  13. That's correct. Walmart doesn't do ship to store and PM the store price. If you want that price you have to find it in store at that price. And if it's out of stock then you're out of luck at that store.

  14. WTF last season???? I was aftraid of this when Feloni spoke about Rebels as the place to end CW storylines I think I saw a U-Wing, X-Wings, and Ezra got a jetpack Based on the animation style, Forces of Destiny seems to be aimed at even younger kids (Disney channel proper, not even XD) boo...

  15. The promotional/coupon stacking you can do at the moment in German stores is ridiculous (in the positive meaning of the word). Say you'd like to have all 12 BrickHeadz. In the end you'll pay the regular 120 Euros, but by taking advantage of the running 3x VIP points promo, stacking the 100 VIP points coupons from the Wall Calendar, adding Mini Beetles by getting to 40 Euros (again and again) and splitting everything into multiple transactions - what you get back for your 120 Euros for 12 BrickHeadz is 960 VIP points and 3 Mini Beetles. That means: As soon as the Mini Beetle hits 24 Euros on Ebay, you'll have gotten your 12 BrickHeadz "for free". Looking at this, TLG might be in serious trouble sales-wise at the moment. Maybe all the crappy releases from recent months already have a significant effect on investors buying very much less than before, forcing Lego to do so many (unannounced) promotional stuff that you simply HAVE to buy because something.

  16. The person I quoted. Not you dude; you asked a harmless question. And let's be real for a second; over the past 4 years, this hobby has attracted some extraordinarily toxic individuals. And I'll never get the people like I quoted above who don't understand their own hypocrisy. I keep watching it get worse and I had to jump out of lurking for a quick second to say so.

  19. I'm about 2/3 through it right now. There are some pretty repetitive parts, especially the parts with tons of cheese wedges, and as has been said the two towers are identical so by definition they are pretty repetitive. I think just by the design of this one there is a limit to how creative the build can get to build a couple towers. However, I am still having fun bulding it, and it's cool to see how it comes together.

  20. Reminder: Lego Store monthly mini-build registration just opened. This month it's a little race car. https://shop.lego.com/en-US/minibuild-registration

  21. I think it's probably a bit of both. It is repetitive, but it's also an accurate representation of the source material. I enjoyed building it because I really dig the size and part count on these large landmark sets. Of course, I'm a big fan of the architecture sets as well. I wish LEGO would do more of them, perhaps an annual release like the Modular Buildings or the UCS Star Wars sets. There is no shortage of available landmarks to recreate.

  28. After about 16 months of collecting/acquiring stock, I finally began my first foray into selling. I listed all of these items last weekend. eBay: Raptor Escape - $118.5 (I bought 3 from a guy in a Wal-Mart parking lot for $120 about a year ago) Wookie Gunship - $70 (buy-in was $40 from Target clearance) Series 1 Microfighters X-Wing + TIE - $40 (buy in was $20) Rhino and Sandman Supervillain Team-up - $39.50 (buy in was $19 from Wal-Mart clearance) Loose Minifigures: Jek-14 - $20 Ithorian Jedi Master - $15 Wolfpack Clone Troopers (x2) - $20 AT-DP Drivers (x2) - $8 Kallus - $10 All in all, I'm pretty satisfied with the return. I never intended this to be a major source of revenue, but these sales at least somewhat offset the cost of my habit. I'm sure I could have held on longer for higher returns, but I've run out of storage space and my (live-in) girlfriend is constantly reminding me of this fact.

  33. Poe's X-Wing looks like it gets blown up. I assume a new TIE design, so classic TIE will get a hiatus. Falcon's gonna get retired. No one wants old man Solo when they can get something else. Plus with the new Falcon coming, they probably only want people to see a single option. Constraction figures don't sell, these ones will retire. If you think for a hot moment that LEGO will neglect to capitalize on the fan's need to own every new version and leave 2 year old product on the shelves when they can hot swap figures and change packaging, that's funny. Speeders, A-Wing, New TIE, Gorilla Walker, some kind of environment probably small and made for Jedi training. Need to get omething in the $24.99 or less price range.

  44. For the last one, this is where you split the cost to all items acquired. Example here again, spend $60 to get a $60 item (this is the market value) plus a freebie that has a market value of $14. Your total market value to use as a basis is $74, so use that and take 60/74*60 for one item and 14/74 * 60 to get your value of the 2nd item which would be $48.64 and $11.36, but now you have a basis for both items and when you sell either one you will get taxed fairly on them both.

  45. My daughter finally finished up the Republic Gunship after a long hiatus due to Spring busyness. She left the stickers off (which is a first) bc we are planning on selling this one at some point, but my son and daughter really like this one. Lots of playability and a sturdy build, and it usually ends up being loaded with about 6 extra mini figures and an occasional Friends mini-doll. Pretty sure they also added the large 'rock shooter' missile from Coles Tread Assault 9444 to it to give it more firepower after we took the pics as well. Ha!
