  1. Well that I have no idea .. we know from experience that some of what they do makes no sense at all (10188 for instance). Here, I took the liberty of whipping up the next big fake leak photo for you... I literally just finished it.

  2. Finally starting the set that I have been most looking forward to building for a while now: Tantive IV 10198. From back in the day when there weren't numbered bags, so I am starting to get organized. Should be fun!

  4. For those still looking to buy this set, no worries. It will be available soon enough w/o sell-out worries. For example, Exo-suit, UCS Tumbler, Research Institute, Scooby Doo Mystery Machines, Cinderella's Castle. The flip profile margin is drying up.

  6. Last night I finished building the 31070 Turbo Track Racer (Creator 3-in-1). The A-model to be precise, after having built the C-model and B-model respectively first. I have to say: this is a really nice 3-in-1 set! Interesting building techniques used on all three models which all look good in their own ways. But the best and most attractive model is of course the A-model: the Turbo Track Racer. It's only slightly smaller in scale than the Creator Expert Ferrari F40 but fits just fine in the range of large LEGO Creator cars. If you like large LEGO Cars and can get this set at a good discount it's highly recommended!

  8. Well - double check, but you probably didn't get *all* your money back. No matter what, once an A-to-Z judgment goes against you Amazon will never refund the full amount back. They keep at least $5 and they do something screwy with the commissions so it doesn't work out to getting back everything you had before the A-to-Z claim. I have had 100% success (so far) in reversing fraudulent A-to-Z claims that Amazon granted at my expense when I've spoken to seller support on the phone. Do whatever it takes to speak to an actual person. When you have them on the phone, being recorded, they are much less willing to violate their commitments to sellers. Also seller support is much more sympathetic than the A-to-Z team which I'm pretty sure is an algorithm, not actual people.

  13. Over the past few days I have had a lot of luck buying on CL. After losing out on one Black Pearl, I found another used one for $130 that is complete with all of the minifigures (no instructions), for investment. The Joshamee Gibbs minifigure is missing his hair, another victim of male pattern baldness no doubt. I will get new hair for him. Last night I got a used 75055 Imperial Star Destroyer complete with all the minfigures and instructions for $55. I have always wanted this one for my personal collection! The Darth Vader minifigure has one white arm with a black hand for some reason. The pieces came separated into numbered bags according to the instructions. The emperor hologram is definitely in bag 3! In both cases the mother and her son were both very happy with the money they got. It was a win, win scenario for everybody. I will admit that I am envious of the awesome finds that many members post here, and now I get to post two of my own.

  15. Picked this up from the same guy I got the other ucs sets from. It was on hold when I picked up the others but the guy no showed. Paid $200, not a steal but still solid. Seems to be missing a few bits though. I may tear this one down and rebuild it, should be a fun one.

  18. So here are the other two sets from my Goodwill lot. Each were missing a few pieces, most I had on hand, had to BL five between them. Will be keeping the Barge and selling the Sentai Fortress once the parts arrive.

  19. You've never shared any other leaked photos or information about upcoming sets? Besides, your photo shop doesn't need to be so good it fools people at LEGO, it only needs to be good enough to fool all the morons on the internet (of which there are plenty) that will bombard LEGO and their employees with questions. I mean this respectfully, but it'd be a cold day in hell that I'd produce one of your IDEAS submissions if I was in charge at LEGO. Plus, they are a private company, they can do whatever they want with your account on the IDEAS website. (As someone who has done website stuff .. in fact setting up some test vms on azure right now for work .. security is a sensitive topic. Just because they don't properly secure their image folders doesn't mean they appreciate people scraping them.)

  21. I know some of you have been thinking about the launch tower for the Saturn V. Here it is on the Lego Ideas site. One of the same designers created it. You can't complain about a repetitious build when it this cool. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/a88109ec-9970-4fe1-98b4-9bd535856ab4

  23. So for the sake of clarity, I may be overly blunt with my words but I'm not actually saying you did anything truly awful. If I use the word Steal or Crime here I don't actually care if it's a Crime, I'm just using it to differentiate from your "prank" and your "crime". Please correct me if I'm wrong in my reading, but it sounds like you did 2 things. 1) A fun Photoshop Prank of the Falcon, and 2) You stole their IP and distributed it without their permission re: the London bus Then they banned you for the Crime, told you it was for the crime you admit you did, but you think that's actually validation that your unrelated prank was real only because they couldn't have had enough time to realize they were punishing you for the crime you did and they correctly identified you as doing?

  25. Finally got together the missing parts for my UCS General Grievous 10186 that I bought used a while back for $90, so I built it over the weekend. My primary observations are that 1- it is huge compared to what I expected and 2- it seems unstable compared to most of the other sets I have built. I could definitely see my son demolishing this things in no time. I usually build these with the kids, but they were out in Yellowstone camping so I took the opportunity to build this one while they were away since several of you guys had mentioned it is a more fragile build than most...good call! Look how big it is next to some of the other relatively large sets!

  26. By "done the job" you mean another production run due to false demand or perhaps shipping some more over to the USA from the EU were they are smart enough not to buy this turd of a set. I wanted to pull the trigger on one for my personal collection but after rewatching this review couldn't do it even with 20% off and 2X VIP and promo. This will be an interesting set to watch EOL not sure which will do better it or my Mega Blocks Enterprise.

  28. After a pretty quiet period on the CL/Letgo/OfferUp front the last couple months, I've had an uptick in the last couple weeks. My first couple local sales in months and a bunch of "you're dumb for not selling stuff at a loss to me so I can profit of it" contact. Three people have offered me $100 for a Saturn V. One guy came up to like $175, but wouldn't go to $200, bc he could get it at Amazon "with returns". But you can't have it in hand today with the ability to inspect the box from Amazon. A guy today who offered me $200 for a Helicarrier wouldn't agree to $320 after coming up to $300, because it's the same price at Amazon with free shipping, except that it's $350 plus $25 tax in Florida. I refuse to be the guy who puts the ranting "no lowballers" footer on my posts, but man I just want to put "I'm not stupid, I know what these are worth, consider that before offers" but I'm sure it would just turn away the non-resellers who actually buy stuff.

  33. Last night I finished the Lone Ranger Comanche Tent and Stagecoach Escape (missing one mini) from my second used lot. Also finished my first City set (from new that is) 60080. I like the shuttle and platform but the cart, radar and countdown can go.

  34. It seems like quite the extreme thing to do for a fake image you posted for sure. What gets me in this whole situation, is why is this particular 'leak' so serious, when there have been so many numerous leaks before this? It further begs the question, after all these years, not including just you, why is it that Lego appears to FINALLY care about plugging up the leaks? I think the scarier thing about this whole situation, is that they seem to care more about leaks, then 'those who shall not be named' ripping Lego off...

  36. 1x Star Wars SSD 10221 NIB (very good condition) for €825,- cash at 'Marktplaats', pick up. Buy in was €309,-, just 2 weeks before these were sold out at LEGO. Now I have 2 left. Will wait a bit longer for these though.

  37. I'm hearing from insiders that the initial "inventory blowout" test was extremely successful, so they are going to roll out these semi annual "whole store on sale" sales chain-wide. This is incredible news for us, because it means 15-20% off all Lego and you are allowed to use coupons to sweeten the deal!

  39. Months ago I bought a 30 pound lot from Goodwill and just hadn't had the gumption to open it. So this weekend to avoid cleaning I started sorting it. After sorting it looked like the first picture. I built the first set out of the lot, which was a Raiders Temple Escape. The only thing missing from the entire set was two of the eight gold coins, crazy. Already posted it to BL and CL, this would more than pay for the original buy, plus there's some portion of a 6210 Jabba's Sail Barge (all the figs and sails are there) and an Exo-Force Sentai Fortress. There are also a bunch of Technic instructions, I'll have to see what's actually there. I'll keep the Sail Barge and sell everything else.

  41. We were on vacation in Asheville, NC 2 weeks ago, and during one of the rainy-days, I saw an ad on Craigslist for bulk lego that had some Harry Potter parts sticking out. The lot was split into multiple bags, so I offered $100 to take them all. Before leaving, she had her son run in and get the "ship" that was sitting on his shelf. He came out and plopped a Black Pearl on top of one of the boxes. =) After soaking and cleaning he pieces, the Pearl was mostly complete, only missing 1 sail and 1 mini-fig. I've also inventoried a Clone Turbo Tank, a Hogwarts, Hagrids Hut, LOTR Mines of Moira, and a Hobbit Goblin King Battle. There's more, including some space themed sets that I haven't yet identified, along with some Ninjago dragons. Good pick-up so far.

  43. Having now built this, it's no wonder why Lego haven't released a UCS AT-AT. Despite his being well designed and structurally very stable it was a bit of nightmare putting everything together. I spent almost a day attaching the head onto the body. Biggest build to date coming in at just over 6700 pieces. Hopefully that will be topped by the new Falcon and then my UCS collection is complete with respect of in my opinion all of the iconic ships in Star Wars universe.

  45. Finally completed US Capitol this evening. Taken me a couple of weeks, half an hour here and there. The dome at the end was the best part of the build. Amazing how long this thing is (45cm) and twice the length of White House. Really like the contrasting white and sand green.
