Dragon from Ninjago Dragon Forge. Nicer than I expected. Some less common blue (not sure which blue is used) parts and several of the shield shaped tiles (in black). Edit* the blue I mentioned is Dark Azure.

I finally finished up UCS Artoo after a week of 1-2 bags per night. I really enjoyed the build and love the final result.

Did a big trade for some of my Prime Day glitch stuff. Got a used Black Pearl, an incomplete QAR, a sealed box of Series 14 minifigs, a used Vampyre's Castle, a 10188 Death Star with a beat up box (to build), a smooth hair Leia, a sealed blue polybag White Boba Fett, and some cash. Also some more Walmart clearance which I'll post in that thread.

$5 piggy cars? I'm always on the look out for Lego to donate to the local childrens hospital and would definitely buy some of these at $5 but can't find them. Are they in store?

Those clearance stickers probably have a small exclusion list on them that includes LEGO Construction Sets.

I co-ordinate the donation on behalf of my LUG (MBLUG.org), and I draw from friends and family as well. I've been doing it for 6 years now and have a contact at children's hospital of Manitoba who let's me know what themes, gender and size of sets they are most in need of. I then drop off a couple hundred sets in the fall. Just google your local childrens hospital and they will have a donations coordinator you can work with. Sets that retail at $13 are the most popular as the kids build them on the trays in their hopsital beds, then take them home. I try my best to pick them up at 50% off throughout the year.

Man, has this thread gone dry or is it just me? Anyhow, Kmart has started a new clearance wave, some of the sets are actually discounted pretty well, instead of the usual 5% off only. Once the extra 50% off sale hits it's gonna be a gold mine. I'll be posting a list to the Kmart clearance thread later today.

LEGO needs to simplify their greys/grays. No need for twenty versions IMO.

maybe the worker is an undercover purist AFOL secretly trying to bring back true light and dark gray. the bley colors are ugly compared to their predecessors.

You can never know the feeling of going to Walmart without actually going. The wildlife there is something to behold. The first few times I went on Lego hunts at few prime Florida locations, I really had to consider whether it was worth it. It's the intersection of two very popular (and very true) memes: "Florida Man" and "People of Walmart". There's not one visit that I don't see one or both.

New LEGO Build Your Own Adventure book, DC Comics Super Heroes. It includes Green Lantern John Stewart! And a nice little mini jet. I just wish they'd offer up instructions for the builds inside. There's a few good builds that I'll have to figure out.

It's not that it's not allowed. It's more of a keyboard shortcut. You can type that abbreviation, and the board will automatically spell it out for you.

What are most of you guys doing with 21309 if you manage to catch it? Are you stockpiling them or just quick flipping? I'm new to the LEGO investing scene and curious what the general pop is doing with these.

weird seeing this on the shelf at target today. without spiders too! i had no interest in this theme but the sets all really stand out in the aisle.

I did not watch Voltron either, but I am happy to get a traditional Japanese mech for the sake of fun. Now somebody please pass a Godzilla so I can make them fight in my modular city.

Not a huge deal because the set looks good but... Let me get this straight. The Sandcrawler was an UCS set w/o the sticker plaque. Same goes for latest 10188 Take II $500 set. BB-8 isn't an UCS set but comes with the sticker plague. Ok, I'm good and totally understand TLG's logic

Some of the minifigures from these sets have great potential and there's already demand for certain ones. I'm targetting any of the fun packs under 50% off from here on in, particularly as I think once the cancellation becomes official the sets will be clearanced very quickly.

Seeing the exo suit instantly reminded me of Ripley and the Power Loader from ALIEN and I asked myself: Why does LEGO not get an ALIEN license? Produce a set like "Ripley with Power Loader fighting the Alien Queen". Produce all those cool vehicles and ships: - The Nostromo - Landing Ship - Troop Transport - The Colony... ...well ok, I already get it: too scary, too violent, not really LEGO-like. But seeing all those vehicles and ships in nice black und blue boxes in a LEGO store would have been awesome.
