Finally got around to starting this last night. Did bags 1&2, no stickers yet, KAI and KONRAD figs with his fishing boat. A couple of elements in new colors to me they may be in some mixels or friends sets that I haven't built and one new element that is covered. Took me longer then expected because I had to line up all the imprints on the translucent light blue elements but looks nice. Plan on bags 3& 4 tonight.4 points

When you hear folks talking about the issue of a "nexus" in relation to sales tax, they're talking about the factual circumstances that have to exist in order for a state's tax authority to exercise personal jurisdiction consistent with the due process clauses in the U.S. constitution over you or your business in order to require you to collect and remit sales tax to the state. The easiest way to establish a nexus is actual presence within a state. So if you live in a state, that state has the legal right to require you to collect and remit sales tax. On the other end of the spectrum, if you have no contact with a state whatsoever, there is no nexus and that state cannot exercise jurisdiction over you for the purpose of dragging you into its courts in order to enforce its sales tax laws. The tricky part is the in between and the question of how much contact (or "nexus") does one have to have with a particular state for that state to have the ability to enforce its tax laws against you consistent with the constitutional due process protections. Personally, I don't buy the argument that inventory stored in an FBA warehouse in a distant state is enough to give that state the right to enforce its tax laws against me. I don't think that is enough standing alone to create a nexus for tax purposes. Some states have passed laws that say that it is enough, but those state laws are not the last word on the subject because they remain subject to restrictions that flow from the constitution. The people who I primarily see arguing that those laws are enough and that the presence of inventory in an FBA warehouse does create a nexus tend to be people who have a vested financial interest in convincing people that a nexus exists so that they can sell those people some type of tax preparation, calculation, or submission service (e.g., Taxjar). That's probably more than you want to know, but is how I understand the nexus issue.4 points

I was wondering today... what with all the Walmart clearance going on right now... my Toys R Us has plenty of two-year-old junk on the shelves taking up too much space... how do they have room for all the new sets coming out this month? So I stopped in and found... they don't Not much to get excited about, tho... I picked up some of the smaller Bionicles. With partial pay and a gift card, got 11 Bionicles out the door for $5.55 ea ... piled on $20 in rewards to make them about $3.75 ea.3 points

Glad I could help! 1985, I'm in 8th grade, and my friends and I are in our yards playing Voltron. Forming Blazing Swords, fighting off Robeasts. It was a grand nerdy time. I obsessed over that show. Saw every episode. Hunted down the name of all 15 Vehicle Voltron characters (wasn't easy!). Had both the big Matchbox sets. I have a grand total of ONE Funko Pop on my desk. It's this guy: As soon as the Ideas set got posted, I was on the bandwagon. I probably over shared the Idea on Reddit. I remember being really bummed that it was about 500 supporters short of 10,000 when they closed the review period on March 1, 2016. So it had to wait until the next review period closed (it made it's goal a few hours after the review period closed). This is a Day One, retail price pick up for me. I most likely will get two of these, on to build out as Voltron, and one to have as the Lions. Short of being the Ideas creator, I've got to be one of the happiest guys around about this set. I even built this guys (thanks to TOK's help):3 points

You can never know the feeling of going to Walmart without actually going. The wildlife there is something to behold. The first few times I went on Lego hunts at few prime Florida locations, I really had to consider whether it was worth it. It's the intersection of two very popular (and very true) memes: "Florida Man" and "People of Walmart". There's not one visit that I don't see one or both.3 points

Not a shocker that TRU needs to take notes from Target and WM on how to properly price clearance.2 points

I may have cried. I certainly would have been in disbelieve. What boggles my mind is that the Ideas submission happened last March, and we are just now hearing that it's official. It's probably going to be next Spring (or maybe Comic Con time next year?) before we have a release. My wife looked at me more oddly than usually, as I was bouncing up the stairs yelling "I'm ready to form Voltron!" over and over again. lol I charge my phone all day at work.2 points

Please Voltron! So the Voltron Season 3 trailer dropped on Tuesday. And Season 3 is released in Amazon tonight. I think if results are going today, it leans toward Voltron. Timing would be perfect. It would be perfect cross promotion. /edit to add: It's 9:45 EDT / 3:45 PM in Denmark right now. Maybe we'll get an announcement at 5 Danish time?1 point

So I picked up an Xbox One starter pack l a few weeks ago cheap, for personal use. The outer box had been opened, but everything inside was untouched. I started playing it Monday night and when I realized you have to move people around the pad a lot I moved it closer to me. While doing that, the cord was slightly kinked and I wasn't pulling hard at all, but the rubber cord came away from the XBox, but the USB connector stayed attached to the XBox. I contacted WB games and they are considering sending me a new pad. Really enjoying the game, Wonder Woman is the best player to use and I broke out Dr. Who during that level. I like the on-screen building instructions. Packs I've picked up so far: Levels: Dr. Who, BTTF, and Portal 2 Team Packs: Scooby Fun: Wonder Woman, Emmet, Doc Brown, Unikitty, and Slimer Wants: all the 80's stuff like A-Team, Ghostbusters, Knight Rider, and Goonies and the Batman Movie Portal1 point

It all comes down to the business model. We would not be selling expensive one offs on Amazon. All I can see is upside to this new program and reviews from those who have been in the beta are all very positive. If this does not work out then it is going to be mandatory FBA so I am glad for the FBM merchants that they are at least getting a chance.1 point

I have recently updated my store terms, adding the following message: ***INTERNATIONAL TORSO BUYERS*** The United State Postal Service has recently changed it's rates for small packages. Bubble envelopes, which used to be inexpensive to send overseas, are now considered "packages" and cost the more expensive package rate. This means even small (30 gram) shippments start at around $13 to ship. However, I have been experimenting with shipping small parts orders in a reinfonced envelope with great success. The Envelope rate is much cheaper, and I can send some small orders for $5. If you have a small order (20 parts or so) of parts in the following catagories, ask me if I can ship them envelope rate: -torsos -heads -hips/legs -minifigure weapons Most helmets and hair pieces are too wide and fragile to ship via envelope. So @longshot, the deal is, you can send some small parts orders envelope rate. I posted pictures of the "cardboard sandwhich" technique I use for sending via envelope in the Packaging Thread* (I forget the actual name of the thread.) Let me know if you can't find it; I'll post it here. UPDATE: I found that post. It is HERE. Sending a 2oz envelope is around 3 1/2 bucks. I have gotten a noticeable uptick in international orders since adding the above note in my terms; I sent a $15 order to Denmark yesterday and a $50 order to Hong Kong today.1 point
