Hesitated to crack open this new sealed set, but had the itch to build something to add to the street. Large set, but build was very basic.10 points

Had built this a few weeks ago and finally applied the stickers. Designed by Bruno Jenson, instructions by Thorsten and professional stickers by Jaap Technic. More info can be found on rebrickable and Eurobricks.7 points

It sounds as if people might start going back to selling LEGO out of their trunk, in the TRU parking lot. I can't remember who mentioned doing that, years ago.3 points

Advent calendars are primarily for children, and children happen to really like BB-8. I don't see how this is a terrible decision. Maybe the execution could have been a little better than just slapping a Santa hat on, but the more Santa you make it, the less BB-8 he becomes.3 points

I received a $20 back on $75 purchase earlier today that stacked with a $15 off $75, and $10 bonus back in points. I ended up making an $85 purchase (3 Phantoms and a Pizza Truck), and received $34 back in points.2 points

Had $130 in TRU rewards points that I wanted to use so I purchased a Parisian Restaurant and Palace Cinema and paid the balance with 15% gift cards. I can't make up my mind whether or not I will hold on to sell. I've got a Pet Shop stored away that I picked up when LEGO had them for $120. How do the modulars look built and displayed together? I am sure they are a great build experience. I can't make up my mind!!!! ?2 points

Daughter built this set today: 41307 Olivia's Inventor Lab. What a great little set! Looks so good in person ... and those robots have a ton of personality. Lid of the box is a printed tile, most other items are stickers. Here are the three robots. Fun to see the baby bottle used again, and the azure tools are pretty unique too: What I found really clever is that the two bigger robots use a lever piece to balance themselves when they are free-standing, but my daughter immediately figured out that those levers act as charging plugs when docked - see here: An amazing little set (RRP $9.99, I got mine for slightly over $5 from KMart).2 points

There's a way to make him creative, do a Christmas ornament deco on him and you're actually creative. Throw a hat and snowboard on him and you're lazy. Usually there are 2 themed characters per set and this time it's like a half.1 point

Hello all! I've been a rabid collector for my whole life, and over the last 3 years I've been reselling on a small-time level as a hobby, generally to fund a family vacation each year. Recently, I opened a bricklink store as an extension to the hobby. I've been setting the prices of some things at 75% of the 6 month average, and others right on the average. I'm not looking to quit my job, I just do it because it forces me to organize, and I'm having fun with it. The question I have, is how do you guys decide what's a good candidate to part-out, and what's a good candidate to "leave in storage" for reselling later? For example, I seeded a few First Order Transports (I grabbed a slew of them), and a few of the clearance racing sets to supplement what I already had up there. After doing this, I then felt guilty about breaking up perfectly good sets. ;-) Any thoughts or advice?1 point

My 3 1/2 year old's first solo build with me as the guide! Was surprised at how quickly he understood the relation between the pictures and the live build.1 point

Except that the first run of Jack Sparrow is faulty. People keep forgetting that.1 point

Built the Silent Mary ... Surprising easy build at about 3.5 hours total. The floating effect looks awesome at eye level and should make for a cool display set. The collapsible mast is a little flimsily and I am curious if it will get worse with time - I also have the chest printing error on the Jack Sparrow figure as others have noted. Overall really cool set and looking forward to the movie now!1 point

Over the last week my son and I worked on Benny's Spaceship together. Fun build! Big and bulky. The kids are fighting over who can have it hanging up in their room.1 point

So I asked my question on the BO forums and they helped sort it out. It turned out I had "Local Collection" checked on my domestic shipping methods. Unchecking that fixed it.1 point
