Well, Kenxxx, your encouragement saved me. Even though I lost the appeal, and could not see any way to appeal again, after I read your post, I opened a case yet again, stated the facts again, and just now got this reply: "We see that your account was debited for the claim on order 111-7018795-1985832 in error." The money they took is back in my account. The whole experience was maddening, but at least I got the money back. Thanks for encouraging me to keep trying!6 points

Thats a bit harsh, it was an April fool wasnt it? Ok you might of raised a few hopes up but thats not worthy of deleting accounts or getting too upset about! IMO. If they consider your photoshop skills that good maybe you should offer them freelance design services for future releases Lego has obviously taken disneys advice on security of this product, rumour and source info is all we are getting. Hurry up and release some info will ya Lego! Oh and Yeh #freeCM4Sci2 points

Over the past few days I have had a lot of luck buying on CL. After losing out on one Black Pearl, I found another used one for $130 that is complete with all of the minifigures (no instructions), for investment. The Joshamee Gibbs minifigure is missing his hair, another victim of male pattern baldness no doubt. I will get new hair for him. Last night I got a used 75055 Imperial Star Destroyer complete with all the minfigures and instructions for $55. I have always wanted this one for my personal collection! The Darth Vader minifigure has one white arm with a black hand for some reason. The pieces came separated into numbered bags according to the instructions. The emperor hologram is definitely in bag 3! In both cases the mother and her son were both very happy with the money they got. It was a win, win scenario for everybody. I will admit that I am envious of the awesome finds that many members post here, and now I get to post two of my own.2 points

I never use FBM but I have read the same story over and over again 100's of times. The issue is your customer is not choosing the correct reason when opening their case. If they choose item not received you won't even hear about it and amazon will pay off your customer themselves. If they choose any other reason then you will not be covered by their policy and you will lose the A-Z claim. So why do most customers choose the wrong reason to open the case? Because the customer has to wait 1 week after the item was supposedly delivered to be given the option to choose item not received. Since most people don't know they have to wait the week or just want to open the case immediately and get it over with they will choose something else and then type in the comments box item not received. When they do this the bots won't know how to handle it and you will auto lose. Simple answer is still use signature confirmation if you must do FBM. IMO FBA is the only way to sell on the Amazon platform without banging your head against a wall over and over and over again. Sell in volume to cover the unavoidable loss to fraud. Ebay is a great option, just not enough traffic for our model.2 points

That sounds like one their robot just failed to read properly. If buyer claimed item not received, and you responded correctly, this should be reversed on appeal. We've all been screwed by Amz, and given up, but I'd appeal that one a third time, forth, or how many it takes... Open a case if you have to. Good luck!2 points

I'm down to $0 gift cards and $3 in pts. Churned through quite a bit over the weekend but I'm playing it safe, for now.2 points

Built the assembly square. What an amazing set, what a great job lego did.2 points

I know some of you have been thinking about the launch tower for the Saturn V. Here it is on the Lego Ideas site. One of the same designers created it. You can't complain about a repetitious build when it this cool. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/a88109ec-9970-4fe1-98b4-9bd535856ab42 points

You gotta straighten out those lightsabers @uaford, what ocd I have is kicking in big time. GG looks like he has NERF sabers there.2 points

Finally got together the missing parts for my UCS General Grievous 10186 that I bought used a while back for $90, so I built it over the weekend. My primary observations are that 1- it is huge compared to what I expected and 2- it seems unstable compared to most of the other sets I have built. I could definitely see my son demolishing this things in no time. I usually build these with the kids, but they were out in Yellowstone camping so I took the opportunity to build this one while they were away since several of you guys had mentioned it is a more fragile build than most...good call! Look how big it is next to some of the other relatively large sets!2 points

1, That part freaked me out. 2. I need to get those rolling shelves for my house 3. Who let those hippies in there to man-handle those beautiful boxes? Where was the respect? Where were the gloves? Did they even bother to wipe the cheeto dust off their fingers before defiling that temple? gasp.2 points

Turned out to be a pretty good day. Got my first CL sale in months. Guy came by to get the July 2016 Knights Retrospective for $20 and asked if I had anything else, said his kid likes minifigs. Sold him a Tupperware dish of about 20 Chima, Ninjago, and SW Ep1-3 battle pack guys for $50. Told him I was just starting to sort through a lot of about 20 pounds of incomplete POTC, City, and MF sets with very few minifigs that are VERY dusty, I had already pulled the one complete set, a ghost train out for myself. Told him $100 for the tub, he was stoked, a little low, but saved me hours of sorting through partial sets and cleaning them. Then I got a BL order for an Epic Dragon Battle (used) for $75.2 points

Getting way off-topic, but most things that have to do with college and can be funded by student loans are a racket these days. Education is a wonderful and powerful thing, but the fact that the federal government subsidizes student loans and has made student loan debt non dischargeable in bankruptcy has allowed many college-related industries to inflate prices in ways that are objectively harmful to those that the underlying policies are meant to help.2 points

I would have to wonder what tlg is doing but then again I remember that there is no understanding tlg.1 point

So I'm trying to follow here. Someone at LEGO took your April Fools joke Photoshop. Then showed it to someone at TLG. That person was so shocked to see it they they felt it was an internal leak and not fan made. Then identified it was you (a non-LEGO employee), and felt that your Ideas account needed to be deleted?1 point

I thought it's been confirmed knowledge a falcon has been coming since like... They just don't like pics.1 point

Gonna reshare what I posted on the Brickset Forums I think I helped solidify this rumor a little more This week, the fake image I made made its way to Kim Thomsen who is one of the higher ups at LEGO I think, anyway he immediately classified it as a leak and asked people not to spread it. So is it just me or did he involuntarily confirm A. A Falcon is coming B. He hasn't seen it but was told it was coming, and my photoshop was sooo good that he fell for it (and had my Ideas projects (one w/ over 6k supporters) and account deleted...) C. IF he's seen it the above image looks very similar to it enough for him to think it was real. Hmm...1 point

Ha! I straightened it out right after I took the pic. It bothered me as well...but I decided to post the pics as they were and let it bother many of you too:) Thanks! It was originally in an old pharmacy in Birmingham, AL in the 20s, and I picked it up about 20 years ago when the family that used to own the pharmacy sold it in the classifieds. Good ole pre-craigslist days when you had work for a find. Lol.1 point

Tie fighter had some big sales early on so I'd say no. Helicarrier could be the best of the bunch as it was in big demand early on.1 point

Tell that to buyers. My Lego Movie Cukoo Palace still ain't selling even though reasonably priced! I don't think the cartoon news will have any effect on sales until it actually airs...1 point

Having now built this, it's no wonder why Lego haven't released a UCS AT-AT. Despite his being well designed and structurally very stable it was a bit of nightmare putting everything together. I spent almost a day attaching the head onto the body. Biggest build to date coming in at just over 6700 pieces. Hopefully that will be topped by the new Falcon and then my UCS collection is complete with respect of in my opinion all of the iconic ships in Star Wars universe.1 point
