Finished building this today. Very fast build since there aren't a lot of pieces. Still love the design and I think it displays very very well. Can't believe it's 15+ year old set.

(Disclaimer - the following is aimed at no one in particular, but simply offered as advice that could benefit us all a little.) I wish everyone complaining about getting screwed would realize that you have more of a say and impact than you think - and by accepting these bogus decisions and policies and simply venting here, you are only enabling it to continue. I've had final decisions reversed, had buyers made to pay for bogus "SNAD" return shipping, had negative feedback erased, and more. You simply have to be patient and persistent - and let eBay know that the situation is unacceptable. First make an honest effort to work it out with the customer. Have the evidence available showing that you tried to provide your own excellent customer service, without being cheated. Then escalate the case to managers. Insist on it when they say one is not available. Call back when they hang up. Put in the time. Explain your situation over and over. Document every call and conversation. Reiterate how long you've been a customer, and how terrible the customer service experience you are getting is - all without being a jackass. Simply make your problem their problem, and they will usually become more willing to help you get rid of it. It's rare, but you can even occasionally find a human that cares enough to see the situation the way it is, and do what is right. Yes, they have the power to do that. There is no "buyer always wins" policy. Certainly that is the eBay culture that has developed in the past few years, but each case is handled individually in the end - by humans. Do your part and make them act like it... or else don't complain. Maybe it's not worth the effort to you, and maybe it shouldn't be this way, but deal with things the way they are to the best of your ability and you'll find a lot more satisfaction.

I have quite a few sets that I have recently built and still in the queue. The most recent build is the new Snowspeeder and I was happy to get a refresh of this set for my collection. I built two-to-three bags every day for 5 days and I really enjoyed the build because there wasn't a lot of greebling. My favourite part is the ass end; it looks fantastic and the designer did a great job on both that and the sleek appearance. I put the stickers on but the only ones that add aesthetic value are the front orange one and the side window white stripes, the others are a complete waste. I would like to see a little more work on the underside (or how about a functioning tow cable) and two tiles on the back 45 degree 1x2 bricks instead of loose studs but it's an overall great piece and I don't really like the Snowspeeder to begin with!

We decided to open up an oldie. The box was rather shelf worn as it has been stored on various shelves since 2007.

Okay, I'm gonna have to disagree with you. That ain't no remake. That DB is a work of art. I do like the Fire Mech and the Sand Green Dragon. Those are awesome.

And I appreciate that... although it's difficult to find the coupons amongst the corn dog boxes. Can you separate your recycling next week, please?

Got bored tonight so I decided to make Gal Gadot Wonder Woman!

First attempt at using rebrickable and brick link. Should have really stuck to building 1 model at a time but complicated life by ordering for 4 different models to save on postage. Finding some parts of both brick link and rebrickable more hard work than they really need to be. Here is my first moc, Anio's ST19 Sith Infiltrator. Still waiting on a few final printed parts and the sticker but happy with the result. Roskolnikovs large AT-AT is next up then the upgrade pack for 42056 and thanks to @thoroakenfolder I'm busy collecting parts for a 10134

It's funny that anyone thinks TLG would be releasing sets that they aren't making sufficient margins on. I'd go the other way and say that sets like this show you how much they overcharge for most everything else.

Fake. This guy was talking bull to me around the time of the TLJ leaks. Also LEGO doesn't label upcoming sets, especially Star Wars, especially ones for a movie that has yet to come out at the time of the 2018 catalog release, like that.

Having pretty much worked through the backlog of UCS sets, I'm now turning my focus to UCS MOCs as well. Already built Mort's Nebulon Medical Frigate and Cavegod's Tie Defender. Currently building a mini-figure scale AT-AT, based on Cavegod's AT-AT. Got the rest of Mort's rebel fleet planned (specifically rebel transports and the Tantive IV) as well as Docking Bay 27. Will probably also do the Rogue one, since that is amazing and reasonably cheap to source all bricks, given the number of pieces.

I, too, had a banner week on BL. I hope we aren't all getting scammed by the same three or four people. Lol

Point taken. If you read my posts in their entirety, you would have seen the part where I say " now they will have to deal with me". I fought tooth and nail as i do every time they or any one else attempts to screw me. And I have won almost every appeal, including this one. That's not the point. The point is that eBay always sides with the buyer, even when they know they are wrong, because they want them to come back and shop again. Rewarding these bad seeds creates a toxic environment for sellers, where we are constantly on the defensive. It's wrong. We are customer of eBay as well, as we use their site and have to pay up for it. By all means punish the bad sellers, but the good ones get punished too. That was my point. The chips are stacked heavily against eBay sellers, and people know it and abuse the system. Same situation with Amazon. I know how the system works, and that if you fight hard enough you can prevail. . I don't complain sitting on my hands - I fight. However, why does it have to be that way? This post was meant to vent, but also to inform other BP'ers of this kind of situation, because if you sell on eBay or Amazon, it's going to happen to you too.

My daughter and I built 41593 Captain Jack Sparrow Brickhead on a daddy daughter date night last week, which she followed up with 41586 Batgirl Brickhead earlier this week after it went on sale at TRU while we were spending $30 to get a free battlepod. I am not a Brickheadz guy, but my daughter loves them!

Something must be in the water today - didn't sell anything for two weeks and then sold almost 2k worth today

Click on order, click on Report Problem (if you want to NPB the buyer, you need to hold the item and sell to them if they end up paying) or Request to Cancel (you can proceed with cancelling right away). I only do the NPB process and leave negative feedback if the buyer says they will pay and then doesn't (makes me suspicious of competitor tying up the stock of others). Otherwise I cancel by selecting the option that buyer did not pay and move on. I wait one week from invoice before cancelling unless there's communication from buyer.

Thanks for the replies. Yea, so the "$5 points for $25 spend" is for online only. The one order I paid for online got those points this morning. Another order from the same day but paid in store, got the $10 points for $50 spend. What confused me is that I saw a sign for it at the 2nd Kmart I went to. I ended up splitting the purchase up into $25+ bunches. Turns out the sign was a farce and the correct thing to do was to split them into $50+ purchases. The other 4 purchases that I split into $25+ thresholds have no bonus points. Lost $20 bonus points... =*( It'd be nice to know what promos are actually running... but per my previous post, I'm going to get a printed receipt on my first purchase to double-check the promo is actually kicking in.

Finally completed US Capitol this evening. Taken me a couple of weeks, half an hour here and there. The dome at the end was the best part of the build. Amazing how long this thing is (45cm) and twice the length of White House. Really like the contrasting white and sand green.
