  5. I didn't know where else to put this, but it's a great video taken inside the LEGO Archive Vault by Beyond the Brick. Just brilliant to watch all these old and in many cases long forgotten sets and themes:

  7. I'm an 11-year vet of the US Army. I have US flag representations in LEGO bricks throughout my city display. I don't find them offensive in the least, as long as it's represented with dignity & respect. As long as you're not depicting it on the ground, being burned, tattered, etc., it'd be pretty ridiculous for anyone to take issue.

  9. Looks fine to me. Nowadays your going to offend someone no matter what you do though. I wouldn't worry about it.

  15. 3/4 of the marketing and advertising industry in UK are down for maintenance because of ransomware, I'm off today because of the Petya virus which spread across the entire industry within hours shutting down entire facilities and companies leaving us completely unable to work or even use computers. Who knows what's behind this maintenance thing...

  19. Yeah, my sons were very put off by the different voices. Why not just use the original voice actors? How much more marketing buzz gets generated by having Fred Armisen voice one of the characters? I've never understood having famous people be voices for animated films.

  23. Wonder if this is the one modeled from the Lego Friends contest a few months back. The girl that won did a (basic) rendition of a playground and this has a lot of similar traits.

  24. The Lego Batman Movie Batcave - It was $69.99 at one point so I asked if they would honor that price - they said yes. Ended up using about $50 in SYW points to get it down to $20 plus tax. Not a big fan of the Batcave set but I love the minifigs

  25. Agreed. This market is likely even worse. The only difference is perhaps there is a moral argument that can be made as drugs save lives and textbooks only improve education. Excellent point.

  27. Unfortunately the college textbook industry really is a racket. The manufacturers spare no expense lobbying professors to adopt their book then charge outrageous prices, which have gone up over 1000% since 1980. Why because textbook demand is not affected by prices. Calculus has not changed since Cauchy in 1850 so why do we need a new edition every few years if not to prevent used or secondary market options for students. The fact that the exact same books cost less in every other country is to me the straw that breaks it, and I hope all current textbook manufacturers go under. They make the list along with walmart as some of the most detrimental destroyers of the American middle class.
