Found this fellow on Craigslist (Baltimore) for $150. Needs a bath for the layer of dust, but otherwise in excellent condition.14 points

A used/99% complete 75055 for free from Facebook Marketplace. They were asking $50, but couldn't find the third book and gave up on inventorying it, so they just gave it to me. Sweet!6 points

It's all good. I don't mind being the punch line to a BP joke. I deserve it for going so deep on that set. I'm sure I'm not the only one who's made a regrettable purchase that seemed like a sure thing at the time. Live and learn. I have a feeling that as soon as I sell my last one the price on those things is going to skyrocket...or not.6 points

Out with the kids and happened to pass by my local Lego shop. Even though I have my quota of beetles couldn't resist popping in to see if they had any and they did so bought an Eiffel Tower for me and a y m-wing microfighter for my son who was with me. As well as getting the beetle, got a few polys thrown in, including an admiral yuralen. Not bad for a spontaneous purchase of less than £40 if I do say so myself.5 points

After about 16 months of collecting/acquiring stock, I finally began my first foray into selling. I listed all of these items last weekend. eBay: Raptor Escape - $118.5 (I bought 3 from a guy in a Wal-Mart parking lot for $120 about a year ago) Wookie Gunship - $70 (buy-in was $40 from Target clearance) Series 1 Microfighters X-Wing + TIE - $40 (buy in was $20) Rhino and Sandman Supervillain Team-up - $39.50 (buy in was $19 from Wal-Mart clearance) Loose Minifigures: Jek-14 - $20 Ithorian Jedi Master - $15 Wolfpack Clone Troopers (x2) - $20 AT-DP Drivers (x2) - $8 Kallus - $10 All in all, I'm pretty satisfied with the return. I never intended this to be a major source of revenue, but these sales at least somewhat offset the cost of my habit. I'm sure I could have held on longer for higher returns, but I've run out of storage space and my (live-in) girlfriend is constantly reminding me of this fact.3 points

Which Porsche set is it again? IMHO , significantly. Agents is the one line I don't buy. And I buy EVERYTHING. Unless, I already have a buyer lined up. Which did happen once, but just once.3 points

you should change your profile photo and have your dad hold the steamroller instead of the friends set.3 points

Ebay price will be $60 in two years time. $10 in fees, $15 to ship. $5 profit. It may or may not be worth it to you. I would pass.3 points

You should ask this in the "Deal or No Deal" or "What LEGO set to buy/sell" threads instead of in the Daily Deals thread, but the gist is: Ultra Agents is long since retired so we know how the sets perform. Those Speed Champions sets have not yet retired so people are hopeful they will do well, but there is no guarantee. Personally, I would rather have Speed Champions than Ultra Agents2 points

I still want to see Luke Skywalker straight up wasting people with his green lightsaber. Plus, Old Man Luke minifigure would be cool too.2 points

You can use it to buy a $200 Kmart giftcard on Raise (though not shown in the email, shown when you click the link) and save yourself and extra 5% or so, get the 25% extra points plus the 8% Raise points, and then your normal percentage (based on your VIP status) on purchasing Lego from SYW with the Raise GC...2 points

That Airport Fire Truck had the distinction of being unique and done well and was a good addition to people's airports. I think it'll be a while before another one of those comes out in either the Fire or Airport subtheme. In this case, that utility truck looks a bit juniorized and a dime-a-dozen. Load up on it if your city needs a cable TV outage crisis. Pass on it for investing.2 points

Yes, I'll take more pics today and ask them about the 10179 remake. I have the rugrats with me, so looking away for pics is a challenge. They are running from exhibit to exhibit.2 points

Sold a used 5378 Hogwarts (3rd Edition) today for $725 CAD. Ebay, and certainly not the lowest price by a big margin. Sold well above BP suggested market value. Buy-in of $121, paid back the entire lot it came from. Whoot!2 points

The Exo-Suit...now that's one set that I'm glad I didn't follow the hoard on. I bought two. Gave one to my son and sold the other locally at cost. I escaped that money pit unscathed. Unfortunately, all of the money I saved from not buying Exo-Suits I spent on more Steam Rollers.2 points

...or ten. Lol...if K Mart was still relevant in GB I'd be more than happy to share some coupons. Sadly, both of mine closed up shop a few years ago. Would Shopko coupons suffice? Otherwise all I got is beer.2 points
