can't afford it and 2) i doubt many parents / grandparents will spend $270 for it. It's too costly. Thus it will sell like , Joker-Land (even that had to be heavily discounted to move stock), Assault on Hoth and 1966 Batcave (all were dust collectors).
33. Too busy doing his night course on influencing people.
34. Boxes are in too good condition.
35. By watered down I meant there are just too many sets. I believe there are 18 sets not counting CMFs, polybags, and this new Joker Manor. This is on top of any super hero Batman sets out now. They are all good sets for the most part but with so many it's tough for one or two to stand out. Where is the investment winner in this line? I thought the target set had a chance but it's hanging around too long. Jurassic World had 5-6 sets? Most have been winners. I know that's not a lego movie but 18+ sets is Star Wars territory. Lego Batman ain't Star Wars.
36. that's odd that was in July's wave. Course they like to stagger them throughout the country now. Next wave is below. Few others like Turtle and another one I can't remember at moment. More of the recirculation of poly's already available other places but a few neat ones. Santa should be B&N / Target again like last few years.
37. We haven't posted in 18 hours! now resolved
38. All - if you are reading this, I worked out a deal with clintonjoseph about a month ago on a few sets. He was very reasonable and the transaction was very smooth. He threw in a bonus with the package and I'd like to believe this Savers deal was karma returning the favor back to him. This kind of deal couldn't happen to a better guy. Congrats! I'm so happy for you!
39. Um. ok . you win. And if you want to make a huge profit let me know. Been wanting to build this with my boys.

I started working some concepts in Google SketchUp, and then moved to Lego Digital Designer. I estimate total design time was about 50 hours. I wanted to generally match the design and proportions of the lighthouse in the cartoon, and yet keep it minifigure scale. About 50 hours of design, just under 2000 pc, and just finished. I hope you like it.
