  1. I'm in the complete opposite situation from most...I'm the wife who wants this! And I don't plan on asking permission...
  2. Oh the joys of being a recently divorced guy with no kids. I don't have to explain or ask permission for jack squat. I can throw money down for this and be proud of it and not have to worry about a nagging wife hahaha. In your face!!!!!! haha jk guys.
  3. I don't have to ask for permission, but my wife doesn't either. That's a whole other issue... [emoji856][emoji857][emoji24]
  4. *logs on and gets excited for a bunch of new 75192 posts* Thread not going where I expected lol. Work bonus comes Sept 15, so this is great timing as it's probably the only time during the year I won't get a complete eye roll.
  5. Came back from a few days hols with no Lego brought. 4yr old was itching to build with me so I pulled out a 2nd hand 5867 creator speeder no one wants to buy off me and modified it for left hand drive

Ninjago lighthouse siege 50% off https://www.amazon.com/LEGO-Ninjago-70594-Lighthouse-Building/dp/B01CU9X65O
  7. Stumbled upon a Jurassic World Raptor Rampage 75917 at a local Toys R Us. It seemed out of place since the series has been off the shelves for months. Scanned the thing and it came up at $0.03. Shocking deal.
  8. No expert here... but I think this is one of those questions you really have to ask yourself... "What is it worth to me?" I'm not sure you'll really find a consensus here on the value of this item in the next 24 hours. For me... I dunno... I might give $350 for it? With a new one coming out, this is just another old, used Lego with missing figs.

modified spidey bridge to fit trains. I don't have much room for a straight incline ( 4 ft on both sides) so lots of work ahead.
  10. My experience is that once girls get through the 'this is geeky' subconscious barrier, they become more obsessed than me. A good friend of mine, an outgoing girl, asked for a Death Star for graduation. I feel the world is finally becoming a good place.
  11. Finally got around to finishing up the Porsche! Life gets busy!
  12. There are optimum windows to sell and this was has now passed. It'll never reach the £5K mark again & if this new version is an improvement on 10179, then I don't see why anyone would buy this, unless at a huge discount.
  13. The simple solution would be to either mention you charge for shipping on your terms page, or raise your minimum buy in. You can lose money on an order with no minimum. That $1.00 minifig would've cost you about $0.45 in fees. More if you don't buy your labels from PayPal.
  14. I am an old, beaten down married man with a brat seven year old...What do you think?
  15. Currently with a new one coming out, I wouldn't even touch it. Unless I can get it for less than $400. Just my opinion.
  16. What is this long term you speak about? It is the same one people mention when they tell me good things are going to happen to my Benny´s Spaceship?
  17. Finished Ninjago City going to try and add 70612 green dragon to it tonight.
  18. It all started with one of our fish having babies. We separated them in a breeding tank for a couple of days. But that was not enough....my wife and sons teamed up on me and begged for a bigger tank. Next thing I knew...we had decided to not only get a bigger tank, but also decided exactly how we wanted to decorate it. We love our Lego displays, and this was just another creative way to add to the collection. What the hell...right?!! Great build! Very fragile! Great display piece!
  19. Having now built this, it's no wonder why Lego haven't released a UCS AT-AT. Despite his being well designed and structurally very stable it was a bit of nightmare putting everything together. I spent almost a day attaching the head onto the body. Biggest build to date coming in at just over 6700 pieces. Hopefully that will be topped by the new Falcon and then my UCS collection is complete with respect of in my opinion all of the iconic ships in Star Wars universe.
  20. I hate to double post but this showed up on Eurobricks Ad from a Taiwan department store is showing not only sets 10256, 10259, but a 70922 CONFIDENTIAL_Batman Movie 2018_D2C... On second thought, although this is a real flier from a real store, they used two of my fake box arts so I just think we should take it with av ery big grain of salt. We've seen that LEGO presents upcoming D2Cs to at least SOMEONE (Assembly Square) so..
  21. I'm giving you half like, because of the second part of your sentence. Lego Movie was dope. period.
  22. Captain Rex AT-TE almost half off from a third party. Not bad if you don't have clearance in your area. Two left. https://www.amazon.com/LEGO-Star-Captain-AT-TE-75157/dp/B01CIGN8WA/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1503097227&sr=8-6&keywords=lego+75150
  23. They saved you the frustration of opening the shipping box
  24. I´d hold off 2 more weeks and observe prices like a hawk in the meantime. The new one will bring the value of the old one down unless it is mint and numbered so it is best to wait and let the sellers sweat.
  25. My sources tell me they've ditched any internal frame, and instead packed its hollowness full of Galidor figures and K'nex pieces. ?
  26. After spending 20 minutes at Target feeling bags I finally found the one with the scarf. Had a weird conversation with an employee about what I was doing. He said some people bring in scales and weigh them to get the one they want.
  27. Francisco Hartley's Pagani Huayra with instructions from Thorsten50 completed.
  28. and Raskolnikovs UCS Size AT-AT. Still trying to source the correct 5x5 dishes in lbg for the sides of the head. Also need another AT-AT driver and more snow troopers Next up is to build my bricklinked 10134 Y-Wing
  29. UCS Sandcrawler. I both love and hate it!
  30. Slave 1 completed and added to the UCS ship shelf.
  31. 6210 Jabba's Sail Barge. Feels old, but still a great set! Of note, I still have the original sticker sheet, but I going to opt for a replica sheet from BL.
  32. I have quite a few sets that I have recently built and still in the queue. The most recent build is the new Snowspeeder and I was happy to get a refresh of this set for my collection. I built two-to-three bags every day for 5 days and I really enjoyed the build because there wasn't a lot of greebling. My favourite part is the ass end; it looks fantastic and the designer did a great job on both that and the sleek appearance. I put the stickers on but the only ones that add aesthetic value are the front orange one and the side window white stripes, the others are a complete waste. I would like to see a little more work on the underside (or how about a functioning tow cable) and two tiles on the back 45 degree 1x2 bricks instead of loose studs but it's an overall great piece and I don't really like the Snowspeeder to begin with!
  33. Finished building this today. Very fast build since there aren't a lot of pieces. Still love the design and I think it displays very very well. Can't believe it's 15+ year old set.
  34. I built the UCS B-Wing 10227 over the weekend as the kids and I continue to work our way through our Star Wars want list whenever we have enough profits from Legos sales to finance our next buy. I enjoyed the build as it had some different pieces that I have never used before...plus I am always a sucker for a large OT set. I haven't built the 75050 B-Wing for comparison, but have been busy selling them to pay for sets like these ?. (Sorry for the low quality pics...we had bad lighting and just snapped them quickly.) Next up for us will be the Tantive IV 10198, which we are excited to finally build.
  35. My son finished Silent Mary today. Looks pretty good, I like it a lot. Put it next to Seacow for a bit of comparison.
  36. Until I put up some suitable shelving the only place I can display this is in my office. Anyway I've finished the fleet. "Send the fleet to the far side of Endor.... there it will stay until called for"
  37. I went on a harry potter buying spree last month or so and finally built them. Yes, I do hoard them so I may buy the same sets over and over again.
  38. My CL score from last week. Built about a half dozen of these the past few years, never gets old.
  39. Built old Bessie. Only the Ewok village and New Death Star left in my backlog of UCS inventory. Need to get my hands on a Death Star 2!
  40. Finished building the Beatles Yellow Submarine and placed it next to the Ghostbusters Ecto-1 set:
  41. Tonight I finally finished off the UCS Tie Fighter while watching Episode IV. After sitting in my build pile since December, I decided to put it together doing 1-2 bags per night over the last week. Overall, I was very happy with the set. I'm not sure why such harsh criticism? Also, I disassembled and put away Technic set 42030 Volvo L350F Wheel Loader....primarily in order to make room for more SW UCS sets. UCS Slave 1 is up next.
  42. Slowly catching up on my UCS collection. Bought this used, and took me 3 hours to build it. After building this, I really appreciate the improvements they made with the instructions on new sets. These earlier sets were very difficult to differentiate black and dark grey. I also made the mistake of building double identical wings instead of mirror images. Should have known this after building Tower Bridge. Nice looking set, but it is a bit dated. Lots of improvements can me made if they ever decide to reissue it.
  43. Also had chance to build another minifig frame for my Batman series:
  44. Back when Ewok Village was retiring, I managed to pick an opened set for $180. Finally got around to building it today (+ the new AT-ST and extra minifigs). Second picture is its new place in our modest Lego Star Wars display (above the doorway and basically in front of my desk). Great set.
  45. Madoca FJ40 Crawler with a few missing and substituted parts. Those technic # 3 connectors are hard to find. Claas Xerion tires totally kill all suspension travel but give the Jeep a monster truck look. Great build, highly recommended.
