Hey moderators is there a way to have tabbyboys current feeling on this set replacing the poll at the top? Haven't been on in a minute so catching up on this and for a week every other page is a post from him saying how he's going to buy 3- 1 to open, 1 to keep, and 1 to sell after retirement to help pay for the others. A few hours ago he changed that to only buying 1. Then a couple hours ago he changed that to maybe buying none. Maybe his opinion could be on the ticker on the front page?8 points

Opened my store the other day and heaven forbid, got an order. I'm set up for Paypal Onsite right now, I'm assuming it works just like someone sending you money through Paypal? I have used it on the buyer end, but obviously not the seller end. Still adding parts, but happy to be on the grid.5 points

Finally got ahold of my most wanted set, now I can get to work on my Halloween display with HH, VC, all Scooby sets, and the Simpsons house going to make a cul du sac with them full of trick or treaters (every minifig I have that looks like a costume) PS: if you need two Chima clocks still in box, I've got a deal for you.5 points

I hate people every day...Then some people surprise me and give me hope. On the missing pieces...now it really looks bad. LOL3 points

Nah, and it would not make sense to do it either. People have the misconception that purchases with VIP points are free. No, they are not, you have already paid for those points. If you pay with those points, all it means is that you paid for the set in advance over time. Since if you buy a set from LEGO the price is this: cost of set + VIP points. With basic VIP, when you pay $20 for a set, what you actually do is that you buy a set for $19 and $1 worth of VIP points, which you can spend later. (You are actually depositing money at LEGO on which you do not earn any interest hahahha.)3 points

Found a TMNT Lair for $10 at WM. Box beat to hell. All was there and my 4 yo was ecstatic.3 points

So I took a local visit to the Lego store. Figured I'd post a few pics. Haven't had a chance to read through the thread but the Lego employee told me that essentially the new Lego VIP card will be given out with each Falcon purchase (New OR existing members) It will come with special promotions throughout the year focused primarily on Star Wars Legos. Your existing card and membership will still work. Kind of a cool concept.2 points

Who sells LEGO? I thought we were just supposed to horde it...2 points

I'm waiting to pick this up with a discount at some point. It's just too expensive in my country to justify buying at RRP. This decision is not at all influenced by my wife.2 points

As George once said. "I'm going down with the ship." I bought a very nice used 1st edition 10179 a few years ago for $2500 because I had to have it. I'll wait to buy the 75192 at a discount or 2x VIP. When bought it will look great next to the 10179 whenever I get around to building either of them.2 points

Star Wars geekism sinks to a new all-time low as people debate the merits of a spaceship´s rear end.1 point

All rear ends Aside....If the 75192 hadn't been released....most that don't have a falcon would be looking at brick linking boat masts and radar dishes worth $800?Anyways....so might as well get 7,538 more pieces??? good thing those little Grey levers weren't remolded...lolol1 point

Yeah Will that's the thing.... the issue is that it's a "display" piece if we were buying a "play" set it wouldn't matter One of Lego's biggest Positives over ANY other brick building manufacturer is their Translucent piece Quality they produce...it's clear, and when lit Properly the Product Sparkles and glimmers(which is why most lego store displays look so dang good, and a big part of why L3PiN bricks and others Suck) ...it's too bad really, to release this like they did and not take advantage of those 60 pieces of eye candy ...so I figure after this is bought...it doesn't look to hard to modify with a few 300 pieces or less....and that's a bare minimum to make it look as good as a 10179 rear Build.1 point
-
I think it's funny how it's difficult to find rear profile pics of this 75192 ...unless you go visit the store and take a good look at the display. and I know you see it in that follow up trailer lego released....but heck...it's all lite up CGI style candy coating the reality that we are getting a lazy non brick built Engine with Translucent tubes. ??although I shouldn't be surprised ....this is the same designer that gave us "assault on hoth"75098 so not impressed with their "biggest set ever" selling point when clearly this is a cut corner and for what?...to save piece count?..lolol if you are putting out over 7500 pieces and sticking us with $800, I say go big or go home wTF1 point

These sell at a decent clip for a set of it's size on Amazon here in the US. I don't have a lot of faith in the price, but to say "no one wants it" is just wrong. It's a classic case of oversupply--a victim of the gold rush to LEGO investing.1 point

I applied for a job at Sam's Club late last night, and got an interview and the job the very same morning shortly after I woke up today. I'm only 19 and an off and on college student who's been unemployed most of the past year so this is a big deal for me.1 point
