Buy in was AUD$17.20 each (AUD RRP $30). Profit per item has ranged from AUD$13 - AUD$30 due to eBay FVF discounts and postage discounts.

Actually, the First Order Snowspeeder is in the movie, all be it for about 2 seconds. You see it in the background when Rey and Finn enter Star Killer Base just before Han is killed. It being in the background would have occurred just after a weird snowspeeder chase scene which was cut, as you said.

Examine the selling history of this set - Anyone looking to accumulate them at these prices deserves what's coming.

I'm not mad at this set. I bought three, all at MSRP and directly from Lego SAH. I got some kind of freebie with each, but I can't remember what exactly. I sold two for $260 each, and each during an eBay promo where I only paid $5 in fees. After paypal and shipping I probably cleared about $60-70 total profit. Definitely nothing to get excited about but It means that the cost of my personal copy (that I really look forward to building some day) was about $140 before factoring in the VIP points and freebies I earned, and that's okay with me. #notgreedy

well now I really want them to change my name in the system to QF LL I probably could get it done too, that would be iconic...

the new falcon. I am excited about it. I am thrilled what it looks like. I cannot afford the old one. the newer one looks more detailed to me. I am happy to pay $800 to get this one and I do not care about its collectible long term value and what I can sell it for. I want to build it with my family and enjoy it. as a toy. I think there will be many people like me. yes things could be improved better or this or that but bottom line is I am thrilled and glad they released it. Yes I buy sell lego. this set is not about that to me. it is about fun. that is new thinking I know.

Maybe should have held on for xmas or seen if i could get more but meh ebay had a max £3 selling fee offer on, and any profit on a freebie isnt to be sniffed at IMO ☺ will help buy a palace cinema for personal build for me and gf.

If the Parisian Restaurant retires this year I'm loading up. IMO it's one of the best modulars and a 2017 would result in only a 3-year lifespan.

I think that all depends on how it sells... They remade 10179 due to DEMAND (as shown by activity and pricing of the old set). Plus it's now Disney branded. I would say that we have the Death Star to look at first. This is a better scenario as the Remake is substantially better than the original in my opinion. The Death Star obviously saw almost no change and was primarily just a rebranding by Disney. If they go on to remake that on top of it being rebranded then I guess our answer is that we should expect another Falcon sometime

I do not understand why does the theme need to define the quality of the set. The price point is very good as the set is large. Who cares what is written on the box, LEGO is about the build. Speaking about AFOLs, 'adult' means that they are supposed to have the brain capacity not to be influenced by the branding in choosing which set to build. You say yourself that it is an 'incredible design and likely interesting build'. If you think so, then listen to yourself, buy it and enjoy it.

Finished. Well I guess I need to see the movie as there is a lot of build here that I have no clue what it is. Besides being an amazing display set, it is very busy and seems to have something different to look at each time, there are some awesome modules that have great detail on the inside that you do not see unless you take them apart and explore, like Lloyd's apartment that just looks like a plain yellow building from the outside and the comic book store. It is not your classic Ninjago set and I still think ToA is my favorite in the theme. It is also not a classic Modular where you build one floor at a time, rather you build separate modules that attach to make up the floors. I think they did a great job of recreating the city from the movie using new elements, elements in new colors and existing elements in new ways, but will have to wait to see it. I am going to add the Ninjago green dragon 70612 tonight and some lampposts from the city chase 70607 should be arriving Monday. You get a lot for $300 with over 4860 elements, 16 minifigs, sweep and 2 suprise figs that are part of the build.

Level 1 "The Old World" bags 1-6 completed. It has 2 removable modules and is mostly flat colors to give it that rustic look. Lego still can not produce dark brown in an instruction manual properly so that you can easily discern what element needs to be used.

For anyone that wants to have a look, I'm never actually going to finish this review. So, here's all the build pictures and the jokes I came up with for it. Spidey: my webs are a super strong polymer that is flexible and adhesive, but breaks down within a few hours so that the city's not just constantly covered in webs. Plus, it's cherry flavored, so can double as a snack. Cap: That's very impressive son, but for now we've got to finish this truck. Hawkeye: Unless you can spin a truck out of that stuff and save us the time to build it. Spidey: Uhm, nope? Spidey: Hey, you guys want to hear something funny?
