  1. I'm in the complete opposite situation from most...I'm the wife who wants this! And I don't plan on asking permission...

  2. Oh the joys of being a recently divorced guy with no kids. I don't have to explain or ask permission for jack squat. I can throw money down for this and be proud of it and not have to worry about a nagging wife hahaha. In your face!!!!!! haha jk guys.

  3. I don't have to ask for permission, but my wife doesn't either. That's a whole other issue... [emoji856][emoji857][emoji24]

  4. *logs on and gets excited for a bunch of new 75192 posts* Thread not going where I expected lol. Work bonus comes Sept 15, so this is great timing as it's probably the only time during the year I won't get a complete eye roll.

  7. Stumbled upon a Jurassic World Raptor Rampage 75917 at a local Toys R Us. It seemed out of place since the series has been off the shelves for months. Scanned the thing and it came up at $0.03. Shocking deal.

  8. No expert here... but I think this is one of those questions you really have to ask yourself... "What is it worth to me?" I'm not sure you'll really find a consensus here on the value of this item in the next 24 hours. For me... I dunno... I might give $350 for it? With a new one coming out, this is just another old, used Lego with missing figs.

  9. modified spidey bridge to fit trains. I don't have much room for a straight incline ( 4 ft on both sides) so lots of work ahead.

  10. My experience is that once girls get through the 'this is geeky' subconscious barrier, they become more obsessed than me. A good friend of mine, an outgoing girl, asked for a Death Star for graduation. I feel the world is finally becoming a good place.

  12. There are optimum windows to sell and this was has now passed. It'll never reach the £5K mark again & if this new version is an improvement on 10179, then I don't see why anyone would buy this, unless at a huge discount.

  13. The simple solution would be to either mention you charge for shipping on your terms page, or raise your minimum buy in. You can lose money on an order with no minimum. That $1.00 minifig would've cost you about $0.45 in fees. More if you don't buy your labels from PayPal.

  15. Currently with a new one coming out, I wouldn't even touch it. Unless I can get it for less than $400. Just my opinion.

  16. What is this long term you speak about? It is the same one people mention when they tell me good things are going to happen to my Benny´s Spaceship?

  18. It all started with one of our fish having babies. We separated them in a breeding tank for a couple of days. But that was not enough....my wife and sons teamed up on me and begged for a bigger tank. Next thing I knew...we had decided to not only get a bigger tank, but also decided exactly how we wanted to decorate it. We love our Lego displays, and this was just another creative way to add to the collection. What the hell...right?!! Great build! Very fragile! Great display piece!

  19. Having now built this, it's no wonder why Lego haven't released a UCS AT-AT. Despite his being well designed and structurally very stable it was a bit of nightmare putting everything together. I spent almost a day attaching the head onto the body. Biggest build to date coming in at just over 6700 pieces. Hopefully that will be topped by the new Falcon and then my UCS collection is complete with respect of in my opinion all of the iconic ships in Star Wars universe.

  20. While I am getting closer to releasing a long overdue update to BrickPicker, now is a good time to release some content that I was hoping to release with the updated site. @belljohn has been talking with Ed and I for a very long time and has spent a lot of time in creating a series of Brickvesting videos that he is happy to share on the BrickPicker YouTube Channel. I am hoping to see this expand this into a bunch of different topic series and welcome any of you that are interested in working on some videos to reach out to me and we can work on it. Set reviews, investing tips, set builds, etc. It's not easy to speak for ~15 minutes, but Brook does an amazing job covering this topic. We will be publishing more videos soon from belljohn. We hope you enjoy it. Who knows, maybe soon you will see Ed showcase his amazing words of wisdom in video. That will be a real treat. View full blog article

  21. 70% through Ninjago City what a great build, possibly my favorite of all time. Taking my time, 3 nights so far and catching up on some old movies while building.

  22. I built the Yoda Jedi Starfighter and Darth Vader's transformation the other day and today my daughter built the Ninjago movie Green Dragon. For her birthday she got a variety of LEGO and that was the one she most wanted to build.

  23. If it´s a mint original numbered set, residuals should still be well above RRP. Normal NISB will continue to drop in value to around RRP of the new one, or a little below. A lot will depend on how many nervous sellers flood the market in panic. Anyone who bought one for more than RRP and hasn´t sold it yet is going to be in that category, will they hold their nerve and stick it out? How many of them are still out there unopened? Used sets or ones with missing parts or manual/box will be the hardest to sell but there will always be a good part out value as a safety net.

  26. Yup all shop@home orders now come from the new location/warehouse in Romeoville, IL - no notice but found out having to call CS due to messed up orders. Service is has been slightly shoddy from them since the move from Southaven, MS to Romeoville, IL and most large shipping boxes are cheaper quality. Have had 2 issues so far with the new location and warehouse, missing set and large boxes shipping to small but tightly packed and damaged items. I hope they fix the issues and get back on track as I can't always hit the local B\M Lego store.

  30. So watch and wait. It´s not like there aren´t more and it´s a buyers market unless the new one looks like my avatar. Buying an incomplete one with no box to resells is madness ATM, in my opinion unless the price is RRP or below. BTW how much is it at now?

  37. I finished my Tantive IV 10198, and it exceeded my expectations. I have had my eyes open for a good deal on a Rebel Blockade Runner 10019, but haven't come across one at a price that I can stomach yet. In the meantime, this set was awesome. If you have one and are thinking about building it or if you have been thinking about getting one, I highly recommend it!

  42. Picked up a used lot 2 months ago containing the Black Pearl and Queen Anne's Revenge. Built both over the last 2 weeks prior to watching the new movie with my son. The builds went pretty fast since this was my 3rd time building a BP and 2nd building the QAR since 2013. I'll be modifying the BP with an extra hull element soon. Other than that, I have many extra canons for each ship Both are displayed in my son's room since they are "for play". 2 POTC ships down and 1 Silent Mary to go.

  45. Finished this over the weekend. Really enjoyed building it, and I'm glad I didn't rush through. Displays so much better in person. I've bricklinked a few extra parts to build some extra star destroyers to go along side and make a fleet. Next UCS IST.

  46. Here's the three amigos who couldn't save the Death Star in Ep IV. I think the teal outline on Black in the older UCS sticker plaques offered more contrast. I liked teal on black over the dark blue on black.
