  3. Nordstrom has had LEGO for a long time. You will need to correct the spelling of the chain name, though. There is no 's' at the end of Nordstrom, just as there is no 's' at the end of the name LEGO.

  4. Germany is the Bermuda Triangle for Chima and Ninjago. Little by little they are soaking up rest of the world´s shelfwarmers. We´ll see if Nexo makes it a holy trinity next year.

  5. 15% off is really not a deal, would rather wait for double VIP points with good promo sets

  6. Don't be tempted by 15% guys. It's nearly worthless compared to the US Clearances on similar or same sets right now. It's not even that great for personal purchases. Many things I bought in my first year at 15% off is still sitting on my shelves waiting for break-even numbers... The market south of the border drives the online price, my advice is to be wise of this. Unless you find a retired and hot set like I Rex.... then maybe 15% is pretty good. Mini Coooper, not so much.

  8. Picked this lot up for $150 off craigslist. All the JW Dino's are there, except the dilophosaurus ambush one. Hard to tell what's complete and what's not, but some nice sets in there.

  9. Greetings from Central Florida! I am not a bot, though I was tempted to type "I am Groot" in paragraph form as an introduction. Yes, nerd girl here! Just found this site today, and signed myself right up. Grew up in the 80s playing with Lego, though I have to admit I didn't get back into it until 2011. The many things Lego can be turned into, from buildings to birds and beyond, just blows my mind. (And that was a lotta Bs in one sentence. ^^) Glad to be here, and have the chance to chat with other Lego fans. And for the record, I am an unabashed fan of the Elves sets. Wish they had those sets when I was growing up!

  10. Yes. Nordstroms. Thought it was a freak accident last week, when they 1) had sets on their website and 2) had some at a good discount. Someone on Reddit posted this picture of LEGO sets on sale in store: So....guess we need to pay attention to this retailer. Welcome to the party Nordstroms!

  20. Hmmm, maybe time to start selling overseas. If I can ever get comfortable and familiar with the shipping regs. on eBay. I feel like I'm missing out on some good opps. there.

  21. Mars Rover was truly "limited." I don't see any indication this set will be. On a positive note, these Ideas sets usually have shorter production runs. This set is just damn cool and affordable. Every geek wants one for their office. It will be successful regardless of the hoarding and production run in my opinion.

  22. Bought the Mouth of Sauron minifig from the Black Gate set. I don't have a lot of minifigs in my collection, but once in a while there are some figs I just got to have.

  24. No. Ideas sets no longer seem limited to just a few production runs and they have wider distribution. So with an indefinite supply until demand slows, most people who know of it and want one will have their chance to get one. Panic buyers will give it a bump post-EOL that might be longer and higher than for other Ideas sets, but in the long run I think it will be more RI than Mars Rover. How many Mars Rovers were made? How many Saturns have already been made and how many will be stocked by resellers? I think your future pool of AFOLs who remember the moon landing, or love NASA, or love Ideas who haven't already bought one will have an excess inventory to purchase from that far exceeds the amount of NISB Mars Rovers that have ever been put up for sale. You've got the AFOLs with 80s nostalgia for Ghostbusters, Doctor Who fans, and Beatles fans to inform you of how well Saturn will do.

  33. I took my first season off in 21 playing 6v6 flag football this past winter. I'm 44 now and the glory days have past. Our core team has become 40 somethings. Running with the 20+ year olds was getting tough these past few years. I'm pretty sure I'll suit up again next season. I missed it terribly. Even all the aches and pains.. Found this awhile back from my rookie season. I could run like the wind and caught anything thrown my way. Now I'm the old fat guy looking for one last moment like Uncle Rico..
