  5. I haven't tried to check out, but right now LEGO LEGO Shop at Home is showing the Travel Suitcase free with any purchase (shows up with a 3.99 CMF), which stacks with the free Build to Learn pack at $35. A few minutes ago it stacked with the free Iconic Cave at $50, but now it is showing that the Build to Learn and the Iconic Cave stack at $50. Not the hottest promos, and certainly doesn't compare to the stacking Bank / Snowglobe of a few weeks ago, but two Promos is always nice.

  9. Is it safe to say that this officially brings the Golden Age of Lego investing and reselling to a close? Between the remakes and all the counterfeits of large sets and the over saturation of resellers you could argue the golden age may have waned a few years ago. However 10179 exemplified the possibilities of reselling and investing and now that it's poised to be replaced with a bigger , better , newer version it would seem the star is coming back down to earth. Oct 1, a new age dawns. I'm excited for this set but at the same time sad to see our star finally burn out .

  13. I agree. I've never had any issues with it, and I don't have to worry about knowing export rules or international shipping rates. I've heard that others have had some problems, but it's been fine for me.

  19. @fuzzy_bricks checkout the Jang video above that @Val-E posted. That is what I am talking about it doesn't blend in well with the other modulars IMO and it is not a classic Ninjago set. I still plan on trying it with MS on one side since it has the open market area that the water may blend in with and can even add a few trans light blue 1x2s, and GBHQ on the other side for the height. Also I want to see how it is in the movie as I most likely will go that way I can not get to those sets at this time because the table they are on is blocked in by hundreds of lego sets I will probably never sell

  20. Agreed, the boxes for this set have already been printed and with no image leaks seems like they are keeping tighter control. Perhaps this set is only being produced at plant S and/or O. I am sure if it was being produced at R then @boliramirez would at least have a set of MINIFIGURES by now and possibly some images. And if was being produced at the new china plant then pre-sale would be available from the counterfeiters.

  22. Guys, what if this has all been one big diversion campaign, there is no new falcon, and 75192 is actually a toddler-scale pod racer. So bogus bricks will be just as flabbergasted as us when LEGO shocks the world with the real set. We've been smeckledorfed.

  23. 70% through Ninjago City what a great build, possibly my favorite of all time. Taking my time, 3 nights so far and catching up on some old movies while building.

  24. I built the Yoda Jedi Starfighter and Darth Vader's transformation the other day and today my daughter built the Ninjago movie Green Dragon. For her birthday she got a variety of LEGO and that was the one she most wanted to build.

  28. These were available at Target for $50-55 for what seemed like forever. I remember texting a Brickpicker friend "think we'll regret not loading up on these at this price?" I grabbed a few, should have bought a terry dozen.

  29. While I am getting closer to releasing a long overdue update to BrickPicker, now is a good time to release some content that I was hoping to release with the updated site. @belljohn has been talking with Ed and I for a very long time and has spent a lot of time in creating a series of Brickvesting videos that he is happy to share on the BrickPicker YouTube Channel. I am hoping to see this expand this into a bunch of different topic series and welcome any of you that are interested in working on some videos to reach out to me and we can work on it. Set reviews, investing tips, set builds, etc. It's not easy to speak for ~15 minutes, but Brook does an amazing job covering this topic. We will be publishing more videos soon from belljohn. We hope you enjoy it. Who knows, maybe soon you will see Ed showcase his amazing words of wisdom in video. That will be a real treat. View full blog article

  33. FYI, the "frustration free packaging" that was on the main listing a few days ago meant that the Saturn V shipped in the original cardboard Lego shipping case, 1 to a case. Arrived 10/10, it's a keeper.

  38. Here is my one hope for this set: I hope all the hype over this set before and after it's release (and its presumed scarcity) overshadows some of the other newer sets like the Saturn V. That way, consumers will spend all their time thinking about the MF and shopping for it and won't spend time looking for other sets. That = $$$ for us! It would be cool if the MF was a well done model, but there is no way I'm dropping $700 on one.

  39. *logs on and gets excited for a bunch of new 75192 posts* Thread not going where I expected lol. Work bonus comes Sept 15, so this is great timing as it's probably the only time during the year I won't get a complete eye roll.

  40. If it´s a mint original numbered set, residuals should still be well above RRP. Normal NISB will continue to drop in value to around RRP of the new one, or a little below. A lot will depend on how many nervous sellers flood the market in panic. Anyone who bought one for more than RRP and hasn´t sold it yet is going to be in that category, will they hold their nerve and stick it out? How many of them are still out there unopened? Used sets or ones with missing parts or manual/box will be the hardest to sell but there will always be a good part out value as a safety net.

  43. I like the "investor" angle on this. Taking that angle further, what about: - Limited Editions. Perhaps you can review a list of special editions, either very limited in run # or first series limited editions like 10179 ..... - Smallest Themes. Review small, short term themes like Scooby, Lone Ranger, Spongebob etc. You could do a top ten list of those - Most valuable themes. Review CAGRs by theme. .

  46. According to a German Lego-Blog, a store-employee let slip a few more details, mentioning the weight of the set to be about 15 kg ( 33lbs), making it again a good deal heavier than 10179 (11kg with box and instructions) https://www.promobricks.de/lego-star-wars-ucs-millennium-falcon-75192-karton-soll-15-kg-schwer-sein/39573

  47. I've been wondering why the price of these has been so low on Bricklink; I'm glad I checked this thread. There are some great parts in this series for resale. The female hair has been a steady seller for me: I'm buying Harley Quinn to stock up on her valuable bright pink hands. It's forced me to find creative ways to move those torsos:
