  1. Slave 1 completed and added to the UCS ship shelf.

I took a chance through a local FB virtual yardsale and picked up a lot for $200. She wouldn't budge on the price. The loose mixed lot has parts to 7261 CTT with beat up box, some random other older SW parts and minis. Plus various pieces from older HP, older City, Exo-Force and other parts from early mid 2000's era. I've picked about 2 dozen various figures so far with some mixed matched and loads of parts and accessories to go through. I'll probably just sell this off after cherry picking and picking out any non Lego stuff. Also in the lot is a open box sealed bags 8289 Technic Fire Truck and a open box sealed bags 10174 AT-ST. I gambled on these 2 hoping all the bags are there. Both Instruction are good along with a nice 10174 UCS sticker. These were literally thrown in a closet in 2007 with other toys stacked on top of them and never touched. Boxes are beat though. Now the hard part of confirming if both sets have all the bags..... That Hippogriff is $10....

  7. Is anyone out in Billund Denmark? Because the sets are out! https://www.promobricks.de/lego-ninjago-movie-sets-im-legoland-billund-shop-erhaeltlich/36304
  8. I went with the Rebel frigate for the personal collection. I'll take $66 for a $119 set to satisfy my LEGO Star Wars OCD habit.
  9. I loaded some ? EU amazon prices are not as US ones are, maybe for xmas they will be I'll be waitin'
  10. Yep, used $15 in points and get $15 back. Call me Even Steven...
  11. You still would, but presumably @exciter1 used points to sweeten the deal.
  12. I do! Hopefully this helps.
  13. 8% EBay Bucks no minimum purchase
  14. 41091 Mia's Roadster My daughter built the first micro build, then set this aside. Doesn't help that there's a castle to put together right now. I'm taking it for myself, lol. I plan on MOC'ing up some parade floats to go in front of the castle and this is perfect for Donald and Daisy to ride in.
  15. I agree that there's been a heavy focus on London recently, but I think this set is different, and is going to suffer because of it. As an American, who's (regrettably) never been to London, I can easily recognize the bridge or Big Ben. They transcend. But this bus...I really question how it's going to do in the U.S. - not that selling well in the U.S. is the end-all-be-all, but I don't think TLG will find this to be a big seller over here. I've never owned any of the recent Creator vehicles (in real life), but I can appreciate the inherent artistry of the VW Bus, the Mini, the new Bug, and even the Ferrari. But this London bus...it's just not iconic enough or artistic enough to be of great interest personally. Perhaps it's memorable in a quirky sort of way, but to me it's not a whole lot different than a New York City taxi cab - and I don't want that set either. It's a specific vehicle germane to a specific city. And if they did make a NYC cab, I'd say that it will never sell well in Europe. I just think this set may be a bit too niche...but what the hell do I know? What I would vastly prefer is this set in purple, and then we would have our first Harry Potter UCS set!

Make sure to buy from EBay TRU and use code PGET15OFF for $15 off orders of $75+ at PayPal checkout
  17. the new one is on the way.
  18. Been working on a UCS MOC for a while but decided to take a break and build Leia. Great little build with great techniques that allow for a number of poses. Will build similar scale R2 next to recreate that iconic scene in a new hope.
  19. I'd probably dump the box and sell without. You'll save a butt load on shipping.

Guys (and moderators), you just raised from the dead a Canadian thread from 2014. That thread was as dead as Target Canada.

I'm not going to lie, those look fantastic, but I am a little more peeved that there will most likely be a gap in the numbering system as they continue this line because of these exclusives. They should've kept them like the other exclusives, and separate from the main line of brickheadz.
  23. Just now sub-$13, but it's been bouncing around the 50% mark for a while. It's not lower than $17.99 anywhere else from what I can tell. Just curious because Amazon usually stays in lock-step with competition.

I think it's safe to say the next announcement may be those. Instead of 4 sets this year I bet they only do 2. I would assume it will be 2 DC characters. Make something along the lines of JL or whatever else is coming out soon for them.

I think the point is they are fudging exclusives into an existing collection. Exclusives such as SDCC mini builds, bat pod, space slug, Lester minifig etc are fine. The problem comes when you introduce a series you want people to collect, then make some of those highly exclusive. The box clearly states 15&16 so Lego are acknowledging these characters form part of a larger collection and given they are only available to purchase at RRP at 1 show in 1 country, it's not really on. I don't collect brickheads at all but can appreciate the frustration.
  26. Auction in Chicago today 3-9pm details here - http://www.directauction.com/list.html
  27. What? I'm already looking forward to 10264 Black Cab and 10270 Boris Bike. And don't forget mini figures series 20. The Cockneys. Including Chimney Sweep, Pearly King and Queen, Market Stall Seller, Beefeater and many more.
  28. Yeh , local shop sales have been a little grim. Prices are reasonable, it's just the selection is a bit stale. Regular eBay 15% deals been ok though. Been buying the harder to find sets at pretty good discount, as the eBay codes work on worldwide purchases. Biggest gamble is, will my set survive a month in the mail?

No kidding. Boo hoo. It's an exclusive. It a reward for going to the Con. People have completely lost sight of that.
  30. YMMV There is a free $10 points back for $35 purchase in my cart. No coupon needed
  31. 2 points
Because people actually want this lol. If this wasn't an exclusive there would be no value. I just paid 2,400 for one minifigure the other day to complete my SDCC collection. I don't mind because they only made 350. I for one like the sdcc exclusives. Never been personally...yet I have all the SW/marvel stuff from them. How is this possible?!?! If only there was a way to buy stuff on that internet. Oh well maybe in the future. Either collect them or don't. People on here I would assume would like the exclusive stuff.
  32. City Ferry (60119) back to $13.41 @ Amazon if anyone's interested.
  33. Is it just me but do others think that Lego have overdone the London/Uk themes over the past year? We've had Tower Bridge (which just won't die), Big Ben, mini London bus, caterham, London skyline, Buckingham palace and now we get a the Creator version of the London bus. This is not London bashing since I live in old London Town but there are many other places that they can get inspiration.
  34. Thanks for the clarification, @AirborneAFOL and @mizeur. I just replied via eBay to maintain official channels and documentation. Gave the buyer the tracking info and dates sent and delivered as well as address it was supposed to be delivered too. That's pretty much all I can do on my end.
  35. If you take a certain Eurobricks member's profile picture as a hint, the next Ideas set is...
  36. Back of the top of the bus has the round pieces

Last years brickheadz were beyond easy to get at SDCC. I go every year, and every year deal with the absolute horror of exclusive lines. For some reason, last year was cake for lego Brickheadz. I literally walked through the line twice and got multiple of them. I absolutely hated them though so I'll admit I flipped them to cover other costs. Now the mini fig? That was a lot tougher. Lined up every morning at 6/7am last year and was 2nd and 3rd in line two times. The difference was, the brickheadz lines weren't popular. Maybe it was the fact they were coming to retail later, and MAYBE this spidey one will draw a larger crowd. Who knows!
  38. 18cm x 34cm I almost hit the sweet spot.
  39. I'm sure there will be some mud slinging my way with what I'm about to say, but I'm going to anyways. I understand that for some of you with Ninjago, it seems you guys tend to avoid it for investing purposes. With that said, for those that are planning on buying it, my goodness, I've seen cheap, and then you guys are taking the cake with this. For some sets like the death star remake, I can completely understand waiting for discounts because even I think it's a rip off for $500. But this set has almost 5000 pieces for only $300. No matter your view on price per piece, but that is such a ridiculously good deal, especially with 16 minifigs....
  40. Recently I got back from a duty in Nigeria and bought some retired sets for myself (thanks to the allowance). One of these sets is set 10027 "Train Engine Shed". After I received the set I dismantled it, washed the bricks and base plates and started building. During the building I found several parts were used which are not original and some parts were missing. Still need to order those. Nevertheless I am very very happy with this set. A great appearance and it looks great on display. One day I will use it for my future City. Luckily I found out the Emerald Night (another set I bought after my duty) cannot pass it due to the width. A major crash has been avoided . Cheers!

Had a great day at the driving range yesterday. Not that it matters. It all goes out the window when I'm on the course.
  42. Well, ok since we're so far from a Daily Deal. My Kmart offers have been something like $10 off $500 in Sporting Goods. Sporting Goods? I always feel like they attached some sorta camera to the email just to see the expression on my face...
