  2. Moved to a new house over the weekend. Contemplated disassembling 10030 but decided to move it built. Thankfully, it survived the trip. The only pieces that came off were a couple feet on the stands. I added additional inner frame brackets during my build years ago so that helped with stability.

  4. I've been wondering why the price of these has been so low on Bricklink; I'm glad I checked this thread. There are some great parts in this series for resale. The female hair has been a steady seller for me: I'm buying Harley Quinn to stock up on her valuable bright pink hands. It's forced me to find creative ways to move those torsos:

  10. Finished. Well I guess I need to see the movie as there is a lot of build here that I have no clue what it is. Besides being an amazing display set, it is very busy and seems to have something different to look at each time, there are some awesome modules that have great detail on the inside that you do not see unless you take them apart and explore, like Lloyd's apartment that just looks like a plain yellow building from the outside and the comic book store. It is not your classic Ninjago set and I still think ToA is my favorite in the theme. It is also not a classic Modular where you build one floor at a time, rather you build separate modules that attach to make up the floors. I think they did a great job of recreating the city from the movie using new elements, elements in new colors and existing elements in new ways, but will have to wait to see it. I am going to add the Ninjago green dragon 70612 tonight and some lampposts from the city chase 70607 should be arriving Monday. You get a lot for $300 with over 4860 elements, 16 minifigs, sweep and 2 suprise figs that are part of the build.

  12. First time posting, but I have been lurking for a while now. I recently re fell in love with legos after building the Saturn V rocket. I was so amazed at the build and how every thing went together so perfectly. I immediately wanted to display it in my Man cave. After I did I started thinking about my other cool things I wanted to display. My collection of 100 amiibos that were just sitting in a bag came to mind. The rocket takes up a lot of room and I was wondering how I could display the rocket and all my Amiibos on the same shelf. I decided to build a 3-foot bridge that would go over my Saturn V. So far I have built a 2 level bridge and I have one more level to go to fit my 100 Amiibos on it. So that’s the back story, any advice or incite on my built would be greatly appreciated. My goal is to keep it looking like a bridge but also keeping it as a functional display. I was thinking of adding ramps to make it more realistic but, I am not really sure how to do that with the limited space I have. I already need to lower the bridge to fit on the 3rd level. I have been able to put 36 lbs on the lower level and it creaks but holds steady. I was impressed, but not sure if that’s good? I stuck with Mostly White, Black and Gray, the bridge is totally symmetrical bar a few off color variations. I kinda wanted it to look like the Tynes bridge but I have no idea how to make the struts or if they would even add any strength. Thanks for taking the time to read this and hope to hear from you guys. Wally

  24. Not a set I've bought but got the instructions for Mirko Soppelsas UCS U-Wing MOC and ordered all the parts i don't have. Hopefully this will tide me over until 75192 hits the shelves. Not a cheap set of instructions to buy but the manual is a work of art and comes with a unique numbered tile as it's a limited release.

  28. It's doing terrible. After it retired it shot up to $450. Now it's 300-330. Investors late to buy caused the spike. I don't think that means anything for 70618. It's much cheaper than Sea Cow and a more traditional ship. Plus it should be easy to pick up at a discount. Sea Cow was rarely if ever discounted.

  33. Nice review from The Brick Fan. The LEGO Ninjago Movie Green Ninja Mech Dragon (70612) Review Posted: 27 Jul 2017 05:39 PM PDT My reviews of The LEGO Ninjago Movie sets are well underway and I’ve gotten quite a few requests to do a review on the Green Ninja Mech Dragon (70612). It is one of the medium-sized sets in the wave coming in at 544 pieces and retails for $49.99. Minifigures The Green Ninja, aka Lloyd, has a new black and green outfit with some printing going across the chest spelling out the word Ninja. He has a two piece mask however I do with there was Lloyd’s regular hair piece included as well. He has a double-sided head with one side being an angry expression and the other a confused one. His accessory is a sword with a pearl-gold chain tassel which I like. Master Wu has a new white robe with printing of the fasteners going down the middle. He also has a cloth skirt piece with similiar printing. He only has a single-sided head with a stern look. The white beard piece is the same one as before. One thing that is new, however, is the tan straw hat with an updated design. Garmadon, like with his previous versions, has two torsos, one of which has printing of his armor while the other has printing of his ribs. Going over the torsos is a paper robe/cape piece. Garmadon has an evil expression and he wears a large helmet. His accessories include two swords and a laser pointer keychain. If you’ve watched the new SDCC 2017 trailer, you may have seen it in use. Finally we have Charlie who we assume works for Garmadon. The printing of the torso and legs are of a tactical suit. The outfit is not the same as the one seen as my previous review of the Ninjago City Chase (70607) which has some slight differences. His accessory is a fish spear that uses a light-blue fish piece. Build The only build is this set is the Mech Dragon and I will say that it looks fantastic. I haven’t built many Ninjago dragon sets and the only one I’ve reviewed was The Golden Dragon (70503) way back in 2013. Obviously, this set is a huge upgrade and there are many reasons why. The whole dragon comes in a sand green color and has a very organic feel to it when you look at it from afar. Since it is a mech, there are some areas where it looks fairly rigid but it still looks great nonetheless. For the head is probably my favorite part of the dragon. It is attached to the neck using a ratchet joint and it can turn to many positions that make it come alive. There’s a sticker to give some extra detailing. The eyes are actually a trans-green minifigure head that is in a bowl. The mouth is able to open very wide and it also has a tongue that is made from a flag piece. There’s also a lot of pearl-gold pieces including the banana next to the eyes and tooth pieces on top of the head and bottom of the mouth. The neck area has a cockpit for the Green Ninja to control. The panel is a sticker however the trans-green screen is a printed piece. There’s even a clip next to it for the sword as well. The whole neck is on hinged ratchet joints and it can look up fairly high. Going down the back of the Mech Dragon are some black fin pieces for its spikes. In the middle of the body are a couple of hidden thrusters that are able to pop out during flight mode. The panels that open up has a large sticker on it. Both the front and hind legs are on ratchet joints while there are ball joints at the ankles. Using this combination of parts give the Mech Dragon a lot of poseability which I really appreciate. You can get it into a normal standing pose to a crawling one with ease. The front legs have a couple of stud shooters as well. The section behind the body and in front of the hind legs is connected by a Technic pin and it has some swivel in that area but not much. The tail sections have a lot of playability as it has a wheel turning function to make it whip around. It uses some new 2×4 hinged pieces to connect the sections and it actually looks really good when you turn the wheel. Build After building it and staring and swooshing it around for a bit, longer than I should, I will definitively say that The LEGO Ninjago Movie Green Ninja Mech Dragon (70612) is the best dragon set that LEGO has made so far. Although it is a technically a mech, you can’t really tell when looking at it from far away. As I mentioned before, the organic look of it combined with all the sand green and pearl-gold parts is what makes this dragon stand out from other Ninjago dragons that LEGO has made. The price point is spot-on and it is worth picking up even at normal price. The four minifigures are okay but not all of them are exclusive to this set and it’s not a big deal as they aren’t the main focal point. Design: 5/5 Playability: 5/5 Value: 5/5 Check out my reviews of some other The LEGO Ninjago Movie sets: Spinjitzu Training Dojo (70606) Ninjago City Chase (70607)

  34. Watch out for dimensional shipping charges with UPS and FedEx. Paypal/Ebay will *NOT* take this into account and will just quote you the cheaper base rate. You will need to go to their (= FedEx or UPS) dimensional shipping calculators and enter your dimensions and weights to get a more accurate shipping quote, and keep that in mind when you print the label. I had a long battle with EBay CS over this (for which I finally, after many calls) got reimbursed through an EBay voucher, when I was quoted $11 for shipping a big set but the invoice came back at $27 thanks to dimensional weight. So be careful and do the prework before purchasing any UPS or FedEx label.

  35. You have to print UPS labels through Paypal or another means, they're not integrated into eBay like USPS and FedEx so I don't use them due to the extra steps. FedEx doesn't charge for the label like USPS does. The total cost will be added to your monthly invoice, and it may differ from the estimated value that they provide when you are printing the label. If you're accurate on your weight and dimensions, you shouldn't see much difference between estimated and actual value. Make sure that if it is a residence that you have that option checked, I believe that is the default now, but it didn't used to be. Insurance is up to you and your risk tolerance.

  36. Nice to see Adam Grabowski a Lego Designer and AFOL from Poland (we used to be members of the same RLUG group before he joined TLG). Maybe that's why it's currently the cheapest offer out there on LEGO Shop at Home (cheapest in Europe) and second cheapest now worldwide (tax incl) Great project even better execution, day 1 purchase for sure, kudos to both designer and the author.

  38. That is exactly what I been trying for the past week, doing a thorough inventory ... so far I found 2 grand emporiums , 2 haunted houses and two 10225 R2-D2, that I was not aware they were still there and I can not find a HP the borrows and a 41999... overall I guess the finds offset the losses ... ?

  46. Bought 2 a while ago when they were -40%, built them, and modded them. Raised the arc by 2 1/3 to fit a train through, raised the pilars by 3, and took out all the moving parts. Shortened it to 80 studs to fit well into a Lego town, train running in between the modular houses (Pet shop works well here at 16 wide)
