  1. There are also some rumors that the bricks are 2.56 times bigger... I assume these should reflect it....

  2. This popped up on CL for $100 so I picked it up. Not a steal by any means but a cool set to have. May be good trade bait at some point. He had the 50 years of trains for $150 but I passed on that for now.

  3. Created this from a 16"x20" front-loading shadow box and white foam core from Hobby Lobby and bricks ordered from LEGO Bricks & Pieces. Cragled 48 1x2 plates to foam and clicked on other bricks to build Minifig stands that can be modified for a variety of figs and accessories. Since it is front-loading, figs can be easily swapped out.

  6. 21022 Lincoln Memorial for $55 via BL. Buy-in was $25. Last of the Lincoln Memorials for me. I should've hoarded more than three of these.

  7. I think this is a deal site more geared toward women/mothers. My wife was familiar with it, even had an account. She says they're legit, but her judgement is forever suspect since she married me.

  11. Before the end of the day no doubt someone will have x-rayed/photoshopped the manual in the latest tweet and there will an outline of the Falcon.

  12. That's a tough question. Scar is the most evil in my book. Killed his brother and framed his nephew all for the sake of power. Pure evil. But my favorite? Jafar. He almost hooked up with Jasmine and that puts him up there with all the great villains.

  19. It all started with one of our fish having babies. We separated them in a breeding tank for a couple of days. But that was not enough....my wife and sons teamed up on me and begged for a bigger tank. Next thing I knew...we had decided to not only get a bigger tank, but also decided exactly how we wanted to decorate it. We love our Lego displays, and this was just another creative way to add to the collection. What the hell...right?!! Great build! Very fragile! Great display piece!

  22. I did that today. They had 1 on the shelf in mint condition and I had $160 in rewards to use up before they stop letting me get Lego.

  25. Screenshot from twitter link! They're really milking this. What next. The number of bags or inner boxes? So a manual of just under 500 pages. Original was about 315 pages. So doesn't look like a remake. Maybe the interior is being included.

  26. Yeah, I have a few. I missed out on Brandeburg . Still, I like this set. I think it is better executed than most. When I walk by these on the selves and leave them there... I kinda feel the same way I felt when I walked by those 21009 Farnsworths a couple years ago...

  27. I returned to Lego almost a year ago, and as a 45 year old, I like to return to my inner child when I build. In doing such, and eagerly anticipating the UCS MF, my inner child simply thinks the box must really be more than one set. With enough squinting and studying of the photoshopped picture, I honestly think I see a pair of Tie Fighters pursuing the Falcon (actually I swear I see an Interceptor and Vader's ship above it). The volume and shape of the box really scream that it is more than one box. Could this really be a couple of ships? (economically and piece-wise, it seems a more logical stretch than a 7,500 set for $800 being one ship). I sure hope I'm not an idiot for thinking this, but it seems so logical to me. .....and hello forum, hope you don't this being my first post!

  29. The first time my kid saw someone smoking on TV, I got the question, "What's that?" and it took me a minute to figure out what he was talking about. Caught Dumbo on TV the other night, there's another that's not real PC. I was going to say Jafar and Iago as my favorite pair, but Ursula was probably the most scary animated to me, and Prince John from Robin Hood was always good for a laugh.

  34. Level 1 "The Old World" bags 1-6 completed. It has 2 removable modules and is mostly flat colors to give it that rustic look. Lego still can not produce dark brown in an instruction manual properly so that you can easily discern what element needs to be used.

  36. Dragon from Ninjago Dragon Forge. Nicer than I expected. Some less common blue (not sure which blue is used) parts and several of the shield shaped tiles (in black). Edit* the blue I mentioned is Dark Azure.

  38. Finally got around to starting this last night. Did bags 1&2, no stickers yet, KAI and KONRAD figs with his fishing boat. A couple of elements in new colors to me they may be in some mixels or friends sets that I haven't built and one new element that is covered. Took me longer then expected because I had to line up all the imprints on the translucent light blue elements but looks nice. Plan on bags 3& 4 tonight.

  45. bump @Alpinemaps. Yes I know it's kind of cruel, but he does get to go to SDCC this weekend. I'd prefer Voltron, bc I loved it as a kid, but the ship in a bottle is also an excellent design.
