Someone posted a pic of 4 Falcons stacked in a corner on LEGO's Facebook page claiming that he'd be selling them when they're retired for 8 times the purchase price. Should someone tell him?

disagree. there have been plenty of flash >50% off amazon sales all summer long i've gotten because of max profit posts. max profit is a slightly different version then the running header that used to be at the top of the daily deals thread. and at least max profit is always posting on topic in the daily deals thread.

Well, my call to Customer Service paid off (I was frustrated, but very nice to the guy, I figured his day was going pretty bad regardless). After receiving the cancellation email yesterday morning due to payment error, Brian in CS was very helpful and said the system was crazy all morning and he was sure it was an error on their part (it was - I used the same shipping address and credit card I have used for years). Went into "In Warehouse" status yesterday afternoon and just received a shipment email with tracking (fingers crossed). New plan: finish selling last three Gingerbread Houses on FBA to cover full cost of MiLF. Sold one already for $219.

People make a big deal about Max Profit. It can be ignored. The reason it stays here is because 500+ users follow this thread. If I remove it from here, then I have to tell hundreds of people to go elsewhere when this is the deals thread. It's not going anywhere, so ignore it and then don't complain about it. Those that are complaining about it are making more of a mess of this thread than Max Profit is. The script runs every 3 hours. Removes all previous posts and just leaves the latest and greatest (1 single post). For each of those that complain, there are plenty of others that send a PM, email, Facebook message that say..."thanks" Max Profit will be improving and also be integrated into other features that may eventually replace this part here. So have patience. Maybe one day some of you will find use for him, but for now, do what works for you, ignore him and have a happy day. This is the end. If you want to PM me about it fine, but don't waste anymore time here in this thread.

As a business owner for 25 years, you want to always appear busy. Who wants to go to a business that is never busy? People assume there is an issue, poor service or price problem. Perception is everything. You want to be the business that people say..."Hey, that place is always busy!" Apple stores are the best example of this. Eighty Apple employees make every store look busy....LOL

I agree. This is the ultimate "showcase" set and will be an excellent marketing tool for LEGO. As for the demand for this set, nobody really knows except for The LEGO Group. It's hard to judge demand off of a few uber LEGO fan sites. LEGO's constant supply and website issues are either pathetic or planned. I don't think it really matters either way. This is a statement set and even if it loses money, it's a winner for LEGO.

If it were the latter, they would have a functional website AND inventory control. They can generate the same buzz without turning people off because they refuse to come into the 21st century with regards to server infrastructure.

Mine shipped this afternoon. Lego was quick. It's a big boy : 28.4 lbs and 23x20x17 my 10179 weighed about 25 pounds shipped.

My daughter used her Irma-induced day off of school to finish up her 41130 Friends Amusement Park Roller Coaster. Her Friends mini-city is now complete with hotel, houses, sports park, all the amusement sets, and several other random things (like the news van and an entire jungle section...ha!). She really likes the amusement park, but of course wishes the roller coaster was motorized.

Just because the demographics of a population change, it doesn't mean your product becomes more desirable to any one group even to those that are growing. We're not talking about Depends here, we're talking about something that has been viewed as a TOY for 60 years. Potential buyers does not equal actual buyers. I just think it's too risky for a company with declining numbers. I know we're a small voice, but we are knowledgeable and many people around here are advocating for less products not more. At a time when LEGO needs to hunker down and be better at what they do, this is too risky and potentially very costly. Seniors are typically on the lower end of disposable income as well .. LEGO isn't cheap and would be viewed as a luxury by many. Adult coloring books are a much cheaper, more popular option and with less "toy" connections.

One of my great triumphs was this. Bought huge load of Lego on craigslist for $60. Clearly from the couple photos, it was worth more than $60. After several hours of work, ID'd a good 8 sets that were in there. Downloaded instructions, sorted minifigs, circled some parts that were in there. Took better photos of my documentation, listed set numbers, stated the risks involved, and included photos of some sorted parts. Sold it all on craigslist for $400 to an empty nester guy who spends his evening sorting Lego.

I agree with rolibamirez dont need amazon price updates max profit should have his own thread it makes the daily deals thread unimportant and I rarely even check it even more where I used to check everyday every few hours for new posts from members...now it always says recent post by max profit and I dont waste my time for the meh 20-30% off regular price constant deals on amazon...These prices are just the going rate online at all retailers nothing special...Make Max profit its own Amazon current price thread and leave the daily deals to relevant posts members want to read...If all we want is amazon prices then we would just go to amazon...

A great morning for me. Rolled up to the mall about 5 minutes before it opened. Ended up third in line. About 15 minutes later a horde came in and lined up. Sold my spot in line for $200 cash to a late arrival who showed up about 45 minutes after the mall opened, and made it to work on time. Guy just walks to the front of the line and says "$200 to whoever is willing to sell their spot". An instant "I'll take that sir" before anyone else could think about it. There may be some peed off people in line behind him now, but that's his problem... not mine. Was buying this to quick flip locally... made out quicker and faster than anticipated.
