  1. And then the mind starts spinning...
  2. Picked these up. Carrier is partially built and Castle has "1 bag open". Need to dig into them tonight to determine if they're complete. $175
  3. Just taunting me. It is funny so much difference in which rules they apply at certain locations and times. I deal with them all and it's always like that.
  4. Yes, you should absolutely quit. There really weren't any good deals to speak of before the glitch and there most assuredly will not be any moving forward. The end is near.
  5. Jabba's Palace. While not the most interesting set, the selection of minifigs is great.
  6. Sliced open a Rancor Pit this evening. Lots of large pieces and the Rancor is epic. It was worth the original RRP in my opinion, despite the low parts count.
  7. Alpine was a day early...
  8. The new Thor sets have hit.
  9. They've done it for 4 years I don't see them stopping! Let me borrow that time machine I need to see for myself. (Since i know all of you so well this is what you would put)
  10. I built the 7239 Fire Truck (2004) when I got home from work and I needed some Lego therapy after a long day. We have all been there. The partially built truck was in with some parts I got for free from a neighbor and I ordered most of the few missing parts (still need one ladder) on Bricklink and they were part of an order for some missing parts I needed for an Indiana Jones set. Some substitutions were made, but it happens and since it is for me I like it even better. I had lots of fun deciding on minifigures for this this set since the original ones were missing, decided to get a female firefighter to make my daughter happy and added the scuba diver that is not part of the original set. He seems a natural fit with the life raft. The raft is supposed to be dark gray, but I like the orange one better. The firefighter set is one I got from Lego Shop at Home about two years ago and it is finally time break the bad boy open. This set is one of the City Sets to Remember in The Lego Book, a book I can look at for hours if given the time. I have used it as a reference book many times too.
  11. Just sold a glitch Silent Mary for $150 plus a 75138 Hoth Attack and a 75137 Carbon Chamber. Meaning I received cash and the two sets. Suppossed to be selling a Porsche for $250 later

It might be the police crew from "First Blood".
  13. Crap! They sold out of Canada?

How do you think they get all the equipment up the mountain? And all the injured miners back down?
  15. Build it sell used no box. You will get to enjoy the build and don't think there will be much difference in sale price since it would have to be sold as used with sealed bags not New Other Check the how many bags thread and the hellicarrier thread to see if someone posted pics.
  16. reports > fulfilment > fba customer returns if the reason under Customer Return Reason is underlined , click on it and you should see the comment.
  17. Just got a targeted email from Groupon for a $20 TRU gift certificate for $10. Check your mail....
  18. I'd only buy that to open anyway.
  19. Well, the construction is moving along at the moment. Though, always expect the unexpected in this line of work... "Carol, where's my green syringe? It had the experimental drug in...it...HOLY MOTHERFU-" "Ermm...Doctor, did you hear something?" "Nope." "Steady as she goes, guys. Just connect it slowly. This isn't rocket science..." "Except it is, boss. Can you lend us a hand?" "No, I can't. I'm supervising. It's what I do. Supervise." "This thing isn't so heavy!" "Speak for yourself, you're using one hand, Bob! WHAT THE BRICK?!" "Oh, that makes sense..." "Oh hey, Ellen. I gave the Captain the inoculation for the space sickness!" "CAROL! That wasn't it! THAT WAS MY EXPERIMENTAL RADIATION DRUG!" "...Oh...dear..."

I am disappointed. With mountain police they will not do riot units with pepper spray.
  25. Been buying some bulk on goodwill. This was in a 15lb lot for $109. Looks mostly complete, probably without minifigures. Another 30lb lot with monster hunter castle (complete no minifigures) for $150. Some work ahead of me but think got some good deals

  27. I only do minifigs for the kids these last couple of years. Since the price jump at LEGOLAND I don't buy them there out of spite. I'm also still swimming in Simpsons and Monster Minis. Ugh.

Mountain Police? What could be the "subplot"? Those ubiquitous money thieves are hiding in the hills (most likely) The mining theme operation is illegal. Stopping speeding cars on those winding mountain roads; dangerous rock slides Illegal logging - poaching spotted owls Moonshiners or drug labs Hillbillies - 'nuff said. Mountain climbers without permits. Plane or helicopter crash (irony) that only a helicopter can access. Camping outside of designated areas: Timmy is lost; menaced by bears or cougars; improper latrine; didn't pack out their trash; Jason or Blair Witch
  29. Technically, its year round. Our water park is open from March until November. But even so, were in the middle of it. Kids still have another month before they go back to school out here. LEGOLAND should be open 7 days a week for at least another 2 months. Oh, and this is against passholders, so it wouldn't matter when tourist season is - APs are what keep the park going the rest of the year.

  32. I don't think there is one. Could be wrong, but that's what I've gathered.
  33. I think you'll be disappointed.
  34. Nice price, very nice actually but.....why posted here? Lol

Helicopters in city sets are almost as common as minfigs in city sets.

  37. Agree. One of the mistakes that I've made as a reseller and truly underestimated is "New release demand" or the "I've got to have it now" mentality. There are thousands of people out there that still want this set and want it now. IMO secondary market prices are being driven down by resellers who don't have the capital to wait/hold and need to sell (probably those that buy on credit alone) and saturation. 188 listings on Ebay right now (US only) and 96 of those between $150-$200 with the lowest BIN at $178. (which by my calcs would only be $10 profit.)
  38. Thought I'd share this from our friends over at The Brick Fan: Even though the LEGO Ideas NASA Apollo Saturn V (21309) was just released last month, it has been out of stock pretty much since then and fans have been starting to worry if it would ever come back. There have been sightings of it at various LEGO Brand Stores, Barnes & Noble, and Walmart but that stock has been limited as well. So what’s the deal on it? Last month, it was stated through an email from LEGO saying that the Saturn V would be in production through 2018 and we now have an official word from Hasan from LEGO Ideas. In his statement, he has stated We Are Continuing To Produce More Apollo Saturn V Sets There was no doubt that the set would continued to be produced but some would rather wait for an official statement from LEGO. As Captain America says, be patient and keep checking in on it at LEGO Stores if you’re near one or on B&N and Walmart online. You can read the full statement below. It has been over a month since the official launch of the LEGO® Ideas 21309 NASA Apollo Saturn V set and the overwhelming popularity of the iconic rocket has unfortunately meant that some LEGO fans have not yet been able to purchase their set or have had to wait longer than they had hoped. Unfortunately, rumours and speculation have arisen concerning its availability, which we would like to shortly address. We Are Continuing To Produce More Apollo Saturn V Sets Having just launched the Apollo Saturn V set recently, we will continue to produce the set according to our scheduled plans and we would like to re-assure everyone that it has not been retired. While the set is temporarily out of stock through our online shop, with limited quantities available in LEGO Stores, our production teams are working hard to produce more sets in order to make sure that everyone will be able to purchase their copy. This does take time however and we therefore ask for your patience. The product page on our online shop is continually updated to reflect current availability, but if you have questions regarding your order you’re very welcome to contact our Customer Service. We would like to thank you for your continued support of LEGO Ideas, and we cannot wait to bring you more exciting sets designed by LEGO fans.
