Hesitated to crack open this new sealed set, but had the itch to build something to add to the street. Large set, but build was very basic.10 points

Had built this a few weeks ago and finally applied the stickers. Designed by Bruno Jenson, instructions by Thorsten and professional stickers by Jaap Technic. More info can be found on rebrickable and Eurobricks.7 points

It sounds as if people might start going back to selling LEGO out of their trunk, in the TRU parking lot. I can't remember who mentioned doing that, years ago.3 points

Advent calendars are primarily for children, and children happen to really like BB-8. I don't see how this is a terrible decision. Maybe the execution could have been a little better than just slapping a Santa hat on, but the more Santa you make it, the less BB-8 he becomes.3 points

Had $130 in TRU rewards points that I wanted to use so I purchased a Parisian Restaurant and Palace Cinema and paid the balance with 15% gift cards. I can't make up my mind whether or not I will hold on to sell. I've got a Pet Shop stored away that I picked up when LEGO had them for $120. How do the modulars look built and displayed together? I am sure they are a great build experience. I can't make up my mind!!!! ?2 points

Daughter built this set today: 41307 Olivia's Inventor Lab. What a great little set! Looks so good in person ... and those robots have a ton of personality. Lid of the box is a printed tile, most other items are stickers. Here are the three robots. Fun to see the baby bottle used again, and the azure tools are pretty unique too: What I found really clever is that the two bigger robots use a lever piece to balance themselves when they are free-standing, but my daughter immediately figured out that those levers act as charging plugs when docked - see here: An amazing little set (RRP $9.99, I got mine for slightly over $5 from KMart).2 points

New gates on Amazon (and more coming soon for alot more categories). On alot of Lego listings you can now sell only "new" unless you are ungated in Toy Building Blocks. The fee is $2500 but like every other gated category they are most likely not ungating anyone even if you have all of the correct paperwork and pay the fee. This means no more used sets can be sold as "collectible" for alot of Lego listings. With condition notes gone new means new again. Lots of toy brands are affected not just Lego. My advice diversify, diversify and diversify (especially on Amazon). New brands and categories are getting gated everyday so list as much as you can to get grandfathered in. If you business model is mainly one brand on one platform (especially Amazon) then your business is going to be in trouble sooner or later when conditions become restricted or the entire brand get shuts down. If you are adamant you only want to resell Lego then make sure you have a backup plan other than Amazon (such as FB marketplace, Offer Up, your own Shopify store, ebay etc). If you are at a scale where you cannot possibly self fulfill your inventory by yourself and are relying on Amazon FBA to move everything you could be in real trouble if they shut the brand down. Even if you are grandfatered into Lego right now on Amazon do NOT build your business model on the assumption you will be able to sell it forever more on that platform. Big changes coming in other categories from what I hear as well. Not really surprising as Amazon continually makes big changes in Bezos's quest for 3 hour fulfillment to most of the country on most of its catalog while complying with every possible law and tax regulation (3P sellers will be collecting sales tax believe me before everything is said and done unless you are based in a tax free state).1 point

Nope... there have been some notable misprints on boxes on printed tiles and none of them are any more collectable. The BTTF Delorean had a misprint on the Flux capacitor tile. Artic Batman was printed on one box. Some boxes have had incorrect piece counts. There are of course those who try to sell for a premium of a super rare misprint collectible but generally speaking they don't fetch a premium since there are literally thousands of them. It's not the same as trading card misprints which tend to be extremely rare and even then it has to be on someone noteworthy or it can be worth less.1 point

I assume here that you are selling individual bricks in your BL store (you can sell full sets or vehicle/minifigs/building kind of part-outs as well on BL).... Keep in mind that you won't necessarily sell all pieces from a set, or at least not easily/fast. Actually, depending on the type of set, you might find very little interest in most of your parts, even when priced below the 6 month average. The trick with BL is to find sets that have the right in-demand parts, and at a price where the in demand parts provide enough ROI that they make the purchase (and part-out) worth your while. Where that price is depends on your own objectives and tolerances, but you'd need a very good discount on your sets to make 75% of 6mth average work out for you.1 point

Another quality Rebels season finale. While the plot was "so so" in my opinion, the space battle action more than made up for it. Some comments w/o spoiling it. It was surprising how some characters' fate ended up. At least the Bindu finally did something other than talk in riddles. So Yavin is the next base? I thought Dantooine was before Yavin... still no b- wings? Where are the b-wings?1 point

Thanks for the advice. I just configured them right after I saw your post. Hopefully I see a difference!1 point

I wouldn't wait if you want to get these speed champs. The free beauty and the beast build is tomorrow and it's been advertised on Facebook all week, so I expect there to be more than the usual amount showing up for that. The price tag showing the "was $65" inflated price will make this look like an even better deal and they will probably go pretty quickly.1 point

The set has been built for a while but we had an acrylic case (no bottom) made for it and the Tower Bridge. I know the plastic is still on... leaving it until it finds a home in our LEGO room. If anyone is curious, it's 1/8" acrylic made locally to my exact measurements. Big Ben's was just $50 and TB was $70 and they made them in three days after I paid. (Canadian funds so around $2 US )1 point

I would wait for 50 % discount + the price of the zombies and sharks on bricklink must be over 50 eur. Because the rest of the set is just a garbage, including the non-zombie figs. Otherwise I f**k this bad joke.1 point

My daughter and I spent the morning building the Pop Star Tour Bus and I am overjoyed with how happy she is with this set! My wife and I were not sure about the size of it (it seemed small) until we saw it fits nicely in the lane on a road plate. Thanks Brick Picker for showing me the light of not having to pay retail prices (got it for $35)! I spent the afternoon building the UCS Slave I. It seems much smaller and less detailed that I thought it would be. Oh wait, that is the 2016 Star Wars Advent calendar version...1 point
