Hey moderators is there a way to have tabbyboys current feeling on this set replacing the poll at the top? Haven't been on in a minute so catching up on this and for a week every other page is a post from him saying how he's going to buy 3- 1 to open, 1 to keep, and 1 to sell after retirement to help pay for the others. A few hours ago he changed that to only buying 1. Then a couple hours ago he changed that to maybe buying none. Maybe his opinion could be on the ticker on the front page?

Nah, and it would not make sense to do it either. People have the misconception that purchases with VIP points are free. No, they are not, you have already paid for those points. If you pay with those points, all it means is that you paid for the set in advance over time. Since if you buy a set from LEGO the price is this: cost of set + VIP points. With basic VIP, when you pay $20 for a set, what you actually do is that you buy a set for $19 and $1 worth of VIP points, which you can spend later. (You are actually depositing money at LEGO on which you do not earn any interest hahahha.)

Found a TMNT Lair for $10 at WM. Box beat to hell. All was there and my 4 yo was ecstatic.

So I took a local visit to the Lego store. Figured I'd post a few pics. Haven't had a chance to read through the thread but the Lego employee told me that essentially the new Lego VIP card will be given out with each Falcon purchase (New OR existing members) It will come with special promotions throughout the year focused primarily on Star Wars Legos. Your existing card and membership will still work. Kind of a cool concept.

I'm waiting to pick this up with a discount at some point. It's just too expensive in my country to justify buying at RRP. This decision is not at all influenced by my wife.

As George once said. "I'm going down with the ship." I bought a very nice used 1st edition 10179 a few years ago for $2500 because I had to have it. I'll wait to buy the 75192 at a discount or 2x VIP. When bought it will look great next to the 10179 whenever I get around to building either of them.

I agree. There will be creative people that come up with a solution for this. LED lights back there will look awesome. Marshal Banana's engine design was very cool and set the standard IMO.

It's so beautiful in the cockpit area and I suppose there would have to be a trade off piece wise to build out the rear (I imagine to do it right would have been another $50/$100) I would pay extra to have the rear correct as well. Maybe there is a market for "Redesigned Rear-end kits" lol Yes she just dumped it on me lol. That's what I was most interested to learn as well. So they are HAND MADE in Germany and will come shipped after the set has been purchased according to her. It's sort of a beta test. She said if this went well they could see additional cards for Technic and / or city in a similar fashion.

Super weak. Hopefully there's another set for the Black Friday weekend.

I got one by being first through the door at LEGO Store on Friday. I'm good. Just observing at all the stores my wife drags me to on her quest for discounted school supplies. She's hoping for a lot of cheap backpacks. I get bored and wander over to the LEGO

Amazon's LEGO catalog is getting all messed up. I don't know if Amazon is doing it or if it's some dipsh*t seller. I've seen this happening with other sets, including Black Gate.

I think that after the 41999 mess they have deliberately avoided limited editions.

Yeah, who doesn't remember the continuous production runs of Red 5, Pet Shop, etc... but with all the new movie releases and especially the compressed time frame between Episode 8 and the Han Solo film, they are going to have to do away with sets now to clear space. Think about it! The last jedi wave just hit... 3 more months, we got the winter wave coming that has about 15 sets. Then a few months after that is the Han Solo movie wave of 5 sets. Are they going to ramp up production runs on sets from Rogue One, the Force Friday Force Awakens wave, or the old winter waves from 2016? No.

Just finished 6753 Creator transporter. Bought for €26 (postage included) on done deal (local ad site)..main build is shy 6 parts (5 of which I have in spares). Bargain buy IMO and I expect to flip at a profit once the kids have had some fun with it

You know, 2 Ninjago movie city and 2 temple would set you at $3 USD cheaper. You could be building these two at almost 11,000 piece count with the same price. Granted, it's the falcon. Still... Tough one at $799

Set is fine: seller rank is good, supply is limited, only thing to be hesitant is TRU got a boatload here of that set and it is really hard to get a decent discount here, like 35-40€, so I will pass on this set.
